That Nemesis Fight is similar to Tyrant’s Final form Battle that we didn’t get.
Because Tyrant in The RE2 remake was actually looked injured rather that transformed. See the difference?

snapdragon64k-47 Orbital Capcom took fan criticism to heart. One of the main things people said about Mr.X was that after a while, his footsteps stopped being menacing and was edging closer to goofy. It doesn’t help that people tended to mod the PC version to change the footstep sfx to goofy things like Macho Man Randy Savage shouting “OH YEAH” with every step or changing it to squeaky shoes.

This looks unbelievably AWESOME! The banter between the survivors feels fresh but in character, Jill's voice actor sounds great for her personality too! Nemesis looks terrifying which is good - and the city looks like you're actually going through the city of the dead. I honestly can't wait!
I really enjoyed the interaction between Carlos & Jill. They really kept his personality! 👍

Nemesis be sliding into those DM's like...and yeah, he looks bloody terrifying. The over the shoulder view just shows how much bigger than Jill he is, super imposing.
And yeah, it does look like he does run at times. Not full-on sprinting like he did in the original, but still likely faster than what you can make.

@@GodSkul Man Nemesis runs, superman jumps infront of you, has a much lower cooldown between punches, can grab you from a distance if you turn your back to run. Pretty sure theres a limit to limiting the players choices and mobility in conflict. Point is, he can close the space, piss easy and youre slow enough as is.

7j , first of all, no need to insult anyone, second, that “lunge” still has him running, unlike Mr. X slow-ass attacks (with the exception of his mutated form where he charges with that one-hit-kill) which is kinda the point of sprinting. On an unrelated note, I wonder if there is any point in trying to run away from Nemesis rather than fight him as he seems pretty fast and uses his tentacle very often.

Capcom keeps cheating us with the spiders. RE2 remake certainly could have used them, the G monsters just didn't do it for me as reoccurring enemies.

It looks like these are the Drain Deimos and they’ve apparently redesigned them into more spider like creatures. I saw picture of the Brain Sucker and it looks a bit different than this.

nemesis has that cheek, because of his intelligence he rather plays with his prey than straight kill it, like when the boss fight starts he covers the only escape route in flames so you HAVE to "kill" him, i like that. i mean you could see that in the original too in some scenes, carlos even said that he let them live on purpose, just to torture them.

@@realamericannegro977 That's tempting but would otherwise be useless because the first remake already did more than they could've ever imagined. Trying to capture the atmosphere again would be risky since it was alright done better the first time. Although the recent remakes are greatly enhanced, they're not the same style we remembered.
@@VGMR to be honest I don't think they could pull it off anyway. Even these current remakes could be much better than they are and in some ways the games look cheap in comparison to even the ps one titles. I guess cause they made the environments so dark.

So, I'm never negative when I see a game before playing it. However, from what I'm seeing this looks like RE3 DLC for RE2. Lots of reused animations for everyone. I don't want Nemesis to feel like an upgraded Tyrant. He should feel unique. Does that sound like a reasonable reaction?
To be fair, Nemesis is an upgraded Tyrant. If it weren’t for the parasite, it would just been another Tyrant identical to Mr X.
@@Shay96Yes, as far as the story goes. But when you look at gameplay Mr. X and Nemesis are night and day different in the originals. I'm completely fine with similarities between RE2 and RE3. I just don't want them to play exactly the same.

Aaron Choice i was wondering that too. Og re3 had a fuckton of ammo types for the grenade launcher some not not having any effect beyond just being something to shoot. I wonder if they might do explosive acid and freeze or just drop acid if the grave digger isnt in the game. Was kinda the only purpose for flame and acid

Actually, they're mutant fleas, not spiders.
To be fair they do look more like spiders at first glance. I feel like they’re meeting us halfway because of the lack of Web Spinners. I always thought it was weird how they created the Mega and Giga Bites when the Drain Deimos was already introduced in RE3.
They do look like spiders though. I think they mixed Brain Sucker/Drain Deimos with Black Tiger/Web Spinner.

I don’t like how Jill stays static on the ground for a few seconds after being pulled in by Nemesis. I heard someone saying that the original game had this too. I think it looks sloppy and should be updated to a more organic character reaction.
Also heard that game had cinematic rail parts, this has me extremely worried and can be a purchase deal breaker for me.
And what’s up with Jill not utilizing a flash light?

Also JJ, he did run at 12:50. It looks like he has a tell now when he's about to sprint. Considering that Jill can't run as fast as in the original, it makes sense they'd nerf his running.
Also because back in OG with the fixed camera angle you can see almost the whole area, and can tell when he start to run and from where. In this you cannot tell when or where he run up from when you face the opposite direction from him, so they have to make a distinct windup animation.
Was disappointed with RE2 remake because it left a bit to be desired to my fav, but this? RE3 for me was among the weakest classic RE, so basically everything is an improvement. This makes it look like one of the best now.

the onscreen text says Drain Deimos, yeah. iirc Brainsuckers were the stronger version encountered later in the game
I'm gonna cry... Nemisis can now jump to block your path and can use his tentacle lasso move when you first meet him.. I hope when nemesis uses weapons he can't jump.. Or use the tentacle grab move

QTE where nemesis grabs jill's neck and try to use flamethrower on her face would be good! And if players can't completed QTE jill will be brutally murdered! They should add more charge and tentacle in mind distance! And add many QTE moments between Jill and Nemesis! And if player failed to complete QTE! Jill should be brutally murdered and every QTE death should be different!

I kinda hate they're re hashing Mr X's movements.. in the series he was crazy fast and a lot more pissed off and I miss that element. Whatever poor bastard turned into him was probably not too pumped about being nemesis so a little bit of attitude would be rad. 💪

that flash after a successful dodge looks like it could be a prompt to follow with a critical counter. kinda like that thing we could do in RE6.. just a lil' thing they prolly added to give us a bit of an edge vs Neme but very useful vs zombies and other foes. visually , that flash immediately reminded me of Onimusha when successfully performing a parry. das what i get fom this. fair enough and perty cool if so. ty fer the vid!

I hope they keep the style of the original game in the sense that their's not that much backtracking. At least their wasn't as much as their was in Resident evil 2. For this game it feels more appropriate. With Nemesis and that the game is a little more action oriented then Resident evil 2. I am a bit worried that Nemesis will be way too overpowered. I get that he's unstoppable and that's the point. I just hope that he's not so difficult that the game's unplayable.
