The kikongo from Angola is very different from the kikongo spoken in Congo Kinshasa. Your kikongo sounds more like lingala.!!! But I liked it.!!! Loves from Angola...

To be honest, most of african people from subSaharian region (Nigeria to South África) are some Congo ancestry.
My parents from Angola talk kikongo, they can recognize a lot of similar words with zhulu.
In 90's an angolan singer had success in Nigeria because some people there could understand what he sing in umbundu a mother tongue of some people from the center of Angola and we supposed that we'are so far from nigerian people such geograficaly, anthropologicaly or culturaly 😎
The colonization have imposed and still trying to separate african people because we're much close than we suppose to be according to the studies that they "identify" ourselves as a differents people and cultures...We're a really big african family, our mother tongues can prouve that 🤷🏾‍♀️
So from Sahara to Kalahari...much love and respect with our brothers and sister...stop hate our similar, we're african.
Say No to the War and Yes to the Peace that we desserve 🍀

We can't exactly tell as the different dialects evolved in their own ways but the kimanianga, kilari(lari) or kisundi are at equal distance to all the different dialects so it will be easier to understand everything. You can also begin with with kituba, the Kikongo creole, you'll be understood everywhere
