    No disrespect, love. But like all of this was wrong. Anyone watching this, please please please DONT wash your synthetic wigs with anything made for human hair. Especially the cheap products being used in this video. Synthetic fiber wigs are litterally made out of whats in your clothes. If youre on a budget, use a super small amount of laundry detergent and fabric softener. If you can afford it, they have shampoos specifically formulated for synthetic wigs.

      Honestly ur right.. bc I’ve done this and tho the wig may look good for the moment.. the min u wear it it’s gonna Matt and tangle worse then it was b4. I find detergent does a better job at longevity. Even after doing these steps u will still need to flat iron it again or cut more and more off the ends with every wear. I’ve done it both ways.. and using detergent gets me about 6 more wears out of it b4 I need to repeat it. With shampoo and conditioner I wear it once and it’s matted back worse then it was b4 washing it with shampoo and conditioner.

    I tend to use laundry detergents and fabric softeners when repairing synthetic wigs. Seeing how synthetic hair is basically fabric.. I don't know🙄 I like to save my shampoos and hair care products for human hair wigs. 🤷🏾‍♀️... Thanks for the video ☺️

    • @anitataco6488
      @anitataco6488 2 роки тому +1

      Switch to silicone oil! Fabric softener breaks down the fibers over time. It's like meat tenderizer for your clothes, & it's not really great for clothes either. I used fabric softener for a long time & then wondered if there was something better. Silicone oil is like magic for synthetic hair!
      There's actual wig spray that's pure silicone oil, but I find it cheaper to buy the kind people use for acrylic paint pouring. As long as its 100% silicone oil it's fine no matter what it's being marketed for.
      Seriously, its heaven sent! Especially for curly or wavy wigs. Plus silicone has a really high heat resistance so it's a great thermal protectant & even moisturizer for synthetic hair & cuts way down on frizz.

    Thank you so much omg . My wig looks BETTER than when I bought it . I didn't use conditioner I read the comments so decided to not to use it . Put a tiny bit of argan oil on the ends instead of cutting and it's perfect so flowy.

    Let me also add this tidbit. A flat iron with solid ceramic plates, works wonders on human or synthetic hair.
    Be sure it says SOLID ceramic plates on the package. Otherwise, they are only COATED with ceramic. Follow the instructions closely on the packaging for the maximum temp info that the hair will tolerate. Units nowadays can tolerate up to 400 degrees F. Read the package though! You're welcome lol.

    • @daisyduke8656
      @daisyduke8656 2 роки тому +2

      You used real hair care products and brushed it while wet and it feels amazing now? I don't get what you were doing before as real hair care products are never recommended for synthetic hair and brushing or combing out the hair while wet will stretch out the strands and can break them off. Then hanging the wig upside down to dry instead of placing it on a wig stand will stretch out the cap. P.S. I guarantee you she is washing a near new wig not a frizzy one.

    Actually all you have to do is fill the bathroom sink with boiling hot water from a teapot or pot, ( detangle the wig before hand) then slowly dip the wig half way into the water(avoid dipping cap part of the wig in the water just the hair!!) Then pull it out then take a comb and run it through the wet hair immediately (try not to burn yourself) you can repeat for maximum straightness. Let it dry add some leave on conditioner Then your wig will look as good as the day you first bought it! But note I only tested this boiling water idea on kankalon synthetic fiber.
