    OMG this was the best tutorial I've ever watched on reviving wigs! It pretty much straightened my wig so I ended up just using a curling iron on it afterwards. Honestly thought I haven't been able to really run my fingers through it since I bought it. I have a lot of the same brand wig from Amazon but they changed them some so i get my girls back and don't have to go human hair now!

    I was concerned that using fabric softener would remove the curl. Thank God it doesn't. I just started buying wigs a few months ago when I lost my hair from chemo. I didn't know that it would be so difficult to maintain them them, lol. I spent a substantial amount on two half synthetic half real hair and one is a total mess because The other is synthetic. Its my favorite and it was cheap but it's starting to get matted. Thank you!

    Hi all! I'm back with another synthetic wig saving tutorial. This time we are going no heat! Have you tried using a tangle teezer on your synthetic wigs before? Let me know if this method works for you. P.s. If you have rough hair ends then I still advise you to use a steamer to fix those. Steam will "melt" the ends and make them smooth again.

    gonna add this to my method since both help a lot. The other thing I do is cut with thinning shears (the scissors with teeth like a comb) in several places down the hair in each section, then brush out any tangles/excess hair.
    This typically gets rid of tangles permanently, but it was my first time doing it so i think i didn't make the sections small enough for the cuts, lol. Adding the solution and then brushing again to see if the combo works! :D

    I've never understood - why fabric softener? Can someone explain what it does? I see a lot of people who fix synthetics use it. How/why does it work?

    • @DeeDellimore
      @DeeDellimore  2 роки тому +8

      synthetic wigs are made from synthetic materials (plastics etc). A lot fo clothes are made from Polyester or Nylon mixes. These are synthetic fabrics. Fabric softener is made to make fabrics including those from synthetic materials softer. So it has the same effect on synthetic wigs.
