Sean, Thanks for this great instructional video. I just purchased this exact setup and I must say the instructions included with the stand and sticks where both extremely poorly done (diagrams and pictures were both illegible)and confusing so this helped greatly. Nice job.

Those look like great tree stands. I'm from Canada, so until I can find a dealer up here selling them. Just a lil to pricey right now. Great vid.

Thanks for watching. Yeah, keep an eye out for them. Real solid stand. The other set up video I did on this will go live on Tuesday evening. I hope you check that out too. God bless you.

Love these stands. Bought the lone wolf last year but if I like this system I will probably be purchasing one of the xop stands. I like them better from what I've seen on your vids. Wish I had waited but whatever. Not gonna hurt to have both. Lol.

Lol, I'm kind of in a similar boat. I bought a Lone Wolf hang on after the season last year. Didn't even put it together yet and probably won't now, lol. Aside from this, I actually have to hunt with Muddy stands for Drury Outdoors, lol.

Sean's Outdoor Adventures lol you are definitely not hurting for stands. Which is a good thing. Except for me ever time me and my wife walk by the wall in the basement where I keep all my lock on stands and etc in the off season when I've got em all hung up I get that look you know. Lol

Great job...any suggestions on how to carry a backpack and the climbing sticks at the same time. With a climber you have the versatility of strapping the bag to the stand ... is it just as easy with this stand or do you have to get creative.

I just tie a piece of cordage to the platform where the teeth are and then hook my pack to it with a carabiner. If you want the pack to stay even more still, then just throw a bungee cord over it and hook on the stand on either side and it will stay put. Thanks for watching. I will be posting the actual set up on a tree video this coming tuesday evening around 5. God bless you brother.

...sounds like the same sort of setup as the climber. Just thought the sticks would present a challenge. As always thank you for all the information you provide and always being there for your fans. Look forward for your next video.

Yes, same idea, but my rope is a bit longer to get it out past the climbing sticks for attachment to the backpack. Good luck out there this fall and God bless you!!!!!

I'm sold on the Vanish Xt but not sure if I should pick up the Xop or lone wolf sticks. The lone wolfs are roughly 3/4 of a pound lighter but the xop's have the locking together feature. You have some experience with both, right? Which one do you think is the better stick for the mobile hunter? Great video as always and can't wait to see this seasons videos!

Lone wolf sticks drove me nuts for years with them constantly coming apart while trying to carry them. They now have a quiver, but you have to pay extra for it. I really like the locking feature and also that the steps taper up on the end instead of down like the Lone Wolf. I also like that the XOP are camo whereas the Lone Wolf stand out like a sore thumb. So, you need to decide if the decrease in weight is worth it for some of the trade offs. All in all I think the XOP are nicer, but I do notice a clear difference in weight with the Lone Wolf being lighter. Hope that helps. God bless you.

Oh, and if you are planning to order your stand through Amazon, please use the link for it on my website because they give me a little kick back when I send business their way. It is listed about half way down on this page of my site www.seansoutdooradventures.com/store/
      God bless

I'm leaning towards the Xop sticks. This is my first mobile hang on so I really have nothing to compare it to for weight and ease of use. If the weights are true from both companies sticks, then there is about a 3lb difference total. That doesn't seem like all that much and I plan on buying molle straps to distribute the weight of the stand better. I think that might help a bit. The locking feature seems like it'll take less time to take apart and pack up as well. Since I'm new to the mobile hang on hunting I just want to make sure I buy the easiest and quietest stand/sticks to setup and take down. The fewer steps I have to worry about the better, especially while learning the whole process. I didn't know Amazon sold Xop stands and sticks. The prices are better than anywhere else I've looked too, so I'll definitely order through your site when I figure out what I'm buying. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the detailed answer!

It probably also depends on how much additional gear you have. I have so much weight in video equipment that every pound can make a difference. If you don't have much else then the three pounds may not seem bad. Good luck regardless of what you decide. God bless you.

People apply every year to be on my map reading challenge and this year I have 4 teams of hunters, and each team has 3 men on it. Stay tuned to my channel and you will be seeing a lot more of it. Also, the grand prize is a free BowTech Reign 6, AND, I'm giving away a BowTech Reign 6 to a viewer as well as one of these tree stands along with other stuff. God bless.

The actual platform looks like the old lone wolf.Still has the old style bow holder built in the base in the front.Do you know if the sticks will nest into the the lone wolf at the "v" area like the lone wolf sticks?

Sean, also, with new stands the straps all have that shine to them.Have you addressed this issue.I am sure a deer would see this.Only thing I think of doing is soak them in some mud or muddy water to help dirty them up to get rid of that shine.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  6 років тому

I'm not sure about that, there is a good chance they will fit.

I have not had deer get bothered by the straps. They seem fine in all of my uses with them so far this year.
