LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.23 OPEN PTU
BOREDGAMER GIVEAWAY RULES | / star_citizen_may_2024_...
MY SYSTEM SPEC | / boredgamer_system_specs
Star Citizen is an Open Development Alpha Project by Cloud Imperium. It is 2 Games really though, the Persistent Universe that aims to build a First Person MMO Space Sim that encompasses gameplay in ship & on ground, economy and pretty much anything else you can think of. It's built in the StarEngine (a modified Lumberyard Engine). You'll see massive Space Ships that you can fly with friends, land on planets, explore or whatever your way to whatever goal you choose. It's available to try in it's current Alpha State now, you can give feedback & influence the direction of the game BUT it is VERY ALPHA.
Squadron 42 is the Single Player Campaign of Star Citizen & the Spiritual Successor of Wing Commander. The Idea is the game is immersive, cinematic, beautiful & seamless... NO LOADING SCREENS once in game.
Both Games are currently in the Alpha of their development.
I am suspecting to see something more mainstream for Star Citizen's PU by the end of 2024 with permanent progression, though it will be a while after that before the game is considered "feature complete" which would be closer to 2025 in my opinion.
The are no dates for Squadron 42's Release Yet BUT it is now Feature Complete.
I am an Independent Content Creator & Star Citizen Fan. I am not paid by Cloud Imperium HOWEVER I am an Evocati Member and as such I am under an NDA for Closed Early Patch Tests of Star Citizen', known as the Evocati Test Flight (ETF). They occasionally offer me ships for giveaways too, which I will take if they are truely NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
GameGlass, Shadow & NordVPN referrals give me a small kickback, however I am not paid by them for any specific videos or promotion. Unless Otherwise Stated.

LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.23 OPEN PTU
Check out my Star Citizen Break dancing video Rich.
It's ready. Spend 3 hours on the EPTU. Spent time at a DC looting boxes, did a 10 box delivery mission, had one server error. Did it all in Vulkan. It's ready to go.
All I need to hear. Hope they don’t wipe ships tho 😮
Awesome, im so ready for this.
@@Brandon-bd8fkShip and money Wipe was confirmed in this morning’s SCL.
@@GraphiteSC dang rip my Corsair
@@GraphiteSC Money and RENTAL ships were confirmed to wipe, ships bought in game are staying
I hope it's not gonna be a mess when it comes to stability. We really need server meshing.
The new hoverbike is small and looks fun!
They fit one in an aurora 😂
I want it
looks like subscriber flair.
People seem to forget that live is still an alpha test, not a full finished release
easy to forget over 12 years of alpha
Alpha-4-Life
@@gaming8896 how could that be easy to forget, if it's been in alpha for 12 years?? That doesn't make any sense at all.
But CIG said it was a live service? Just playing devils advocate... Food for though perhaps.
@@maxdoesntsurrender6642 so amything CIG says is true
So many updates it's hard to keep up! Thanks for keeping up updated!
I actually appreciate the message from Zillow and the reminder that even live is technically part of testing.
Agreed. Perfect is the enemy of good enough, and too many people have the tendency to forget that this whole game is still being tested, or think that everything needs to be perfect. No one wants another 3.18 fiasco, when players literally couldn't log into the game until the next patch. But that sort of thing is probably impossible to detect beforehand. And the EPTU patch as it currently stands is in pretty good shape, based on what I've seen.
As an example, yeah, it would be nice if the Open/Close panels for the component compartments on my Redeemer were fixed (two are literally floating in air, and the rest are completely missing; I added my report to an existing Issue Council item). But it won't really affect my enjoyment of the game if this particular bug goes to Live, since there's still not really any reason other than messing around to get into those compartments.
It's ready enough. We've had some rough patches in the past but it feels like 3.23 is in a state that can go to live
The pulse looks so fun. Watching them get one into an aurora made me chuckle when they showed it off. Hoping they actually did fix turrets considering hoverbikes flying vehicles though.
Back in the day playing Halo I loved getting the Ghosts into areas they weren't supposed to be... Hope the Mirai Pulse will be like that.
the ghost was just so good you didn't want to part with it. even though the game wanted you to. luckely it was usually possible to get it into some verry tight spaces.
The pulse actually looks pretty useful. Something you can take with almost anything to traverse some bigger distances is something I've wanted before.
Thanks for the update.
Thank you for the update.
Thank you for all of your updates, I really appreciate it. ❤
star citizen live was awesome this week, i feel like they expressed a lot of the same sentiments that I feel, and I would hope that I share with the community. I'm so glad they made the decision to full steam on the SQ 42 features to move the production of SC forward!
They should do a heavy Mirai fighter or small cap ship where some of the turrets are embedded Fury snubs, which can act as turrets when docked but have the ability to also detach so that they can fly around (dog fight, do recon, etc.).
That would be a lot of fun, when I first messed around with a Hammerhead I thought the turrets would make great detachable pods.
Probably Monday? Fleet week lets go!
Cant wait for a stable experience to invite my friends to !
The Nursa (medical ursa) might be coming in. It was in the fleet week promo video
Thanks for the update =)
Looking forward to LIVE as long as its ready. Give it more time if needed
I hope it's ready!
Thank you! Your content is great! Keep up the good work
Thank you for always keeping us informed.
Thanks for the update sir
Thanks for the update...
I finally played EPTU and so many great things, the map (obv), distribution centers, master modes (liked it more than I thought I would), etc. There are a lot of things that are broken or are wonky with the new interaction UI. I feel like learning SC is learning your way around known bugs and annoyances, and while a lot of those have been fixed over the years, this patch will bring a whole new set. But it all feels in service of moving in the right direction. It's not ready, but I understand their desire to keep up momentum. I just hope they have a chunk of time set aside for clean up, and not just new features
Not mentioning the auec/ships wipe the big three conceded to for 3.23, when pressed by Jared?
Looking forward to seeing what ships we get.
I’ve been looking forward to some of the features in this update for ages! I can’t wait!
Excited to see all the new ships they might show off for Fleet week, Also excited to check out 3.23
Some 3.23 action this weekend would surely be welcome
The pulse looks like a nice edition to the hover bike class of vehicles.
I hope we got a full wipe to start fresh , a lot of people, me included, probably have all/most of the ships in game now with the salvage loop being so OP . i am curious to see how much harder it is , with salvage price being down and ships being more expensive .
You can always reset your character...
Rumor has it, it'll be an aUEC wipe, looks like there's a chance we will get to keep ships etc
My biggest issue is that Corpse Markers don't seem to work and your corpse disappears. Other than that, I haven't had many issues. Elevarors at DC didn't work, fell through the DC once, and Airlocks have no lighting, other than that everything seem ok.
2 weeks after it goes to live is when its ACTUALLY live.
I love you BoredGamer. No better place for SC news 📰
Thanks BoredGamer, good information as usual. I think Fleet week around the 24th in order to make time for 3.23 PU stabilization and final stage of the missions.
Looking forward to fleet week for certain! Especially with the new flight modes and FPS updates.
gonna be interesting to see when they pull the trigger on pushing it out
Pretty stoked for that Pulse
Id say, with the improvements recently made to 3.23, 4.0 could easily release on august 2024, or October 2024 at the latest, if the features are almost ready for release
Thank you for the news
I have always had more issues on PTU and EPTU servers than the normal servers.... 3.18 as an exception. but I never played the PTU for 3.18...
I hope that the live servers handle 3.23 well and give us a great experience into ILW.
The hanger updates look so fun I can’t wait!
Loving the pulse, maybe it's an nice verhicle through the new Outposts
Im really digging the red mirai pulse.
I Hope they finally fix that SRV bug, having to get into the clean up ship before being able to tow it gets annoying after a bit, especially if you forget to do it.
The longer 3.23 takes, the longer I have to actually get Overdrive Initiative done, so I'd be more than fine with a few extra days.
I can't wait to see what/where i can squeeze that pulse in! Super excited for the future of SC
Gracias for the update.
I'm really excited for Fleet Week. Free rentals and hopefully some more of the ships that were teased at CitizenCon will come out.
finally some structured progress from rsi. great vids
I have been blown away by the amount of new content in 3.23 ptu and how fast progress is happening. feels like we are actually getting a fully formed game soon
Fleet week is always a good time. It's fun to try the new ships.
Aside from RoO missions, it's been a fun learning curve to get the hang of the new systems. Good times!
I, for one, am pretty dang excited about it coming out. I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for weeks. So excited for all the new features.
How do the bikes hover? Do they use a mass effect field?
From the ILW trailer and schedule looks like the Polaris is ready or we will be getting a tour of it. kind of excited for either.
Can't wait for the hangars and cargo elevator!
Cant wait to see the new pulse driving around grim hex
waiting for the patch release to start playing again, so i'm quite hyped
Tbh I wouldnt be able to chose between the base pulse or the LX... They're both so COOL
The pulse makes sense for an LTI grabber. I want my persistent hangers!
Cant wait to try out the new patch!
I think I'm looking forward to it in whatever state it is in. Ready to get the new mobiglass and map in my hands.
I love the new Mirai hoverbikes, they look speedy
The Pulse looks really fun! Finally something that seems to fit in the Titan without causing tears in the space-time continuum! Really hope they can iron out the last few issues or move them to a 3.23.x patch, no one needs to relive... you know... 😅
I personally would want to know what they’re up to for the future of Star Citizen especially other Star Systems and Ships.
Thanks for the info BG, here take this 👍 as thanks.
This is the first non Origin vehicle I fell in love with! I must have the Pulse!
I don't think its ready for live just yet, but its really close IMHO. Needs a bit of stability work. But with ILW so close, I think 23.1 will be close behind and bring those stability things with it...hopefully.
I'm running into mostly client crashes in ePTU when I hit 'inventory'. Secondarily I think if you switch from Vulkan to DX11 without deleting your shaders you get a crash too. (at least I did until I deleted shaders) They really need either a "delete USER and Shaders' button in the launcher, or to at least automatically blow away shaders when certain changes are made to settings.
Cant wait for increased ship prices!
I think the lil mirai pulse wil be amazing to just have it sit in a cargo hold, in case. The delay on features is better than the removal of features.
Looking forward to see what is coming out during Invictus. I really want the pulse. They sold it to me by showing it in a bunker lol.
I dont mind it taking a step back, knowing that stability will in the end come back. Obviously no one wants another 3:18, but, the live environment is also where the best testing takes place for fixes and solutions.
I think ppl forget that Live is still Alpha. We are lucky to play this game b4 its release. Its both Fun & frustrating being testers!
I want 3.23 to be live, but some of our org members still have some issues with distribution centers and some random stuff.
Better if it delays a little than being stuck without playing line in 3.18.
I need to test the new patches, i really hope it will go live when stable!
I’m subbed now, BG. Thanks for the info 07. Also, I heard the rumored wipe is now official. What are your thoughts on a full wipe prior to phase 6 of Xenothreat? Seems like fighting an Idris when most people won’t have anything capable of standing up to it is silly, imo.
I hope it releases this weekend, but only if it's ready.
Love your Vids! Helps keep me sane while i wait for 3.23 *thumbsup*
I have really enjoyed playing on the EPTU lately. At first, I was unsure but the more I play in that environment the more I enjoy it. It has been a long while since I have felt so positive towards Star Citizen and it feels good to see the progress.
Looking forward to it
Really was hoping for the hanger updates to be in the initial patch. But I would want it working over rushed.
Looking forward to getting new ui and map making the game more playable
Looking forward to what additional ship releases they are hiding for fleet week.
Woah a C1 with lifetime?! What a dream!
always glad to see smaller terrain vehicles, there should be entry level ones that can fit in either a cutter or titan
Has there ever been a patch that was truly ready?
I hope the pulse is a shoe in for the ranger!
I like the bikes! Godspeed, devs! Thanks for your service, playtesters! Great stuff, Bored! Be well, folks! 😉👍
I work in construction and one rule I always live by is never do major plumbing works on a friday, it always ends up going horribly wrong! Does this apply to SC updates? I have no idea, but when it comes to toilets or hot water, it's a solid philosophy.
Major updates do sometimes get pushed on Fridays.
If they push a major update on a Friday or Saturday morning, they will have full staff working over the weekend.
Also, Fridays are often done for a reason. They have access to a much bigger playerbase over the weekend, pushing out a patch on a Friday means they have tons of bug data to sieve through by Monday, meaning bugs get diagnosed and fixed faster, than they would be say, releasing a patch on a Monday, and only getting a trickle of data because everyone's at school or work.
I'm always excited for fleet week - new ships! yay! I'm hoping for my Apollo!? The new bike looks cool too!
Almost every patch breaks a certain aspect of the game, as long as the patch is stable and the servers aren't broken, I think I'll be happy. I think they only upcoming patch that might break everything as bad as 3.18 will be 4.0, with the entire server-to-client communication getting an overhaul
That pulse will be so much fun to mess around with - truly the best thing you can do in star citizen
Been waiting to get back into SC, 3.23 might just be my trigger. Great work, keep it coming!
for me they can take much time as they need since i need to get finish the overdrive mission yet
Hmm, seems the new bike seems to be another hoverbike, does it also have the drawback of being targeted by turrets, or can you use it instead of the golfbuggy?
Great Video, Thanks for the info.
I can't wait to get my new Pulse! looks like a load of fun!
