Wow what a hunt, looks like the nox is working well underwater and paying for itself too, beautiful clear water and lots of great finds, really enjoyed the video and your enthusiasm lol. keep it up
Rick Robison it’s going great 👍 Thanks! If you have any criticisms I’d like you hear what you or anyone would like changed, I want every video to be better than the last 😊
Treasure_Adventure no criticism whatsoever, very good video with lots of interesting information included as well, sure wish I had the headphones so I could try mine out, your lucky to be able to dive in such beautiful water, envious lol.
Rick Robison the only thing the Minelab waterproof headphones seem to have going for them is that they’ll be warrantied but the headphones I’m using atm are made of parts anyone could find and honestly making your own if you had an equinox connector would be very easy. Just a matter of all of them being quiet Thanks and yes the water was awesome on these 2 days because of very small swell. 👍
Treasure_Adventure i’ve been on different forums researching diy headphones since you mentioned that they are not that difficult to make, what size piezo did you use? (never heard of a piezo before this lol) been a bit of an education for me 😁seems like people are modifying an M12 4 pin male plug to make the equinox plug, what did you use for a soundboard? any info you care to share with us would be appreciated. looking forward to your next video. just a suggestion but a video on how to build these would probably go viral
Rick Robison I didn’t actually make them BUT I’m almost certain they use the VISATON 2909 waterproof speaker which isn’t a piezo and the reason is probably that piezos won’t be loud enough for equinox, these are still not loud enough either for a hookah setup but if I stop breathing whilst SCUBA diving I can hear them 😅
Great video! I have viewed many user's videos and the types of metal detectors they're using. The Minelab Equinox 800 seems to be the best fit for me, so I purchased one yesterday! It may not be able to handle deeper depths like the Excalibur II does, and that's ok! I'm can't wait to start using my new Equinox 800 when it arrives! Keep up the great work & sharing your videos!
Dear. Thanks for the great video underwater . wow the equinox machine working good so what's your opinion about it and when you get a waterproof headphone tell us please . regards
Second time I've heard that. They will eventually have to do something about that, whether it comes in software, hardware or some kind of amp built into the headphones. Is this a problem with wired headphones in general with this machine or just the underwater set? I have only used wireless. The wireless headphones are plenty loud for me, but unfortunately that doesn't help us underwater.
Mr. Technical Mr. Technical I don’t know if they will do anything but it is quite disappointing considering it’s a beast in most other respects. I believe it’s because you need a lot of volume to hear underwater so they aren’t actually quiet above water. Also piezo type headphones (best water type) may require a different type of signal to operate loudly which the equinox doesn’t output but I’m not sure about that. I’m not an expert but most wired land sets should be just fine on the equinox
@@TreasureAdventure Hi, are the headphones out of stock? I cant find any listed on the detect-ed website.. thanks for the great videos. I also have a nice new nox 800 which i cant wait to get wet :)
Hi there. I have a nox 800 and am really interested in doing more under water hunting. Can you give me a basic list of what all equipment I will need to do this? I have nox and garret carrot already. Thanks
Awesome video mate. Would you recommend buying the waterproof headphones from minelab or eBay? And do you know If the sound quality is better on minelab then ebay? :)
Jonas Overgaard I can’t overly recommend either of them to be honest and I’ve only used the ones from Hungary on eBay, the ones from Ukraine are apparently terrible on the equinox. If you really want to hunt in the water you should be able to get the Hungarian ones and they’ll work pretty well but the minelab ones are in short supply last time I checked, all reports so far say they are quiet though.
Treasure_Adventure The metal detector shop here in Denmark, have it in stock. So that's not a problem. They are just a bit expensive and I want to make sure I will be sattesfied with the headphones before I buy it.
CARPHUNTER26 only used Hungarian ones and he no longer sells them, the ones from Ukraine have apparently been updated and very few people have the Minelab ones. I’m working on making some that are decent, I can let you know if/ when I have a pair you can buy?
Joe Hernan I go all day without a problem, it’s not like a crappy watch or something that’s “waterproof” So far I’ve got 50+ hours underwater with it and it’s fine 👍
@@joehernan3544 So I am curious... It would seem to me that for detecting while diving, the Excalibur II would be a better choice. The Equinox 800 is only good to like 3 meters, while the Excalibur is rated up to 66 meters with multi-frequency technology . While the 800 has a DVI display and the Excalibur II does not, it doesn't (from my limited perspective) seem to be nearly as robust a machine for underwater detecting. I am learning... So I am curious why you would say that? If you already have an Excalibur II which is darn near double the price of the Equinox, I would think an Excalibur II would be kick ass for this type of detecting. Can you please help me understand your perspective, as I have no experience with underwater detecting and hope to in the future!
@@edtheradiohead Hello, when I asked how long you use the equinox 800, I was thinking about buying one, since my excalibur II was damaged, I already bought the Equinox 800 and where I go snorkeling is not deep, I am learning to use the Equinox 800, but the Excalibur II is better. I do the same as what you do in this video..here I lives and prospecting:www.mexicodestinos.com/lugares/playa-gatas

About how long is your metal detector at that setup? I've been considering snorkeling with my AT Pro since it's supposed to be waterproof in shallow water at least... Plus my back wont let me stand for long periods of time. So I might as well float!
Beach 2 with Sensitivity at 12-14 (salt water) Recovery speed 3-4 The loudspeaker isn’t designed to work underwater so probably won’t be audible especially the deeper you go but I haven’t tried it
Well done on such a great hunt and video. Taking my NOX for a second salty immersion in the Maldives soon.
Fantastic gold monster ring & platinum diamond 💍 ring congrats every hunters bucket lister enjoyed the underwater gold dance 2 😂 👏 💙🇬🇷🏖
Fantastic video, it's another world down there, very cool, awesome finds
Wow, that was some seriously productive hunting! I would have enjoyed a wrap up with some explanation of your finds.
Thank you, it was crazy fun, I’ll do that in the future thanks for the feedback mate 👍

Holy gold and silver Batman you smashed it. Well done mate👍👍
Great finds, amazing water, funny encounters. I really enjoyed your video 👍🏻 keep it up!
thank you very much!
Great finds. Love the underwater videos. I hunt in the water but standing I'll need to try a mask and snorkel some day.

I’m using a water proof headphone from Ebay. My opinion is that it’s very good in salt water but doesn’t make enough sound in the headphones 🎧

Great video and awesome haul on the gold. Are you using scuba gear or a dry snorkel?
JP The Baron I mention in the description I’m using SCUBA and snorkeling in this video, when I run out of air in the tanks I go to snorkeling 👌
Cool video how deep of water are you driving in. I just got the equinox 800 and been hesitant about putting in water
All the way to 3m, I trust it to be ok now I’ve got a few hours on it 👍

hey!! gold is gold =)
Was that the gold song you was singing lol
Gary Green improvised but yes it was a gold song 😂
What settings you using on the nox for underwater? Can you just use the speaker underwater? Havnt tried my nox fully under water yet

Recovery speed 3-4

Hello! What is your maximum immersion depth with this device? Can I hear the internal speaker under water without headphones? Thank you!
My maximum is 3m and the speaker will be very quite underwater from others reports
Hello! What is your maximum immersion depth with this device?
Лис 3 meters
I like👍🏽🙋🏽♂️
How long can you stay down and hunt until your air is out ?
Gary Green the further underwater you go the more air you consume, at 3m I get about 1.5 hours but depends how fast I breather and what size tank etc
Could you tell me what depth they are good too.
Stephen Bray rated to 3m, beyond that you risk killing the detector
Treasure_Adventure Thank you for the reply.
