Like you clearly laid out, they both seem to be more specific for someone's style of hunting. The lighter one would be my choice, and I like the color as well. Good review!!

Absolutely. Depends on what you need and what you value more for how you hunt. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

I like the lighter color and lighter weight on the Cold World as well as the 5 pitch adjustments. The seat does seem a bit small, and it being double the price is hard to chew on. I think for only 3 more pounds the Vanish seems to be a slightly better deal for the money. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and nice shirt! Thanks, Tom!👍🏼

I had to bust out the shirt. I agree with everything you said. Vanish is the better bang for your buck. It fits me slightly better than the cold World because I'm a taller person. But I'm still excited about the cold World because it's going to come in really handy for those long hikes. Thanks for watching!

I guess the newer style of run and gun hunting isn’t exactly my cup of tea. I’ve used cheaper hang on stands with small platforms over the years, and I can’t stand them. They are too small in the tree for me to be comfortable. Instead of focusing on the animal and making my shot, im worried about stepping off the platform.
I bought an XOP Maximus a few years ago. I hunt mostly private but I bought it so I could eventually try some public. Haven’t quite yet but I need to make time to try.
How I’ve used it on private so far, I use the quick hang brackets. I buy cheap ladder sticks from Walmart at the end of the year on sale. I put them up with some quick hand brackets in the off season. During season, I move the stand in and out, using the quick brackets to make it easier to hang quickly and consistently.
Since I bought an XL sized platform, I’ll never buy another one smaller again. I’d rather deal with the extra weight and have the added comfort in the stand.

Being comfortable is important. I'm glad you found what works for your style of hunting. I tried the saddle thing for a couple years and I was comfortable but found myself moving too much and had a hard time shooting to the weak side. So I gravitated back to the hang on stand which I am liking. I'm just as comfortable and can sit more still now. Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel.

If I was that tall I’d most definitely still have my roomy 30”x 19.5” Novix Echo, but I’m only 5’9” and find my Lone Wolf Assault 2 still long enough to safely cock my Xbow with the rope cocker. I quickly sold a little Novix Helo even before I had any thoughts of hunting with the crossbow because it really made me appreciate the larger stands I’ve used over the years. So being cap’n obvious here, the thinking is that if guys can hang in a saddle from a tree and perch on tiny platforms, just how much larger does a hang on stand’s platform need to be? Well, for myself at least, the skinny width of the back of the Novix Helo platform clearly didn’t cut it, but being an older guy, what I’m getting at is I’ve had the experience of hunting from the OG hang on stands made by Lone Wolf (and now Novix). Both the LW Assault and the Alpha were 19.5” wide for a reason, and that’s why the most popular XOP’s are only half an inch narrower in spec. All that said, the weight reduction of the XOP Cold World is quite appealing and I guess the thinking is it’s sort of Goldilocks, splitting the difference between the OG stands and the micro stands.

The cold World is I think a great size as is the Vanish. I'm curious to see how an all day hunt goes with them. Thanks for watching

The 3" shorter seat according to the XOP specs would be a deal breaker on the Cold World. That needs to be taller so it is easier to get in and out of the seat. Most companies have a minimum height of 20-21" and many companies have 22-25" options which allows you to get in and out of the seat with less movement.

I wish it was longer as well. Although the seat cushion didn't pancake down much at all so it probably feels like 18-19 inches. But either way it would be nice to have a taller post option for sure. I agree. Less movement the better. Thanks for watching and commenting

Is OXP stands safe ? I know they had issues ?

I heard a number of years ago they had a bad run of cast platforms on one of their stands. But since then I haven't heard of any problems that I know of. What I like is that they are rated for 350 lbs.

I had my seat webbing crack and it was replaced with a new stand no questions asked. I’m pretty sure I hunted with it cracked for awhile

Glad they fixed the issue right away! What stand was that and how long ago did this happen?

Few years ago they were cracking. That was before they came out with the evo. They replaced them with evo’s for free I think if you sent it to them.

That's an extra 250 dollars for less to stand on, a 3 pound weight difference, paying more for 3 pounds less material in cast platform is as stupid as it sounds. Competitive pricing should have it 30.00 cheaper than the vanish, not more 🤦

I totally see your point. It is noticably lighter though. 30 percent lighter. I guess it's what you prefer. But the vanish is a great stand for sure. I like both. Thanks for watching

@@ontargetadventures4940 I like your review, but 3 pounds lighter, with less platform for an additional 250, I'm a mobile public hunter, I can buy 2 xop vanish for 10 cheaper than one cold world. That's way beyond deal breaker.
