Getting sucked into Gardevoir's "black hole" doesn't sound so bad 🥵
*Gardevoir used KILL HIM its super effective
My favorite thing about Gardevoir is the art including it…the good kind. This is a Pokémon that has some of the most beautiful pieces of art associated with it from both official and fanmade sources, particularly ones that portray it as what it’s based on: an elegant guardian. The added fairy type and amazingly beautiful mega really help this category of art come to light. In addition, the contrast between Gardevoir’s grace and Gallade’s coolness is something I really like about the line
Also the fairy type gives it the ability to beat dragons up, so the type actually served really well (dragon slayer)
basically the best gardevoir art is the ones where she's a Disney princess
@@Milk_Drinker420that’s where you’re wrong kiddo
@@BillSchrader best Gardevoir art then is...yuri?
Could you explain the meaning of the word "grave" when you were talking about the contraste between Gardevoir and Gallade?
I do not comprehend
I genuinely love this Pokemon. It's honestly a struggle not to include it on teams for playthroughs if it's available
Psychic/Fairy is very good and it got good offensive stars, definitely a good pick
It’s not a struggle for me, i always include it when available
@@Zoroark_Master I like too many special attacking fairy and psychic types for me to just always use it but it's one of my favorites so it's a hard decision

It’s a fictional species made into a toy, I had thought.
@@king_of_rats_Monfernep Then why is there a hole in it? What did you do?
@@JosephShemelewski Extrasensory toy,maybe.
I understand that Gardevoir is a massive target for a waifu mon, but it’s more than just its human appearance that makes it special.
Though a Pokémon, Gardevoir isn’t exactly an anthro furry. It has an elegant design that shows a more beautiful Pokémon wearing what appears to be a dress. White gives off a sense of purity and the helmet resembles a scene woman’s hair.
The fan art speaks for itself. But we can’t forget that Gardevoir’s Pokédex entry also states how loyal Gardevoir is. Add mystery dungeon, and you have a Pokémon that has qualities of an ideal wife for most. It’s no wonder that’s Gardevoir is so popular for rule 34. But gardevoir appeals more for non furries in comparison to its other poke waifu competition.
The mega evolution feels like Gamefreak caved in and accepted that Gardevoir’s appeal is being feminine and waifu like. I know some people don’t like Gardevoir’s raunchy fan base and want to love it for being a Pokémon alone, but it can’t be denied that Gardevoir has qualities that are desirable for a loyal life partner.
A very analytical way to look at this Pokémon

My most treasured Pokemon memory is when I was around 10 years old finishing Omega Ruby, I was a very shy kid so when I first saw Wally I instantly related to him, and liked seeing him when he popped up. However, like almost everyone playing Hoenn, I forgot about him for most of the game, he didn't show up enough and I had my own story to make, especially because I took a lot of detours and took my sweet time progressing
But then, I got to the end of Victory Road, thinking about finally getting to fight the League... but then he showed up, and everything else stopped in my mind
The passionate way of speaking, him challenging me to a full fight just before the League, the sheer fact of him being even further than I was, his upright stance instead of the nervous one he had at Mauville, the serious look he gave his first Pokemon before throwing his Pokeball, the scenery, the flying roses, and of course, the music, such a display of confidence, epicness, but most of all, growth
The cherry on top was Gallade, the tiny weak Ralts I didn't think much about is now a bladed psychic fighter, with the power of Mega Evolution, a power that I believed only I had (I didn't think much of Maxie's Mega Camerupt), to show his flowing white cape, with Gallade's cry enhanced with the Mega effect (Gallade's cry is one of my favorites ever)...
I was shocked, and Wally's words of hope after losing only reinforced that idea that Wally is now way more than a tiny kid I helped, he is my equal, but, looking inside, I felt he was my superior, as I was still this shy kid that could barely stand up for himself, while he is promising that this won't stop him. He gave me a Dawn Stone as a gift of gratitude, and I instantly knew what I had to do
And so I continued, beat the game and all of that, maybe even the Delta Episode, I don't know what came first, but at one point I felt compelled to do one thing: I went to the same route Wally got his partner, and I caught my own Ralts, I trained it, I evolved it with the very stone Wally gave me, fulfilling my unspoken promise, and raised that new Gallade into Lvl. 100
Wally stayed in my mind as someone I wanted to be, representing what I was and what I could become, and Gallade, coming from the shy and weak Ralts that barely shows his eyes, turning into the noble warrior capable of protecting others, Gallade (in fact, something that I believe is a coincidence, but still means a lot to me, is that Gallade's ability was Steadfast, becoming faster after every flinch, as a way to show that every fall will only make me stronger, and then in Mega, he gets Inner Focus, as a way of finally stating that nothing will make me flinch ever again)
I have said for years that I don't have a favorite Pokemon, but I always knew Gallade was special, and for a good while now I know that no Pokemon will even top Gallade for me
That is so motivating
When you said "10 years", I turned to ashes.
Truly wholesome. Thanks for sharing your story mate!

Funnily Gardevoir wasn’t categorised as a “human-like” Pokemon until Gen 8 (it was/is in the “amorphous” Egg group)
Gardevoir is one of the most elegant Pokemon ever created. Combined with it's protective nature towards a Trainer it truly loves, it's easily one of my favorite Pokemon ever. It's a shame that the Internet has tainted its reputation so much to the point you can't even say that without people immediately assuming you're weird.
I am a fan of elegant pokemon
The meme of do not Google gardevoir name on the internet without safe mode on. 😂
The first time I discovered this Pokemon was through its card in the Delta Species extension of the TCG and my first impression was "a ghost with one eye and no mouth" due to the perspective of the art. I think the early, immobile sprites definitely made Gardevoir look as this ghostly guardian that can feel your emotions but doesn't look anything human, always being oriented in such a way its "face" is just a single eye. But look up its sprites and you will see how they began humanizing it, starting by making its legs visible in its summoning animation in Platinum, then changing the angle of its visible eye in gen 5 to make it appear less stern. Then finally in Gen 6 you could see it from the front so you could clearly see the mouth and the other eye (and the legs, definitely). It always had these elements but the perspective and the support played a huge role on how we saw Gardevoir at the time, and how we see it now.
to add to your comment that Gen 3 had a 3d model for Gardevoir made for Pokemon collosseum and XD on the Gamecube, and Gen 4 for Battle Revolution on the Wii.
In these games, gardevoir model had everything visible, gardevoir was standing on both legs instead of floating and had a mouth visible on its face texture, so I would say that gardevoir was already what she is now during that era, its just with the popularity it got, they got more into that humanized idea of gardevoir instead of its ghostly original appearance in the main series. Even in Gen8, they gave Gardevoir the Egg Group "Manlike" while its original one was Amorphous, which supported the initial design.

Gardevoir legit pulled an anime moment with me when I played BDSP for the first time. I was losing to Cynthia and when my Gardevoir came out, not only did he tank Cynthia’s Garchomp’s Poison Jab, but at 1 HP….twice. So he ended up soloing Cynthia’s most powerful Pokemon xD
As a result, I named a Shiny one Persephone in honor of that moment, even commissioned some Bond Phenomenon fan art with my OC.
5:10 You say that Gardevoir's additional fairy typing seems odd, but here's how I see it... There's enough fairytales about knights slaying dragons, so I think it's a pretty neat detail and that it wraps itself up really nicely! ^^

I personally believe this video is a failure without mentioning the original Pokemon Rescue Team Red/Blue.
Apparently Gator never played this game so I don't blame him, or else this game will 100% be mentioned and take at least 5 minutes in this video.
I blame the whole Gardevoir fetich theme starting from this exact game, where Gardevoir is a very important figure in this game.
See, in this game, you keep seeing a Gardevoir spirit in your dreams telling you have an important role to save the world.
It is implied that this Gardevoir once had a human trainer whom she was very close to.
In one occasion this human trainer angered a Ninetales, and the Ninetales was about to put a curse on this human.
This is when Gardevoir came in and protected her trainer, took the curse in place of him.
I won't spoil the whole plot of this game so I'll just leave it here (yes there's more further on this topic in this exact game)
At the end of day, Gardevoir claims that she never regret this decision of giving out her own life to this trainer, even if everyone thinks this decision is not worth it.
She literally will do anything for the sake of this human trainer, even after she took this curse and became a spirit form that can only talk to you through your dreams.

As of recent it's become one of my favorite Pokémon. I think Gardevoir (and the Ralts line as a whole) has so many aspects to appreciate. Elegant designs and cute lore, the aspect of it being a gentle guardian that sticks with you no matter what is a particularly favorite aspect of it for me, it's heartwarming and perfect for Pokemon. Though likewise I wouldn't say the fanon perception of this Pokemon has ruined it for me it is a bit sad as a huge fan of this Pokemon that it's the thing people tend to bring up the most about it, specially as someone that's not a fan of that type of content. There's so much more to the Ralts line beyond that, to me personally it represents so many personal things. Loved to see a video discussing this, it was very nice!
I agree but I also just thought about it this way. If the degenerate parts of the fandom hadn't sexualized it, then we probably wouldn't even be talking about it rn, because it would be nowhere near as popular as it currently is lol.
Riddle me this:
So you have six Pokémon in real life, five of which are cuddly little dudes like wigglytuff, eevee, altaria, etc.
You also have a gardevoir.
Are you going to only cuddle your five cuddly Pokémon and leave your gardevoir out? Not fair, she might feel less loved.
What if instead of a gardevoir it was a machamp? Then what? Not gonna give him the same snuggles you give your zigzagoon?
We live in a society.
I've waited for 4- no... 5,000 years for this video!
Paraphrase: "i don't understand why she became fairy type."
Maybe because Gardevoir is basically Pokemon's equivalent to your typical fantasy elves, and elves typically had a close association with fairies? Because her japanese name sounds like "Sir Knight" and knights slay dragons?
The romanticization of Gardevoir was inevitable. Game Freak definitely knew this!
To be fair, Gardevoir should have always been a female only pokemon. After Gallade became a thing, gamefreak knew it as well.
My man did not mention the copypasta once in a 10 minute video about Gard. Wholesome.
And so, by the existence of Gallade, Gardevoir was forced feminized.
I'd say that's more or less accurate. Because Gallade is male-only, and Gardevoir has a somewhat more decidedly feminine appearance, I know that me and at least a few of my friends back in the day began to view Gardevoir like that because of Gallade specifically
@@matthewkuscienko4616 They should have allowed us to have female Gallades, too. If not, that then have any male Kirlias evolve automatically into Gallade at lvl. 30 without a Dawn stone.
@@sonicmanic2556i feel like the only reason gallade is male only is because its the gen that introduced gender evolutions so they just used it out of novelty, theres no other reason i can think of
Kinda yes and no i feel. The ralts line’s evolution always kinda had a more feminine appeal to it I feel and yes Gallade kinda helped to push that forward even moreso which is why I kinda wish they gave Gardevoir a notable gender difference in later games to kinda help break that up, maybe something akin to Iron Valiant with the dress part since it would look amazing as a sort of coat tail or something similar for a Male Gardevoir
Another reason why I hate that diaper wearing leek.
I also like how the version of Wally in Masters is from ORAS (i.e. he has Gallade) but they still managed to make him have a Gardevoir later on. And it's shiny too! Then they used that as the basis to have an entire story event about Diantha mentoring Wally.
Aside from characters from different regions interacting, I also like stories in Masters that involve trainers acknowleding other trainers with the same or similar pokémon to them (e.g. Penny gushing over the Eevee and Eeveelutions of other trainers, Zinnia wanting to see who has the better Rayquaza between hers and Steven's, etc.)

Rogue named after the one from X-Men or just random name?
@@theamazingspooderman2697Literally what I was going to ask.
What if in an alternate timeline, Kirlia and Gardevoir were female-only Pokemon? And if Gallade existed sooner in Gen 3 as a level-based male-only evolution? And if Raltz had a male-only mid-stage resembling Pawniard? How'd that have been like? Imagine growing up in that parallel universe with altered memories, experiences, and POVs.
The Ralts line is my favourite, but mostly because of Gallade. But god Gardevoir is based too, I love the way the line progresses from a weak kid in need of your protection to a powerful mage or warrior protecting you instead. Also, Iron Valiant is sick.

I'm guilty, everyone had celebrity crushes when they were young but instead 7 year old me caught feelings for a Gardevoir instead
Oh shoe, here we go again
I think that's why gallade was introduced.
I know what I am. You can't change me.
When I was a kid, I thought the Ralts line were part Grass because they vaguely resembled a green onion stalk.
I think they wanted to make Gardevoir as Gallade but nearly everyone and their mother saw a feminine figure in it so they decided to make Gallade and make it clear with the male only requirement.
I liked Gardevoir from very early on, my first pokemon game was FRLG but I was never able to beat it, then I broke my gameboy trying to catch Moltres and that destroyed all the games it had inside it. My next game was Sapphire and it was also the first pokemon game I beat. Since it was 1 of the few games I had I beat it dozens of times and loved it very much; as a kid though I didn't really play the way I do today, where I know and research exactly what team I want before even booting up the game so I doubt I ever had a Gardevoir back then. Regardless I always thought of a lady whenever I saw Gardevoir, it was beautiful and elegant. Then puberty hit, I got introduced to R18 stuff and Gardevoir fanarts (R rated and otherwise) and I do view her that way more now, I wish they retconned Gardevoir's gender ratio and made Gallade a gender based Evo at lv30 with him being what male Kirlias evolve into and Gardevoir, what female Kirlias evolve into. I now nearly always want a female Gardevoir on my team whenever I play a new game with Gardevoir in it and I never catch a male Ralts for the party unless I can evolve it into Gallade.
As for Wally, I didn't really care much about him when I was a kid, he was just the guy who replaced May ( who I really liked ) to me. But as I grew up and especially with ORAS I understood more about his situation, the themes being clearer and I sympathized with him a lot more; I quite like him and wanna protect him, how he grows and is basically seen overcoming his illness is amazing. He was always meant to have Gallade with him but as I already stated, the majority of people didn't view Gardevoir that way so they made it clear in the remake. I also think that Max was supposed to represent Wally to some extent in the anime and I would've been cool to have him get that Ralts to be with him.
Gardevoir is based on a guardian angel, that's why it's Fairy-type. I've also heard some people don't get why Gardevoir is a Psychic-type, forgetting that an empath is also considered as a psychic.
I think gardevoir got the fairy type because of its angelic inspiration, it has always been pretty clearly a guardian angel, and when the fairy type got added, sweet kiss which is angel kiss in japanese got turned into fairy-type, so the fairy type is also the type for angels, justifying the type change of gardevoir.
Gardevoir should have a *built-in Shadow Ball* [(as primary move)], because from the pokedex entries that tells that it will protect its trainer with its life and summons a black hole.

I used gardevoir a lot back in gen 3. I started with gen 1 and catching ralts was a lot like getting abra. I also played mystery dungeon where gardevoir played a big role. I really liked it at the time. Later on I stopped liking psychic type pokemon like the abra and ralts lines as much since they're fairly one dimentional. I luckily remained oblivious of gardevoir's new image for a long time.
My all-time favorite pokemon since 2007. Some Pokemon like Ogerpon, Ribombee, Celesteela, and Volcarona have come close but nothing has topped the list for me.
Honestly, I remember playing Sapphire and always finding Gardevoir, Raltz, and Kirlia, as a very feminine Pokemon and thinking that it seemed too soft for Wally thematically for that line to be his signature.
That’s also why I feel like fairy fits it. Fairy type generally has had a very girly air to it since introduced, so adding it to Gardevoir in gen 6, while Gallade is a fighting type instead, doesn’t feel out of place at all.
This line is my ace sins gen 3
I feel like Game Freak if they were allowed to, would have had the intro for Gardevoir in the anime being Brock mistaking one for a beautiful lady.
Gardevior has always been my favorite Pokémon and when I was in the 5th grade I made the mistake of googling searching it
I remember when I was a new kid on Pokemon Emerald. I really hate seeing Ralts because it looked like an alien mushroom so I always kill it with my torchic or Conbusken I dunno I forgot. Out of spite and curiousity, I caught one and decided to see what will be its evolution. It turned into Kirlia, lol god damn the damne brocoli turned into a cute pokemon, now I was more interested on its final Evolution. I wasted my whole day grinding it till lvl 30. Here comes the evolution animation. God Damn my alien mushroom turned into a Fine Lady! Gardevoir introduced me to pokemon waifus lol. So whenever I saw a Ralts on newer game I will capture and level it up first haha
I ironically just finished my first play-through of Ruby recently and Gardevoir carried me in Mt Battle when I sent it to XD.
I usually don’t use too many psychic types but Gardevoir definitely made me appreciate them all the more.
Nobody don't give him the idea of "Leave Primarina Alone"!
Anyone remember the Pokesho comic? Cause that's main source of where I recalled where some were starting to slap booba on Gardevoir.
Gardevoir is my favorite psychic type pokémon; I really like the elegant, mystical design, and its lore of being essentially a guardian angel. I will argue that giving it the fairy type is actually rather fitting, as fairy is essentially a combination of the fan-made light and magic types into an official typing, and gardevoir fits pretty well into the magical side of that. The fairy typing also fits gardevoir better now that we have another emotion-detecting psychic/fairy type; hatterene is similar in many ways, but *heavily* plays into the parts of fairy lore that Pokémon usually ignores. I would recommend Gnoggin’s old Fairy Month videos for anyone reading this; they’re only up through Gen VII, but do an excellent job explaining what the fairy type represents, and reasons for why it was given out to the pokémon and moves it was.
Gardivor is, hands down, my favorite Pokémon. Always has been and always will be. I got omega Ruby as my first ever Pokémon game, and when I got the ralts encounter I spent awhile just trying to capture one without it fainting. I was so excited when I did, and coincidentally it was also a male gardivor. Maybe me and Wally swapped lmao. Anyway prized memory’s from my childhood 😌
7:53 best card art I've seen in a while, I love how the evolution line tells a story!
You can't make the change...
I got a ralts on my first playthrough of ruby, and got blessed with ridiculous luck so that it got a pretty high hitting fighting type Hidden Power. Which made large parts of the game completely trivial because it basically covered 90% of all pokemon types with Psychic, Shadow ball, and that Hidden Power. It was pretty great.
i can tell everyone about my relation regarding Gardevoire, i was first introduced to it throe the TCG, i did not know it was a gen 3 pokemon at the time... or so i believe i didn't know at the time. when i first played gen 3 i played Emerald, when i saw wally captureing a ralts it all clicked for me, this is the generation where gardevoire was introduced, for all my time all i knew gardevoire as was the friendless guys alakazam, so i cought a Ralts, disowned my starter (Torchick), got a Gardevoir and had it become a consistent top 5 and most times top 3 favorite. in gen 6 with the fairy type, Gardevoire quiclky became my absolute favorite for all the advantages Fairy brought with it, fairy is generally my favorite types with Gardevoire and Galar Rapidash both my 2 favorites share the Psycic/Fairy typing which i do not believe is a coincident... anyhow around gen 6 i also became THAT type of Gardevoire fan, but that part IS unrelated
EDIT: want to specify that that first Ralts i cought was female and my like for Gardevoire made me seek out fact about it
I've relied heavily on my Gardevoir, Lily, for the past twenty years and I couldn't be prouder of her; she is a good girl who is never to be lewded nor lusted after
Gardevoir is my second favourite Pokémon. From its elegant design to its lore,to its battle properties. I use it every single time I play through Hoenn and I always have the biggest smile on my face when it joins the team, evolves or when I win battles😊.
I have so much history with Gardevoir, I had one on my team in Gen 3, And Gen 6 I actually defeated Diantha using a base Gardevoir against her Mega Gardevoir but mine had shadow ball, lol!!! And The second Pokemon I ever got to a Level 100.
Uh oh….
But in all seriousness, I was first introduced to Gardevoir by Pokémon Colosseum. And I finally got to get my own in ORAS. My Gardevoir Bella had been with me from the beginning and at the end when I beat the elite four this year.
I’m glad that I raised her well 😊👍🏽
Also I think Wally is an awesome character/Rival. Kid deserves respect for how far he came.
Gardevoir has always been one of my favorites, ever since I got into Pokemon
I wish Gallade wasn’t gender locked because it makes me not like it honestly it feels like an unnecessary masculinisation of the Ralts line because Gardevoir was “too feminine”. If it was 50/50 like Gardevoir then that wouldn’t really be such an issue
When I played through ORAS for the first time, I had already decided on my team, that being Blaze the Blazekin, Voir the Gardevoir and Sol the Absol, and the idea was that they were all pokemon I had as a part of my rescue team in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
When I caught my Ralts, I grinded out encounters with the pokenav to get one with good IVs.
I got that Kirlia TCG full art Scarlet & Violet card!
It’s actually pretty cool to see a Pokemon line gain new meaning as time goes on.
According to Pokémon Masters, not only did Wally get a Ralts on his first encounter, but he also went back and found a shiny.
Honestly I still think of the knight more than anything. I just think it's such a cool idea, and I love all of the evolution line, even if I've taken a bit more to gallade than the others. I think all of the designs are just very creative in how they integrate the knight motif, and I don't think the 'princess' negates that, just kinda makes me think about Zelda in Twilight princess, a princess but still ready to take sword in hand.
I think the dairy typing fits since fairy is also a stand in for magical type. So it hint to gardevoir being a wizard as well.
tbh in my personal experience, this ride the ralts evolution line has now, started, partially, because of mystery dungeon (don't get me wrong, i LOVE that game), in that game, gardevoir had a, sort of, "girlfriend-like" story with you, is literally the whole reason you became a pokemon to start with, and it becomes a motivator along the way, i never though of gardevoir as a female character up until that game, which also make me feel a deep bond with (guess who has like... 6 different gardevoirs, yeah, me), before this game, gardevoir was just a cool pokemon
edit: add more context
3:51 sun and moon anime episode three
Gardevoir is a situation of a character being retconned because of the fandom because gardevoir was supposed to be a more masculine character and based on how princes and knights dressed in the Middle Ages it’s Japanese name is even SIR KNIGHT but then the fandom personified it as a female character so then they gave us gallade to fulfill gardevoir’s original role
Gardevoir is Lucario done right, Because its the main Pokemon for a rival-type character and not forced on you by the plot you grow to revere it. Its rare like Pikachu was in the Viridian Forest, but not a one time thing like Riolu. And again the plot doesn't force it on you, it lets Wally do his thing and makes Gardevoir into this badass Ace for another trainer
Yeah, what is it with GF and throwing eggs into the mid-game (even though that probably wasn’t your point)? Like, bro, I’ve already built my team and I’m on a roll like Miltank; I’m not gonna take out a week or something to hatch an egg, tediously grind it, and then stew over who to replace. This thing’s going in the box! Eggs should either stay in the homestretch/postgame, or have a (more consistently) high leveling rate.
I think Gardevoir was originally supposed to be a prince or smth.. i heard that from lockstin n noggin
Gardevoir is something of a fate-destined Pokémon of mine. The first time I played Ruby, before I even knew about the Ralts line, I saw that specific grass patch and I just got this feeling from it. I halted my game progress and walked around in it until I found something new and there she was. I've never done a playthrough without Gardevoir (as far as I can help it) since
Gardevoir was one of the Pokemon that stuck with me in terms of design, Pokedex entries and abilities in battle, ever since I first played Ruby. I never played much Pokemon after Ruby, but got back in with Black/White…Just in time before the XY announcement and that Gardevoir was coming back as a Fairy, which got me super hyped. After that, Gardevoir has been my partner through many generations. Sorry for the ramble. I just really love Gardevoir.
I always went to that exact grass tile to try to catch a ralts.
Just thinking about Gardevoir, was using it in my XD playthrough recently
Gardevoir is probably my favourite Pokemon (alongside Magmar) and the rep it has is rather depressing. Glad the official stuff is never raunchy or anything like that. It's elegance yet knightly honour and loyalty really makes having one feel like you got a new friend. I just find the species neat and it's my main in Pokken. In summary, Gardevoir is awesome and doesn't deserve to be treated as the "fanservice" Pokemon.
Wait...I haven't even talked about the X factor as to why I love it so much. Well, I'll just say that I wasn't born the same gender as I am now. Gardevoir stuck out to me and I didn't know why for a long time. I thought I had to just ignore it because it's a "girly" Pokemon. But after certain relevations and accepting that anyone can enjoy it, I've grown on Gardevoir. Just having one in my team or owning a plushie of alongside my other Pokemons made me feel more valid in a way. I like that, I really do. Heck, I got an idea for a story a year ago where a trans woman meets and grows up with a Gardevoir as friends. Maybe one day I'll make that idea into a full-on story, who knows. Wonderful video btw.
Gardevoir is one of my favorite pokemon. I really like the lore and design. And it's also pretty powerful, I've just finished Pokemon sword (my first big Pokemon game ever) and I just sweeped through with it. I transfered it from go if you're interested. I wish I could buy cards or smth else with it tbh but there's no Pokemon merch where I live :(
i feel like Gardevoir could've been Jeanne de Arc style pokemon, its mega could've had a sword like object, but since they made Gallade they kinda made it the princess while gallade is meant to be it knight, but hey atleast we got iron Valiant
