before I wear any synthertic wig, I wash them in warn or tepid water with fabric softener leaving it to soak for 2 hours and it really extends the life of them and stops constant tangling. Mine have lasted several years because of washing it like that every 3 months or so.

May I ask which fabric softener you use and are you a regular wig wearer ie. most days? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

So i do installs and i figured out the most efficient hack to keep it from getting tangled/ life expectancy. synthetic wigs tangle bc the hairs are all one length. natural hair has natural “breaks” in it making it easier for the brush to go through. so if you grab some thinning scissors and cut down the hair shaft on the wig (pretty much like layers but it can be sloppier) it will give those “natural breaks.” obviously it will still get tangled but lord it will brush through like butter. (never thought id say that bout one of those things)😭😭

The synthetic wigs today are fabulous especially brands like outre melted lace. You can buy so many more wigs and the upkeep is less hectic. You just gotta make sure you buy the best quality ones ones and throw and go.

As a hairstylist, and someone who has very long hair they've been upkeeping for over 15 years I have a little tip for you re: powdering your wig to combat too much shine. Cocoa powder.
It will not give you the ashy tone that you'll get with talc, or most dry shampoos. Go very very lightly and sparingly as you do with the baby powder. You don't have to worry about any ill effects from pure cocoa (don't use something with sugar in it) on your hair whether it's natural or synthetic, and you won't attract insects or anything like that.. it's perfectly safe.
Alternatively, there are dry shampoos that come in dark shades to combat this issue for those of us who have darker hair colour.

I agree no products on a sleek 30/ 40 inch. Get your hot comb or flat iron and just run it through with a good brush. Also use some thinning shears and just cut a few chops in and brush out the excess. Be like brand new again! Do not throw them beauties away!!!!

That Bloom Bundle looks really good on you. I'll try that recommendation. However, you know, I tried that Organique hair and it tangled so badly over the course of a day so I have been reluctant to purchase it again. Maybe I'll try a different curl pattern next time. I have heard that spraying a solution of diluted fabric softener does the same as conditioner and water - have you ever used that? Thank you for these tips.

Did the package say you can flat iron the hair? If so I’d say try to flat iron it on the lowest setting.
Is the hair curly or straight? If it’s curly I’d say you can put a little dot of conditioner mixed with a little water on the frizzy part. It should go back to normal. Thanks for watching 🤍

But MA'AM......are you paying her for these tips and her time and dedication to helping others?!?!?
How about next time YOU just realized you were obviously raised wrong cause sis your commentary was rude, condescending and hilarious in the sense that not ONLY did it not benefit ANYONE (unlike our good sis here sharing tips that you can obviously take it leave because your milage may vary)...
And then on top of that you ALSO simply could not be bothered enough to AT LEAST construct your useless, unwarranted opinion correctly. You have the punctuation skills of someone who dropped out of school in 3rd grade.
Finally, as I'm sure it took you more than enough effort to read this much, instead of spreading and projecting your own blatant self-misery onto others....perhaps you should turn it inward and get that hate up out your heart because everyone else found a way to appreciate her. EVERYONE else managed to not be so entitled and time deaf that the phrase "if it don't apply, let it fly....."
But again, I suppose some of us cannot help but to be boastful in an attempt to belittle others only to uno reverse themselves into embarrassing, uncouth behavioral patterns. So honestly you probably can't help but to exist in a perpetual state of feckless disregard for others even when it only reflects badly on YOU in the end.
      No bueno.

    • @NurseSnow2U
      @NurseSnow2U 2 роки тому +6

      @@sinakennedy you did phenomenal!!!!
I genuinely appreciate you taking the time out to offer information to others when you don't have to. Even if entitled folks will find one million and one poor excuses for their piss poor character, monetized or non monetized channel that ad revenue does NOT come out of the viewers pocket.
LITERALLY out here trying to help someone else's conundrums and folks will find a way to complain like it's a $500 per credit hour high ranking university course.
Chileeee, in the repetitious words of my dearly departed Gramma...."folks make my ass ITCH" 😭😭😭
Keep shining beautiful, those that are for you will find you but I appreciate you quelling the myth of the angry black woman by not emotionally engaging with toxicity. 😊 We LOVE to see it!!!
