Seriously! I'm itching to get one of this for my river snorkeling trips!
I just bought my Legend and had no intention of using it underwater. When I read something is "waterproof" I always think "yeah right, I'll ruin it" if I dunk it. I see this video and think WOW it REALLY IS waterproof! Incredible. I'm just getting started but I'll blow a gasket if I ever find ONE ring, much less 9! What a day you had! :)

The Legend is a natural upgrade from the Simplex, you'll get some fantastic salt water performance from a Multi-Frequency like The Legend 👌

I just shoved the lower shaft into the top shaft and shoved some foil in the gap. Dive shaft complete! 😂

Thinking about purchasing a Legend for detecting in salt water, are they quiet in the salt? I use a Minelab Excalibur2 now and like the way the Legend shortens for packing and diving.

This is almost unbelievable that you could find so many rings in one place at the same time...
I tend to only edit and upload the great days but there are many days where I won't find much more than a few sinkers!

Fantastic compilations of finds! I enjoyed this video tremendously. I have the same machine and live down here in south Florida. Normally I just walk the beaches and do some wading up to my knees at low tide. But I am a master diver, so I'm waiting for the summer time to head down to the calm waters at low tide... that's where the treasure usually is. I'm not sure if I'll "scuba" or "snorkel", but this gives me some great ideas. I loved how you said what your target id and tones were (ie: 45, etc), but I have a few questions... 1, How deep were you in this video? 2: What were your legend settings? (I assume beach wet mode, what were your other settings? Rec? IF, ST, AG, tone settings, and sensitivity?
I wish I have this kind of machine on my metal detecting adventure

Wonderful! Question for you since you know underwater hunting. I have the simplex plus (I imagine it is the same as yours in this respect) and wondering if
I could hunt underwater without headphones and use the vibe And the audio? In other words will the audio sound underwater without headphones and can it be heard? It's winter here and can't go underwater for another 4 months...but if I need to get the headphones would like to get them now. Thanks for your opinion! Keep up the good work!

i already have 2xnox 800' but these tend to get damaged under water so after watching your video and doing a bit of research i decided to buy a legend for when i go diving and was hoping you would do a video showing your settings

I've had multiple Nox's flood on me so I couldn't keep doing that! The Nokta Legend and Simplex+ build quality is far better in my experience 😁

Whats the water proof rating? I’ve seen contradictory info ranging from 3 meters to 5 meters

I have a legend gonna go out to a few beaches with shallow water and no waves we have a lot of those here in Puerto Rico, not ready to dive yet but i can try on those clear water beaches with water up to my waist.

I've took my legend underwater snorkeling today like half a meter max in salt water. I found it to be super super frustrating as it picks up mostly false signals so I had to bring the sensitivity down to 13. Combine that with medium current and you're left with a very bad experience.

Question - how did you connected the headphones to the LEGEND? The connector is different.
I'm just using Headphones with a Nokta style connector. These ones are the LS Pelso's but Nokta make some too

Amazing video, Hi I've just subscribed to your channel. Tell me, how do you keep the Legend near you when you use both hand on your object which in this case was the rock with the coin ? I'm hoping to order the Legent soon. Wow , you found gold , but I have read that it's quite useless at finding gold , what do you say about that ? I'd be very interested.
Question number 3 , how old is your machine? Because I read that the older models gave a lot of trouble in the beginning, I'm worried as I'm buying online and can't see if the machine is a older model or not. I can't buy in a shop here as they don't carry them and I can't order from overseas because of customs and paying hefty import duty. Thanks in advance.

The Legend is tethered to me via the headphone cable as I'm wearing waterproof headphones with the Legend.
There are many interesting opinions about metal detectors on the internet and generally false information floating around! The Legend is very capable of finding gold jewellery in any of its modes, no question about it. The Legend also has a goldfield mode made for gold prospecting which is extremely sensitivity to small gold nuggets but if they are comparing to $10k gold machines then its not at the same level of course.
All Legends are the same if they have been updated to the latest version 👍

What is the maximum deep can the legend reach under water ?
Are you using the vibration function or waterproof head phones?
Quick question, I was inspired by your video to make my Legend underwater. Is it normal to get false targets of the coil isn’t touching the sand? Also to get false targets on the shore where the waves break?

Hi Logan, if you are fully updated and using Beach mode multi W then there shouldn’t be much if any falsing.
If it happens when not swinging the coil then it is electrical interference 👍

@@loganbrannen6017 ok take it out of all metal. Salt comes through in the 1-10 range at high sensitivities. That will make it a lot more stable 👍

Any leaks yet with the legend. I will be using the detector primarily in the sea snorkeling like you and on wet sand
Actually I operate the Nokta service centre here in Australia and we have not had a single Legend leak in the country!
The waterproofing of the Legend and Simplex range is far better than other detectors I have used 👍

Maybe a stupid question but what Gear are you using for going under water? Scuba? How do u breathe? It looks super fun but buying diving Gear is a bit too much for me

The day in this video I was just snorkelling and holding my breath which is why I go up and down so much 😄

I just put the Legend in "Beach Wet" mode and go with most of the defaults honestly 😁

Honestly just make sure its in Beach Wet with the volume high enough 👍

Anyone taken the legend deeper than 10 ft?
Isn‘t it kinda risky to use this detector underwater while diving at depths of around 2+ metres when it‘s only waterproof up to 3m in freshwater (higher salt content will decrease max depth)!?
For many detectors with a rating of 3m I won't even take them into the water. The Nokta Legend and Simplex+ however are built to easily withstand the rated 3m.
I currently operate the Nokta Service centre in Australia and we have never had a single Simplex or Legend leak in the whole country 👍
