Excellent video! Lovely to see our daughter Carianne(Caz),son in law (Fraser) and his brother Alexander all working in harmony to ensure the well-being of their lovely highland cattle. A very informative and interesting watch👏👏👏 Thank you Kaz!
13:33 I love this bit. You sound like me the time I was interviewing Irish Sean-Nós singer Lillis Ó Laoire live in FlirtFM Studio 1, University of Galway, and I asked him something towards the end of the hour but I forgot to put up his mic and Lillis was going on and on, and then I realised that only me could hear him, so I said to the audience “that was a competition to see how well you know Lillis Ó Laoire. Answers on a postcard: I asked Lillis this question: xyz. WHAT WOULD LILLIS Ó LAOIRE SAY TO THAT QUESTION? Both of us laughed! 🙂🙃🙂🤓🤓
So many questions… when the cows were running behind that truck, what were they following so keenly? The video made it look like they were running on water, was that low tide? For those beautiful cows, both male and female have horns? Are the cows primarily raised for meat or mostly because they are a precious breed? Does your scanner friend also have a vlog? Thanks for this video in particular. Its a life dream to visit Scotland and the that area in particular.
You'd have to ask Carianne that, possibly they associate the truck with feed? The beach still had a very low tide on it hence the shimmer. Both sexes are horned in cattle. Highlands are often kept for beef, or to cross with other breed e.g Shorthorn to produce sturdy females which themselves go on to thrive and produce beefy calves on rough ground. Ryan doesn't have a vlog (yet) but he does share a lot of what he does on social media - see the links in the description! Thanks for the very kind feedback!
Highlands are such a beautiful breed of cattle. I have a plush highland cow that sits on my bed next to my pillow that I bought from Tom Pemberton. How would a non farmer like myself distinguish the differences between the pur highlands and the short horn cross? I have no clue what you meant when you described them in the video.
@@farmvetfilms Fantastic! I had wanted to ask if you ever come across any on your travels, or even treat some, but don't want to be consuming your time as you're a busy man!
Thank you so very much Kaz! This vlog was absolutely wonderful! I really enjoyed it so much, the cattle, the scenery, well just everything. What percentage after preg checking did y’all find pregnant?
Great to see such efficient co-operation. Was this a busman’s holiday? Anyway far better than most people’s idea of a holiday. A pity the house has gone to ruins

Thank you Kaz!
They were a lovely group, very kind of them to have me. The Caz/Kaz thing only got confusing a few dozen times!
Dont know your daughter Carianne, but I am an old friend of Ena, who started this farm.

A great video. Really enjoyed seeing the Highland cattle in their natural environment. Hopefully someone will renovate the house one day.
I hope so too!
What a great video, loved seeing those Highland Cattle.
I think it’s great to see a breed of livestock in its ‘proper’ environment.
Lovely video of a wonderful way of life heritage and culture ❤
That’s what I thought Sean 😄

The Shorthorn crosses are typically less shaggy and piebald/skewbald.
Wonderful video. Thanks very much for posting.
One day we’ll get some Clydesdales on!

Now you’re asking - Ryan was keeping scores. I think with a few sets of twins the guys were pretty happy with it!
@@farmvetfilms Kaz…Don’t I always ask these highly insightful questions? 🤣
Great video, weather must be rough out there
We were lucky that day Ross but they’ll get their fair share 🌧

Yes! Everyday is a holiday for me.
@@farmvetfilms yes that’s true when you are doing what you really enjoy, and the challenges along the way make life interesting.
from indonesia😍🇮🇩😍
Amazing! Appreciate it from the UK.
Fantastic set up.. shame about the house.. would of made a beautiful place to stay.
It’ll be a great project for someone one day no doubt
I love seeing them horn on, unmolested.
I understand why it's done (wasting, safety, etc), but I just don't like it myself.
Horses for courses!
