You two have saved the day for my mom -again. She has been sleeping in the recliner every other day legs elevated on a chair so the edema would not occur but WITHOUT support for her lumbar area. Your explanation of the spine was all she needed to see. We created a lumbar support from a towel - let the healing begin.

Helpful video; I sprain my back muscle recently and experiencing pain and spasms. I use heat ( cold doesn’t do much for me it seems) and placed my legs up on the pillows like demonstrated in the video; and this helps. Thanks. Back muscle pain can be extremely painful. I do notice that when I eat plant base diet; it help to ease the pain.

Ryan Jack Depending on what you are treating, or what your back problem is, ice on for 20 minutes and off for maybe 45 minutes throughout the day and into the evening if needed, will help, especially with nerve pain and some other kinds of issues. If it’s strictly a chronic muscle tightness or strain or something like that most of the time moist heat or if you have it available, infrared heat, helps, or a hot shower, or better still soaking in a very warm tub of Epson salts will loosen things up and take out the aching, some inflammation and ease the pain for most people. These treatments are usually only temporary for relief of chronic issues of course, and probably should be used in conjunction with an over the counter analgesic or perhaps something else your doctor prescribes.

Having low back spasms. I had neck surgery 6 months ago and woke up 10 days ago with bad pain in my neck. Feels deep like a torn tendon. I can barely move it and when sleeping I was using my low back to move and turn and now my low back is in HORRIBLE pain. It froze up. And also girdle pain. I couldn't move. So now dealing with neck and low back pain. In tears..😥😥😥 I'll try anything. I am only 35 and have a toddler but my back is in bad shape. I also have RA. I'll do anything to feel better.

My back just goes into spasm for no reason, I'll be fine then boom I'm in agony and the pain comes round into my lower stomach, groin and sometimes my thigh and down my leg! The leg wedge is possibly the best thing you guys have ever recommended, it's amazing!! I just need to try and get a thermotex here in the UK because they're expensive and they like to hit me with custom charges, which I don't mind, what does bother me is the £8 handling fee the royal mail charge, it's a complete rip off!

I go through similar where the spasms wrap around my lower back/ obliques and into my hip flexors aka illiopsoas and down my anterior/ front quad that attaches at the top hip bone: rectus femoris. I’ll self massage my lower back, obliques, lat, side of hip gluteus medius, mid and lateral quadriceps rectus femoris, vastus lateralis and TFL. I’m checking to make sure my illiopsoas are released. My right lower back, large back muscle quadratus lumborum keeps staying tight. I’ll mobilize my hips inferiorly and superiorly and I can feel my right QL and paraspinals grabbing ahold of my illiac crest, the top of my hip bone in the back and sacrum. Maybe I’m misaligned and the bones aren’t allowing my muscles to release. I’m a bodyworker and I cannot figure out how to get this to release this week.

But without a doubt when I can get down in those positions with a lot of pain or when the pain finally goes down it's amazing how much it helps. Not having anyone to help position the pillows/support makes it so much more difficult. We always recommend the Thermotex Platinum because it can be used on various body parts where as other models are strictly designed for certain body parts. If you order using our link, thermotex will send two straps with the bad so you can wear it. Here is the link: www.thermotex.com/bobandbrad/ and use code: FAMOUSPTX for a discount

I’m laying on a park bench right now, it’s raining and I can’t move. Took me about 7 minutes to cross the street and then10 to reach the bench. My brother? Oh he’s coming fast on his bike to my aid. To help as I lay with the rain drops straight out of work . Staring upwards a second leave has passed my eye sight being plucked by the windy and rain. Boy my life really sucks.

I’ve been having muscle spasms in what feels like my back, neck and chest since mid December it is now July they’re constant everyday, gives me a headache everyday the doctors just say we assume it’s from a injury and that it could take me up to a year to heal we’ve been to so many doctors and have done so many tests I’m sick of dealing with these spasms!
