I think the biggest blindspot for megas is the fact that only one gen 5 pokemon has a mega. Obviously at the time of gen 6, unova was still very fresh in memory and had a mixed reception from some people for its dex, but I think we're long overdue for some gen 5 love for megas
There's only one gen 6 mega and that's a mythical. When they're giving new megas, they have to focus on gen 5 and especially gen 6 because that's literally the region the game is set in. The starters, aegislash, or florges would all be great, and for unova i'd really want something for zebstrika or krookodile
@stathisconstantinou I'd rather focus on the confirmed games than the hypothetical ones, there is literally no talk of getting any gen 5 remakes soon, and if BDSP were anything to go off of, I don't know who's really waiting on a traditional remake anymore with legends being the new big thing.
I got a feeling we at least getting Mega Golurk since its basically Az's ace Pokemon and we likely gonna see and potentially fight him so he''ll likely have a mega.
Your Mega picks are good, especially Xerneas and Yveltal (considering I think they should’ve gotten Megas in the first place) I’d like to say that Gen V needs some Mega Evos too, considering all we have is Mega Audino. Some of my potential picks would be: Xerneas and Yveltal, Chesnaught Delphox and Greninja, Dragonite, Flygon and Milotic, but there are so many I would like to see that I can’t name off the top of my head.
I personally don't want anymore Gen 1 and gen 3 Pokemon Mega's, considering we currently have 13 from Kanto and 20 from Hoenn (+2 Primals, making it 22). Froslass and Slowking should 100% get Mega's, since it makes no sense Glalie and Slowbro are able to Mega Evolve, while their evolutionary relatives can't. Carbink is in a similair boat as well.
Along with Pokemon like Carbink the ability to Mega Evolve, some Gen 5 should also be able to do that. Garbodor (one of my favorites), Ferrothorn, Chandelure, and Vanilluxe. In all honesty, I put Vanilluxe just because I want to see it Mega Evolve into an ice cream sundae or something like that.
It is posible we get a feature similar to the Space-Time Distortions from Legends: Arceus in Legends: Z-A, which could allow us to get Pokemon from the future, such as Mewtwo as well as the Fossils or other Pokemon not native to the region.
True, but i do think we are getting a future setting for Legends ZA, since a past setting is kinda problematic. They already confirmed we are only going to be in Lumiose City and not the entire Kalos region We are re-building Lumiose City, so humans and Pokemon can live in harmony together. This makes a past setting problematic, as we already know how Lumiose City looks like in the present. They already delved into a future Kalos in the Alola games, with the Zygarde Cubes and all. Getting new Mega's is problematic in a past setting, since in-lore they cannot explain why they weren't in XY, which means for a past setting, we can only get Mega's for mons that weren't in the Kalos dex in XY. While in future setting, they can explain it by saying they were recent discoveries in Lumiose City and they got discovered alongside the Zygarde Cubes and Cells.
@@nickdentoom1173 We don't know if it will be set in the past or future, but the past seems more likely. Not only is it more interesting as future settings are always bleack and boring, but it's pretty clear the story is that we re-develop Lumiose into the big city it is today, where people and Pokemon live in harmony.
@@Lupinemancer87 And that right there is instantly the problem: We cannot re-develop it into the big it is today, since we already know how it looks like and it doesn't look like a place where people and Pokemon live in harmony. Thats kinda the problem with the past setting, its retconning XY in that case.
A cool idea i made more concrete thanks to this video is regional Tapu's. They didn’t appear in SV like how the weather trio didn't appear in swsh, so i think they'll play a part in ZA. I think it'd be cool to make them all dual Rock-types based on gargoyles, and instead of a new member, they should all share a Mega that looks like their Z-move form
I actually really want out of any Pokémon for Gourgeist to gain a mega evolution. I want it to mega evolve to resemble the pumpkin carriage of Cinderella.
It’s going to be Litten as the fire starter because of Le Chat Noir, a 19th century entertainment establishment. Probably leading to a more feminine evolution for the Incineroar. Either staying fire/dark or going Fire/Psychic or Fire/Fairy.
I don't know how they'd work it into the lore but my boy Shuckle deserves something. He's been dusty for 25 years. Give me a regional variant, a mega evolution, anything at this point.
If there is one pokemon that needs new evolution (because weak pokemon and not being relavent/known well), is part of the kalosdex and would have a strong connection to the france/paris, my guess for that pokemon is.... Luvdisc. Since it is extremely weak pokemon, it really needs something for it to shine. Not only that but back in gen 6 when fairy was introduced, I was so surprised that the heart shaped fish pokemon that is connected to love didn't get fairy type. So this would be good change to make it evolve to water/fairy. And since legends za is based on lumious city aka the paris, the city of love, it would be perfect opportunity to give something to luvdisc. I don't think mega would work for it since it would feel weird to give it that but it's just my opinion.
Decent reasoning behind your choices, i do think i would be shocked if they didnt make mega aegislash though. Also i think klinklang could be the mon that fills the role your talking about for magnezone, since its not in scarvi.
Man i was just watching your last video about speculations on this game and i was wondering is that one out yet your channel seems fun and i am hopefull this video will be as good as the last one
Really well-done video! I feel like you’re probably pretty on the money with most of your guesses here; I’m definitely going to revisit this once the game comes out because it’ll be interesting to compare this to what we actually get. Also the cut at 18:53 got me lol
I don't know, it feels too easy to just say "well snivy, litten, and piplup all have french connections already, so lets use them!" I feel we can do something more interesting then that. How about instead, we do a connection for each of the starters through the arts, and have them be chicorita, popplio, and scorbunny. With each of them representing the blossoming culture of the french. Maganium could become a grape vine, representing the food culture, and the importance of wine to the french culture. Primarina could be a circus seal, showing off the entertainment aspect of the french culture. And scorbunny could be a cyclist, representing the sports growth.
Something I believe in that I heard another UA-camr theorize is that we may get starters from different regions at the start of the game like in PLA, but a little later, we'll get the Kalos starters with their Mega stones the same way we got the Kanto starters with their Mega stones in X & Y
I think the elemental monkey are good candidates for mega evolution, hell even starters. I think they could finally add their 3rd stage that mega evolves.
Love this video, over the years I’ve come to appreciate Pokémon in different ways, analyzing how connected Pokémon are to their respective regions, overall themes of each games story etc., and I feel Pokémon itself has grown with us, I mean just take a look at every game, and see how they all try new things. Scarlet and Violet were my favorite games in the franchise, going in almost 100% blind, I left the base game EXTREMELY satisfied, how dark the implications of the story were, how upfront it was with its themes, the characters feeling much more fleshed out, the overall Pokémon designs, and of course the music, just left me feeling refreshed, something I haven’t felt for Pokémon in too long. And of course, the DLC was amazing, telling the story of Momotaro and Urishamataro in such brilliant ways made me so excited. I was literally screaming when Kieran threw that masterball, masterfully done scene. And now we are here, on the cusp of returning to Kalos, and my mind hasn’t stopped racing. Thinking about they can revisit one of the most “Done Dirty” regions makes me so exhilarated. This video just makes me more and more excited, seeing what other people come up with is always so fun, and applying what Pokémon has been doing to what they could do with this game, makes for such interesting conversation. Going over Frances historical accomplishments and general significance is so much fun. Sorry for the ramble lol, just so excited about Pokémon’s future, and this vid just made me even more excited!
I think the fire type starter will likely be the torchic line since France is often characterized as a rooster in the same way that the US is often characterized as an eagle or England a lion. I do get the hesitation to include for already having a mega tho. Really solid prediction video overall, great work!
16:20 I disagree on excluding the form Pokémon - remember Flapple and Appletun hold the same Gigantamax form and they are two different Pokémon - not just forms. Same with Latios and Latias, having visually almost the same design. They could make an universal Mega that focuses on the Base form Furfrou and it's untamable fur growth and have a visual effect for Vivillon (like giving it a rainbow/holo effect akin to Alolan Muk, that replaces the usual colours, but is exciting enough for people to not care). If anything Pokémon like Gourgeist or Meowstic are an easy way of having multiple different working Pokémon at the cost of one Mega design. 17:00 Paired Pokémon also can just not get both Megas. We have Pokemon like Froslass and Slowing, which didnt get their own forms (yet).
@@nickdentoom1173 I do also hope regional variants start getting megas. Even if not possible in the actual games, they could spread some coins to give those to us in Pokémon GO (and future entries, assuming Megas stay with us for some time again).
Would just like to say that in addition to just loving listening to mega speculation, this video was very well researched, scripted, and edited. Gained a sub from me
One other thing is that they robbed gen 5 of getting any megas, besides audino. This, together with the fact that gen 5 got more attention in gen 8 and 9 (Stunfisk, Yamask, Bisharp and even Garbodor), makes me really hope we get some gen 5 megas!
I think that due to the Legends serie still being new, we're taking for granted a lot of feature that lay disappear from one game to another As much as i'd love a functionally similar game to LPA but in Kalos, it would be weird to abandon the open world work done in SV(as chaotic and empty as it was) tho your video about how it would be constructed gave a satisfying answer Same with the starters, we will have unique starter trio with Regional form, new megas for the kalos ones, and two other sets of starters with megas ? Sound like a lot Maybe they'll just keep the Kalos starters and give them megas, heck maybe even three to go along the X Y Z megas What im saying is that this serie is still new, it purpose is to explore new ways to play a Pokemon games, so thinking of it as a copy paste of LPA (not what you did but im speaking about where the speculations are going in the community) is wrong Either way we may have a present in August as per usual to have more information about the games, so we should be settled soon about a lot of stuff
The rooster is the national animal of France so my vote is on Blaziken. Also in the trailer for the indigo disk we see snivy, piplup, and torchic standing next to the 3 legends Arceus starters
Was there an explanation cut out for the three Pokemon between Magnezone and Sunflora? Was a bit confused they were in there, because you went so in-depth for the others
I really really really hope that Delphox and chesnaught get SOMETHING. It really bothers me how unequally they were treated compared to graninja, it's super frustrating, since I really love delphox, and I know people love chesnaught.
I think the best point you make, may be that they want to make the number of new pokemon/forms introduced be 151. They're pretty much unable to not reference Red and Blue at all times.
I would normally agree with Pokemon with multiple forms (reigonal forms, seperate evolutions etc.) won't and shouldn't get a Mega, but seeing how Gamefreak made Dipplin evolve into Hydrapple, making it the only 3 stage evolution line of Applin and basically making Appletun and Flapple useless I don't think we can safely rule them out anymore, for better and (probably) for worse.
@@THGMR-ox7sd I mean what use is having forms that's not only obsolete since Gen 8 is over, but also are exactly the same as one another. Honestly, Flapple should've had a much different G-Max design than having exact same model copied from G-Max Appletun but SwSh has much worse issues than that so it's not too shocking.
@@elegant_lilligant I have a feeling Dipplin was planned for Sword and Shield as well, but was excluded (Look at how much G-Max Flappletun resembles Dipplin).
"basically making Appletun and Flapple useless" eh...each Applin evolution works for different purposes...Hydrapple is heavily sp.atk based and very bulky, working better for single battles, Appletun and Flapple work better in doubles, with Appletun being more defensive and balanced and Flapple being a physical attacker...and Dipplin with eviolite becomes a wall
I really wish Spiritomb got a Mega. It’s been competitively bad since the introduction of Fairy Types. Make it break free from its keystone and put most of the mega base stats into its speed stat. I remember that Jynx was also one of the few megas that were cancelled back in X & Y. Think she should get one considering both Magmar & electabuzz have evolutions and pre evolutions where as Smoochum & Jynx don’t.
14:40, I liked the gen 4 starters lack of role. It made them feel like regular pokemon and I enjoyed that over the pedestal spot that starters are given.
Legends Z-A's starters are Torchic, Piplup, and Snivy. They were prominently featured next to Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet respectively, the Legends Arceus starters, at the start of the first Indigo Disk trailer from August 2023.
The starters aren’t confirmed though. Also blaziken already has a mega so things could get awkward there with how it will work with the other 2 starters.
@@THGMR-ox7sd Yeah, i feel like Blaziken won't be a starter The trio that fits the most, connected to French lore are Piplup and Snivy, alongside Scorbunny (Football and all).
pancham regional please 😭🙏 good video btw :D “…and with the introduction of Mega Incineroar, we give it the fitting ability, Beast boost, for it’s ancient, beast-like evolution! Players can send in their favorite Incineroars, apply intimidate, then activate its mega for a high boost in power!”
When you mentioned the two Charizard megas it made me think that it would be interesting for other Pokemon aside from Charizard and Mewtwo to have X/Y mega variations…Maybe since there won’t be separate game versions they could play it off like they did in Legends Arceus with two clans, where you can get both variants’ stones by assisting them!! Could be a way to get the Xerneas/Yveltal potential mega stones too!! I love these kinds of speculative videos! They make me so excited for the game!!
I think the starter options are very likely the ones in the indigo disk trailer where three seemingly random starters are paired with the legends arceus starters. Torchic was the fire type there
@@someonerandom8511 Logic. If you give Blaziken another form, you also have to give that form a Mega, else the form is still getting overshadowed by regular Blaziken, which means the form is pointless.
@@nickdentoom1173 you really don't have to. Only one of the three meowth forms has a gigantamax, for example. Plus, it's a new regional form vs a 10 year old mega
The pattern in Legends: Arceus is that the new forms and evolutions were mainly for Gen 2 and Gen 5 Pokemon, so the generation remade in Gen 4 and the generation after. So logically, Legends Z-A will probably mostly focus on giving new forms and evolutions to gen 3 and gen 7 species. Hoping for Castform and male Salandit evolutions.
I hope not for the soul reason that that sounds WAY too close to it becoming a fire/fighting starter, like unless they made it steel I don't see us getting any other type for it.
16:45 i think Pokémon with significantly different forms could have a single mega. Appletun and Flapple are wildly different designs but they have a unifying Gigantamax design, to a lesser extent this goes for mega Latias and Latios, and Gmax Alcremie. Very in depth video /gen
Honestly I always thought Sunflora should've gotten just an ordinary evolution at some point and THAT Pokémon should have been the first Grass/Fire Pokémon...I mean the word "Sun" is right in its name....
The crimes I would commit for Mega Pangoro and Mega Delphox,,, Gen 6 has some of my favorite underated designs and I really do hope ur right in Game Freak giving them the boosts they need. Seriously tho I hadnt conceived of Mega Pangoro before but now you've given it to me idk what else to think about now. I want a kickass panda mafia boss on my desk by monday
Yeah on certain pokemon that was extremely dumb. Unleast it something like a singature move or Scizor bullet punch that players natural use alot I don't any dex research tasks to have more than a 20x requirement, 25x at max. Expect magikarp splash, the 100x times seen requirement was great there
I REALLY hope you get to play as two characters, one from the past and one from the future. Maybe as well there are choices, maybe as the character in the past, there is a choice that could destroy the future. I mean like stealing an artifact or something, then if you do, it cuts to the future where everything suddenly gets destroyed. Just some ideas.
I wouldn't count goodra out considering meowth got a regional form 2 games in a row and a gigantamax form so gamefreak isn't fully against revisiting mons so soon
I honestly cannot wait until Z-A, i was born in 2006, so my first ever pokemon game was Y, and i'm really excited to see Kalos revisited. I hope that even just half of the pokemon listed get added, and I am so excited that megas are being brought back, they are my favourite battle mechanic
No fire starters with french connection, meanwhile crying torchic in the corner being a literal animal used as a national symbol of France, it's original design doesn't play into that but a regional variant could. yes if the starters get megas torchic would have 2 mega forms, but there's 2 other pokemon that have 2 megas as well if I remember correctly it's just the two, arguably 3 if ralts' options are counted as having 2 megas, which also proves being a different final evolution doesn't mean it couldn't happen
plus blaziken ALREADY received special treatment as his mega was actually introduced in x and y unlike sceptile and swampert who had to wait until oras
Great video, one thing to point out though, you mentioned that Mega Evolutions are less likely for Pokémon in pairs so I would think that applies to Trevenant as well
Based on the idea of Arceus, but based in Lumiose City. I think we’ll see mostly the Central Kalos Dex. (Since Lumiose City is located centrally in the Central Dex.)
7:18 actually, Penguins ARE native to france. The term Penguin was the original name of the extinct creature we now refer to by another of its names, the Great Auk. Sailors who encountered the birds we now call penguins called them penguin (the name for the Great Auk at the time) because of the confusion caused by how similar they were in appearance to the Great Auk. The Great Auk's habitat spun across the north atlantic, including France and Spain! (note: penguins and great auks are not actually related, just morphologically similar)
Yveltal and Xerneas not having megas is weird because team flare used them to power the laser that previously created megas. At least makes more sense to me than Mewtwo randomly getting TWO
Hawlucha, Noivern and Talonflame as Megas would be cool since they are Ash Pokémon. I would say Mienshao tbh. Lysandre has one and it's fitting for Dragon fist. Luxray due to Clemont. Part Fairy with Pixilate... basically a sphinx. Heliolisk, Barbaracle, Trevenant & Malamar would be amazing, all from different Kalosian biomes, acting as Nobles. Since Linoone got a variant and an evo I feel like Mightyena can get a Mega. There's a Ghost Tera Milotic in Kitakami. Magcargo should get a Fire/Psychic lava lamp Mega or a Fire/Steel natural evolution with the Ability Earth Eater IMO. Froslass deserves a Mega since Glalie got one in ORAS. Maybe Slowking too (or Cloyster). Rock gargoyle Druddigon.
I'm very excited for Legends ZA, i think your picks for all these different things are all good and i would love to see those picks. Other then Flygon and more Kalos pokemon i would personally like to see Pikachu and Eevee get their own megas, i would love for Volcanion to get something like an alternate form since the other gen 6 mythicals got something. Also do you think we get something new for an old Legendary group like the forces of nature? Me personally i would like a new member to the Swords of Justice or an evolution for Keldeo since they are based on the Three Musketeers.
I could probably take down 15-20 sunflora before they overrun me

I think the biggest blindspot for megas is the fact that only one gen 5 pokemon has a mega. Obviously at the time of gen 6, unova was still very fresh in memory and had a mixed reception from some people for its dex, but I think we're long overdue for some gen 5 love for megas
There's only one gen 6 mega and that's a mythical. When they're giving new megas, they have to focus on gen 5 and especially gen 6 because that's literally the region the game is set in. The starters, aegislash, or florges would all be great, and for unova i'd really want something for zebstrika or krookodile
I think for unova id most want megas for reuniclus, beeheyem, and chandelure
Idk having megas for a gen(gen 5) that will soon get remakes with likely no megas would likely bring a lot of unnecessary drama
Your Mega picks are good, especially Xerneas and Yveltal (considering I think they should’ve gotten Megas in the first place)
I’d like to say that Gen V needs some Mega Evos too, considering all we have is Mega Audino.
Some of my potential picks would be:
Xerneas and Yveltal, Chesnaught Delphox and Greninja, Dragonite, Flygon and Milotic, but there are so many I would like to see that I can’t name off the top of my head.
Mega Dragonite is pretty much already confirmed to not be happening.
@@xaviersmith1388 Flygon potentially as well, as they already think its design is perfect.
@@nickdentoom1173 flygon is the exact opposite of dragonnite. Mega flygon will be the first on revealed in the next trailer.
Ice cream sundae Mega Vanilluxe would unironically be awesome!
I agree. Mega Krookodile or Mega Scolipede would be sick
they should make a pokemon that eats raisins
Great idea
It should be called the evil pokemon🤣
Mega Snorlax who decided that it was time to start eating healthy
Or alternatively, a pokemon that just is a raisin, and like wishiwashi, has a form that is a box of raisins.
@@EoghanDonnelly-m3x👏🏻🤣
Hoopa is a Kalos Pokemon, they could use it as an explanation why certain lendaries are available.
Maybe even have a special event surrounding it.
OMG YES! maybe a Halloween event, since Hoopa gives off spooky vibes. I wish Hoopa got a mega eveloution, that would be so cool
Yeah, could let us get Mewtwo, Kygore, Groudon and the Paradoxes Mega pokemon if they show up since, you know they based on megas and would fit
They already confirmed we are only going to be in Lumiose City and not the entire Kalos region
We are re-building Lumiose City, so humans and Pokemon can live in harmony together.
My main hope is Mega Hydreigon. It's my favorite Pokémon, and I think it could use a power buff.
Fire idea
I’m hoping it gets a mega, I’m literally shiny hunting it in Shield.
It’s going to be Litten as the fire starter because of Le Chat Noir, a 19th century entertainment establishment. Probably leading to a more feminine evolution for the Incineroar. Either staying fire/dark or going Fire/Psychic or Fire/Fairy.
I genuinely enjoyed this video like your previous one well done
I don't know how they'd work it into the lore but my boy Shuckle deserves something. He's been dusty for 25 years. Give me a regional variant, a mega evolution, anything at this point.
Yo this was a banger video. Really excited for new mega evolutions.
Schooling ability for Luvdisc would slay tbh
I like the idea, but I'm personally not going to hold my breath, as it's a gimmick pokemon.
15:22 that’s Nemona’s house :) love the vid!
Really well-done video! I feel like you’re probably pretty on the money with most of your guesses here; I’m definitely going to revisit this once the game comes out because it’ll be interesting to compare this to what we actually get. Also the cut at 18:53 got me lol
Never seen someone go through this statistically rather than just throwing their own concepts around. Great video!
As always great speculations. Legendary!
Mega Heliolisk being a electric fire special sweeper would be so sick
Something I believe in that I heard another UA-camr theorize is that we may get starters from different regions at the start of the game like in PLA, but a little later, we'll get the Kalos starters with their Mega stones the same way we got the Kanto starters with their Mega stones in X & Y
I would personally love to see a Mega Bellossum or Mega Tyrantrum tbh
cool video :) i’ve thought for the longest time lanturn should get some kinda new form, so hopefully this is the time ‼️😊
I think the elemental monkey are good candidates for mega evolution, hell even starters. I think they could finally add their 3rd stage that mega evolves.
really well put video, i respect how you were genuinely looking for answers unlike most of these youtubers.
If anything I hope jynx gets an evolution over a mega. Will make magmar, elextibuzz and jynx feel like a true trio
I agree with you 100% lol, scarlet and violet are some of my favorite pokemon games ever because of literally everything you said!
mega incineroar isn't real, it can't hurt you. Crying Wolfe noises
Love this video. It was so informative and had so much insight and I can tell a lot of work went into it. Keep it up please 😊❤
7:39 Honestly if I was in charge of naming things, I would do exactly this, it’s just hilarious
I think the fire type starter will likely be the torchic line since France is often characterized as a rooster in the same way that the US is often characterized as an eagle or England a lion. I do get the hesitation to include for already having a mega tho. Really solid prediction video overall, great work!
I really hope we get more lore on Zinnia's ancestors. Maybe a Rayquaza post game or a new Lorekeeper
Another fellow Sunflora enjoyer? Based. You've earned a new subscriber, my friend.
Watchog has been so disrespected for so long. Poor guy hasn’t been on a single Switch game. He deserves a mega more than most.
fantastic editing and comedic timing on this one, you absolutely smashed it man u deserve wayyy more subs than u have
16:20 I disagree on excluding the form Pokémon - remember Flapple and Appletun hold the same Gigantamax form and they are two different Pokémon - not just forms.
Yeah, makes no sense Slowking and Froslass don't have them yet (Same applies for Carbink, considering Diancie is just a transformed Carbink).
@@nickdentoom1173 I do also hope regional variants start getting megas. Even if not possible in the actual games, they could spread some coins to give those to us in Pokémon GO (and future entries, assuming Megas stay with us for some time again).
@@mjm3091 I mean.. realistically Galarian Slowbro should get a Mega as well, since it would make no sense Kantonian gets one, but Galarian doesn't.
I think that due to the Legends serie still being new, we're taking for granted a lot of feature that lay disappear from one game to another
As much as i'd love a functionally similar game to LPA but in Kalos, it would be weird to abandon the open world work done in SV(as chaotic and empty as it was) tho your video about how it would be constructed gave a satisfying answer
Same with the starters, we will have unique starter trio with Regional form, new megas for the kalos ones, and two other sets of starters with megas ? Sound like a lot
Maybe they'll just keep the Kalos starters and give them megas, heck maybe even three to go along the X Y Z megas
What im saying is that this serie is still new, it purpose is to explore new ways to play a Pokemon games, so thinking of it as a copy paste of LPA (not what you did but im speaking about where the speculations are going in the community) is wrong
Either way we may have a present in August as per usual to have more information about the games, so we should be settled soon about a lot of stuff
The rooster is the national animal of France so my vote is on Blaziken. Also in the trailer for the indigo disk we see snivy, piplup, and torchic standing next to the 3 legends Arceus starters
Sunflora fan #5 here. I would also like new Sunflora content
they're never gonna make the yellow mythical star pokmeon :(((((( Great video btw!!!!!
Was there an explanation cut out for the three Pokemon between Magnezone and Sunflora? Was a bit confused they were in there, because you went so in-depth for the others
Was more so a bit of filler, just me assuming some gen 9 mons could get a mega, but I could switch them out for others like froslass
It’s a shame that flapple and appletun feel obsolete now but they at least have gigantamax forms.
"basically making Appletun and Flapple useless"
eh...each Applin evolution works for different purposes...Hydrapple is heavily sp.atk based and very bulky, working better for single battles, Appletun and Flapple work better in doubles, with Appletun being more defensive and balanced and Flapple being a physical attacker...and Dipplin with eviolite becomes a wall
Halfway through the vid and just wanna say - editing is fantastic !
Giving them new signature moves would have been nice atleast, but yeah them just being catchable in the wild was cool.
Oachi oh my 22:00 I didn’t know we be gettin pikmin in
I wanna see some gen 9 pokemon! I want it all! I hope there's some wacky, out-there designs that people love to hate. Cool video!
BAGUETTE NATION RISE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOIVERN REPRESENT MY UNDERLOVED BABY 🙏
Legends Z-A's starters are Torchic, Piplup, and Snivy. They were prominently featured next to Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet respectively, the Legends Arceus starters, at the start of the first Indigo Disk trailer from August 2023.
The starters aren’t confirmed though.
Also blaziken already has a mega so things could get awkward there with how it will work with the other 2 starters.
@@THGMR-ox7sd Yeah, i feel like Blaziken won't be a starter
The trio that fits the most, connected to French lore are Piplup and Snivy, alongside Scorbunny (Football and all).
pancham regional please 😭🙏
good video btw :D
“…and with the introduction of Mega Incineroar, we give it the fitting ability, Beast boost, for it’s ancient, beast-like evolution! Players can send in their favorite Incineroars, apply intimidate, then activate its mega for a high boost in power!”
Ledian Evolution based on a Kamen Rider or Superhero concept thats all 🙏🙏🙏
When you mentioned the two Charizard megas it made me think that it would be interesting for other Pokemon aside from Charizard and Mewtwo to have X/Y mega variations…Maybe since there won’t be separate game versions they could play it off like they did in Legends Arceus with two clans, where you can get both variants’ stones by assisting them!!
Torchic was the fire type there
Problem is Blaziken already has a Mega though, so it cannot get another form.
@@nickdentoom1173 says who?
@@someonerandom8511 Logic.
If you give Blaziken another form, you also have to give that form a Mega, else the form is still getting overshadowed by regular Blaziken, which means the form is pointless.
@@nickdentoom1173 you really don't have to. Only one of the three meowth forms has a gigantamax, for example. Plus, it's a new regional form vs a 10 year old mega
@@someonerandom8511 The difference is that Meowth isn't a starter Pokemon.
mega magnezone would actually and genuinely make me freak out, i'd scream at the reveal of that (he's my favorite)
Mega Luxray, mega, talonflame (or staraptor), mega Pyroar, or (I hope) zebstrika or gogoat.
The fire starter could be Incineroar based on Andre the Giant who was a famous french wrestler.
Your ideas are really fun nice vid!
Didn’t realize monkeys were native to france 🇫🇷 🙉
The crimes I would commit for Mega Pangoro and Mega Delphox,,, Gen 6 has some of my favorite underated designs and I really do hope ur right in Game Freak giving them the boosts they need.
Seriously tho I hadnt conceived of Mega Pangoro before but now you've given it to me idk what else to think about now. I want a kickass panda mafia boss on my desk by monday
I have a question: Will Mega Evolution replace alpha Pokémon from PLA or Will we get alpha mega pokemon? The second option would be cool.
I really hope that Tropius gets another evo or a regional varent like Whooper. He is one of my favorite pokemon, but criminally underpowered.
as long as we don't have any "use this move with 5 pp 40+ times" things in the dex it'll be fine
No fire starters with french connection, meanwhile crying torchic in the corner being a literal animal used as a national symbol of France,
it's original design doesn't play into that but a regional variant could.
yes if the starters get megas torchic would have 2 mega forms, but there's 2 other pokemon that have 2 megas as well if I remember correctly it's just the two, arguably 3 if ralts' options are counted as having 2 megas, which also proves being a different final evolution doesn't mean it couldn't happen
plus blaziken ALREADY received special treatment as his mega was actually introduced in x and y unlike sceptile and swampert who had to wait until oras
@julien827 Good point, I actually completely missed that
Great video, one thing to point out though, you mentioned that Mega Evolutions are less likely for Pokémon in pairs so I would think that applies to Trevenant as well
If they announce mega incineroar at worlds(by litten being announced as a starter) I’ll eat my copy of sun
Based on the idea of Arceus, but based in Lumiose City.
I think we’ll see mostly the Central Kalos Dex. (Since Lumiose City is located centrally in the Central Dex.)
yeah central kalos plus all kalos native Pokémon by default is quite likely
