This is an awesome video mate. I've been snorkelling with my 600 and now I'm hooked. I'd love to see a video of how you setup to dive. Like how you store your finds and other tips etc.
Awesome video of your scuba hunt. Your the first person I’ve seen using the equinox 800 and scuba diving . Looks like it copes well underwater. I still prefer my Excalibur. Good luck on your next hunt. Just subscribed to see more of your videos please keep them flowing.
Scuba Guy yep the Equinox is ok but not a dedicated water machine hats for sure, Excalibur would certainly be trustier and louder too. thanks and GL/HH
Cheers Philbo! Don’t we all haha, yeah the visibility slows recovery a lot, the compact sand and shells makes digging slow too, when I revisit (hopefully this year) I’ll have a dedicated pinpointer to help out and see how fast I can pull those targets 👍👌
We binge watch your videos and they are amazing!! Thank you for making them! What sort of place is this? I mean is it under a bridge or under parked boats? What’s your advice of the sort of places to try out?
I really like your videos are interesting I hope to be able to do them in the future also under the water, but I do not have the tanks and I should do a diving course ... I own a garrett sea hunter mk2 and I would like to learn to look under the water. I'm a bit 'undecided about the purchase of the equinox 600 or the multi kruzer makro .... what do you recommend me? so many advised me 600 but it costs 100 more .... is it worth it or not?
Hey Ed, sick video. Got a question, i am still saving for some waterproof headphones for my nox, and I want to head out when I head home next week to Phillip Island to do some underwater detecting, however I am wondering if you will still get a sound through the speaker without headphones underwater? I am yet to find anyone who can answer this for me! Keep up the good work :) - Toyah
Hey Toyah, the Equinox speaks does operate underwater but it is very quiet, Minelab waterproof headphones are quiet too but definitely better. If you do end up getting them then I highly recommend running in 2 tones and setting the tone 2 to 20 as it comes through the loudest on those headphones. Good luck, Philip island is a good spot but be aware of those massive currents and tides you get! 👍
Treasure_Adventure thanks Ed for the tips! Nahhh I grew up there so I’m used to being underwater and realising you are nowhere near where you should be, I’m more worried about the great whites lol thanks again and cheers!
@@TreasureAdventure I get that. Do you ever hunt in zero visibility, the water where I hunt is at or near zero visibility 95 percent of the year, unfortunately there are alot of fish hooks here too. Any hints or advice?
OUTATIME I’ve tried complete zero visibility and I guess the best advice is use a small coil and or low sensitivity! You can grab piles of sludge and run it over the coil and using a pinpointer is definitely helpful but I try to avoid those situations haha

Treasure_Adventure thanks bud I’ll stick with my excal then but consider to buy the 800 as a backup dry - wet sand unit
stunning amount of finds in that area and nice ones too! Congrats
Good to see you hunting again ed my friend 👍 GL&HH steve

TreasureMtnDetectors thanks Ed! 👍
This is Ed from Detect-Ed BTW
@@TreasureAdventure Awesome Ed... Keep the videos coming!
I can't wait to get re-certified and do this. Haven't dived in 22 years.
Awesome hunt you did really good
That was a VERY nice dive/hunt. GL&HH
Nice hunt Ed that is a target rich site you have found there . I need another one of those. Its a pity that fanning causes low visibility.
Cheers Philbo!

How deep were you here Ed?
did you have any leaks with equinox on this depth?
Damjan RI yes the Equinox can leak underwater
Your supposed to wave hand side to side not up and down that is why your sand and sediment goes right back down instead off to sides leaving clear
👍🔥 what’s the settings?
Settings:
Beach 2
Sensitivity: 16-17
Recovery 4-5
Iron bias 0-1
(THIS IS UNDER SALT WATER SETTINGS)
Treasure_Adventure thank you very much!
Come sign up
You should probably wear gloves 😀
OUTATIME I get that a lot, honestly I haven’t been hurt by anything and I need the dexterity to grab stuff and in normal sand I feel for the target
