Death fans seem to understand the concept of what a tribute is alot better than Pantera fans.
I mean... this was also always promoted as a tribute act whereas the Pantera thing was heavily marketed as an actual reunion.
@@Kwert Where they would be called the new Pantera and make new albums under that name and play concerts from here on and moving forward as the new Pantera? No, they did not. This was always billed as a tribute. Death fans just seem to have more chill. It's not ALL of Pantera's fans though. There's enough support for these shows to be massive but alot of negativity and false assumptions made also.
@@Rob_Cary it’s been literally billed everywhere as a “reunion”, with the word “reunion” specifically being used in almost every case. Zakk gave an interview saying he didn’t consider it such, but in literally every instance of marketing it’s referred to as a “reunion”, and they bill themselves simply as “Pantera”. Not “Pantera for All” or “Pantera Tribute”, etc. Do you see why people might be getting confused?
Pantera and Death have many common fans..
I just saw Death To All At Balitmore and Now im Seeing Pantera In August. Always wanted to see both bands and i finally got a Chance. Thats how i see it.
Man the singer really nails the Chuck vibe and sound very well.
I agree, it’s not easy to replicate Chuck’s style
Max Phelps is insane. Check out his band Exist if you like Cynic
@@IvanIvanov-qx5oz Will do, thanks for the tip.
@@RDS-3 he is fookn super!!! gah damn!
Nephew of Chuck
Steve has lost none of his insane bass chops. He nailed that outro solo trade-off with Gene.
Shame they hardly show any of it in this video.
@@jeremyfaulkner1048 I know man. Steve is the very reason we have so many insane bassists in extreme metal today, but he frequently gets a raw deal exposure wise.
Sounds fantastic boys! Chuck would be so proud!
Gene Hoglan (drums ´Individual Though Patterns´ and ´Symbolic´), Steve DiGiorgio (bass guitar ´Human´ and ´Symbolic´), Bobby Koelble (guitars on ´Symbolic´) and Max Phelps on guitars and vocals (Exist, Death To All, Cynic, Defeated Sanity)... logic absolutely perfect and awesome Death cover, 🤘🤘🤘👌
Really awesome cover and band.I agree with you
We need nocturnious back also
One of the most iconic death metal songs of all time, it sounds impeccable...
"I'd like 2 tacos pleeeeeaaaase... and a side of fries to GOOOOOOOOOO!!"
"whoa, is that a bear!?"
I watched you guys in Sofia, Bulgaria. I literally had tears in my eyes because it was a dream come true listening to these songs live blasting in front of me.
Chuck’s legacy still alive and well. Tremendous performance.
I never got a chance to see Death when Chuck was alive. Great to see his music and legacy being kept alive. Still the best metal band of all time. Please come to Ireland 🇮🇪🤘
I've tried asking them several times myself
Max Phelps NAILED it. Vocals are awesome!
I went to the 3/9/23 show at the observatory and what a dream come true!! Seeing my idols play tribute to chuck and keeping death still alive just makes my metal heart keep beating! Also Max did chucks vocals justice!! Always and forever keeping the metal faith alive and letting the metal flow 🤘🏻🤘🏻
i was also there at the observatory and that show kicked ass!! that pit was crazy hahaha
Gene is my favorite drummer of all time. I went absolutely insane when he came on stage in Chicago during the past DTA show. I couldn't believe it. Can't wait for a whole set with Gene! Dream come true!
Are you going to this upcoming show too? I cant wait!!!
Definitely. Can't miss this one
@@dhuntb00 i was there in chicago on the 29th

RIP Chuck Rip Sean...You the man Gene!

@@Charlie-bl3kq but Eric not a musician
SO fucking crisp. It's almost like half of the people on stage helped write it XD GREAT work as always Gene and THANK YOU for uploading this.
Love the way Steve plays bass, totally owns the stage. Superb tribute, Chuck would adore it.
Great job Uncle Gene!
Bobby's lead outro line is FLAWLESS! 🔥
If there was no video I’d be certain it’s some unreleased Death audio❤️🤘🏻
If we didn't have the video to confirm, you'd swear it was Chuck on the vocals.
edit: bit unfortunate the editor doesn't seem familiar with the material, not focusing on the respective solos when they are played...
dont worry mate. entire songs sounds like shit
THANK YOU GENE !!!!!! ETERNALLY grateful .... Chuck WILL will live on FOREVER .. Thanks to you guys !!!!!
Saw the show on 3/17/23 in Houston. Third time seeing DTA since 2013. I believe that first tour was actually billed under the name "Death", and featured the Human lineup of Masvidal/Reinert/Di Giorgio/Phelps. Chuck would be proud, these guys do a great job of honoring his legacy.
Masterpiece.
Sounds fucking awesome. You guys should write some new songs together and make an album! You got the talent!
Got to witness this live this past Thursday here in Houston. Also got a chance to meet Jean! What an experience!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This need a full concert video/Dvd or everything else🤘🤘 *And come to BILBAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😉
Song sounds amazing as ever especially the drums and bass
Just saw Crypta they ended their set with this riff!
SICK. I bought this album when it came out. Still got it. "Symbolic" too. Legends.

Saw y’all in Seattle. Best metal show I’ve seen in years
Be seeing you gents March 28th. Going to be a killer show!!
I was there in Seattle, watching you guys on the same stage saw Death play in 1998. You guys rule for this tribute. Chuck forever.
Saw them live here in Costa Rica last week.
Probably the best live show I've ever been to.
The musical execution was immaculate.
That was an amazing performance! Chuck would totally dig it! Thank you!
Merci !
Thanks again for the awesome show in Tampa! Hope you enjoyed the pics. \m/
Can help remembering Chuck's laugh at the end of this music video. Epic boys, thank you for this tribute🤘🏼
Insane show
I missed this years DTA, but I am glad I caught a show a few years back.
Please more videos Mr. Hoglan!
cameraman did a great job by not showing the bass solo parts.
I caught this tour in Austin and I can say without any doubt that the boys sounded incredible. One of the best live sounds I've ever heard and I've been to A LOT of shows. Was amazing to watch and soak in, definitely had a vibe along with the incredible musicianship. 🤘
Thanks for bringing this through my neck of the woods, been hoping to catch DTA since they first started making the rounds.
Saw them in Ventura!!! Great show!! Suffocation also ripped!!
Good stuff.
I'll see you in Denver for the last show on the tour!!!🤘
I just saw them in Asheville,NC. Show was DOPE!!!
Amazing \m/
Will be at the 3/29 show and can't wait 🤘🤘
Us too!
awesome
So good to see these guys play the music they helped create and which was so ahead of its time! Still sounds fresh and new to this day. For me the Metal-to-rule-all-Metal!
Must be pain in the butt sing and play the riffs. Well done!
Sing? You're joking right? These MFs would be dangerous if they had a vocalist
saw them at the brick by brick in san diego super awesome show! Paul Masdival showed up to
Sweet jesus, tell me there's more of these videos!
Saw you guys in London a few years back and I lost a few db of hearing it was so loud and heavy 😂
I met you once when I was local crew in UK when you were playing with testament. Out the back of the venue.
Awesome.
Tomorrow night. Excited
"Absolutely extraordinary".
Holy shit how'd I miss this
Súper máquina saludos desde niquia colombia 🇨🇴
Whoever does the sound/live mix is frikkin RAD.
Keep the metal flowing
I went to see them in Krakow last year, it was probably the best sounding and all around best show I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot, I've been going to shows since 2001. Bobby Koelble is such a beast on the guitar
Their soundguy is a wizard
Damn, wishing for the europe tour
It's so damn amazing to see Death to all play this music and do it justice.
Insane! Chuck is smiling down from the heavens
4:15 holy fuck, it is so intense !❤
Seeing this live in Mesa was a dream come true
Dude!! Max kicks ass!!! Sounds just like him
Great song Chuck is LIVE
Bro the singer is like Chuck’s voice twin. If I was blind I’d think it was really him
This is so right
Come to the UK guys, we loved Chuck as well!
was a great experience to see yo here in santiago CONCHESUMAREEEE
Awesome show! No dicks conjured 😂
This is a dream come true!
I got to see them back in March and I gotta hand it to the whole band for putting on a rad performance, especially Max. I can't imagine the pressure to get up there every night and perform all of that Death material, but he kicked ass. He sounds so much like Chuck, it's unbelievable.
