Oh man, I hope that you will read this. I have watched so many videos on lower back problems that my eyes are going buggy, none of them addressed specifically what I'm feeling and seem to just generalize so much as to not give misinformation, they're almost useless. However 90% of what you said in this video is exactly to a t when I am experiencing. Finally I found the guy that is on my screen. learned a whole lot you are very encouraging and thank you for the effort of putting this on youtube.
I too suffer from this. I take a muscle relaxant twice a day and it's very important to not be idle. You need to very carefully walk around multiple times a day in between rest. Your brain needs to realise that it's ok to release the muscle spasm gradually.
When im in a 90/90 position using a foot rest. Should i relax my legs and let them fall open or use my muscles to keep them together with my feet pointed up?
Thank you for stating the difference between pinched nerve and back spasm. Both huet but that back spasm😭😭. I will try these when the pain isn't so intense. Thank you much❗️👏🏽
Very helpful positions for relief of my lower back spasms, especially the recommendation of using a hard floor for the positions. You accomplished for me in half a day what several days of muscle relaxants could not. Thank you!
Suffering a spasm right now. I’d add one thing to the laying on your stomach position: my hips are rotated and my lower abdominals are also tight, so I work on trying to rotate my hips back to the normal position and press my lower abdomen into the ground.
I had muscle spasm in August 2023 and it came about while lifting a jerrycan of water to my back, since then my backpains are so much like i live in pain ,it has been affecting my right hand all through to my right leg i have tingles and worse I can't stand cold or ACS, what should I do, what exercises should I do to relieve my back pain
Thanks for being a member and sorry about2 your spasms. First, you need to focus on calming the spine injury down and not triggering the pain. From there, it would be a focus on correcting the spine. Things that will strengthen the whole spine. I know its not specific but that specificity is based on exam, needs, etc.

Hello Dr Josh, How about the mid back? Im having a mid back pain spasms. I cant do a pullups now. and whenever I foam roll my mid back it start to hurt/spasms then cant straighten my back.
Why does this happen to me so often? Is it linked to scoliosis? It usually happens out of the blue, without any reasonable explanation, but this time it was stand up burpees….
Nope. We call that an antalgia. This usually indicates some sort of disc injury but not always. This tends to go away as the pain reduces. Check out the FREE back pain guide as this has some of the things you can do to help it!
Sorry you are dealing with this! When it comes to pain and not increasing injury, you need to find what works for you. I find that many do well with this exercise but it is not one size fits all!
@@livlavlov_xo tbh everyday is different jus remember to do these exercises and stretches everyday to relieve tension from the lower back and it’s been helping me haven’t had any spasms since I wrote this

Yep lasted about 3 days. Had to crawl around my house lol. Now I can tell when my backs about to do this and can try and prevent it
Listening to most of these videos about relief for back spasms. I don't think these guys have ever had one because you can barely even move around.
Probably yes

"Extremely uncomfortable" is an understatement lol. I'll try these techniques. Thanks for the video.

If you’re losing sensation in your limbs you need to see a doctor asap
It's a herniated disc. See a doctor before it gets worse

Hello doc i hope you can read this. Is muscle spasms can cure by therapy? My doctor told me that i need to go to the therapy. I hope you can answer 🙏
This is very helpful
Glad it was!
Is the dead hang for decompression too much?
Thank you

I went to the ER with severe spasms. They told me to take Motrin and walk it off. Needless to say, I had spasms for 4 days
Oh gosh so sorry. Once you get back to feeling better, please try and seek some help.
Mine is 2 months. I now tilt to one side as a result of it

Many of the concepts here can apply to the mid-back. So yes, watch this but also know it may be a little different for your case.

I guess due to our weak lower back muscle. Focusing to stretch it everyday to build strong lower back muscle.
