- I bought the A2 Bomber and Spline (Ben) and I (Trashus) decided to drop a Colossus bomb on the desert moon on Crusader (Daymar). It threw rocks 1000m in the air, almost hitting Spline in my A2.

Once the blast wave is realistic, this game is going to be even better. I bet the water effects look wicked with A2 bombs
@@ThermonuclearGaming1 They do, the wave is wild and it has its own particles for water. Love how quick progress is going right now

Yeah. They need to make it a nuke with the real fireball and blast effects. The mark 5 bombs in the A1 should be bunker busters

? Where are the nukes if not on the A2?
@@ThermonuclearGaming1 the a2 is moabs. The nukes are particular size 9 torpedo

Looks like the bomb dropped successfully, but the nuke payload didn't work - no flash, no enormous, given the low gravity, mushroom, no mega-dust storm from the shockwave...
The game doesn’t model it right, it did work correctly. I made a video showing how it should work.
@@ThermonuclearGaming1 , yeah, and you did a great job, for visualisation purposes! Alas, an accurate (i.e. taking into account stuff like actual gravity on that moon, composition of atmosphere, etc,) would most likely be too difficult to emulate without specialised software and probably, hardware too...

We have thought about it. SC has actually been a lot of fun. Sony making strange moves made me rethink it but I hear they backed off.
I thought to write the exact same when I saw this. I don’t mean to hate on the game, but that explosion was soooo underwhelming.
Check Helldivers 2.
Don’t pay attention to the psn account drama or the “omg they nerfed my weapons” crowd… give it a go, if you have palls to join you - even better

why do the graphics in this game look so clean??
It is Star Engine. They are putting a lot of time into it. This was from November, captured at 1080p, it can look even better. They just dropped a new update that added even more detail.

They just did a major update to it. It is playable, just buy a game package and you can have a fun time.

If you inspect the colossus bomb in the Crusader Showroom, it has the cutaway and has radioactive symbols on it. I think it is supposed to be a tactical nuke but CIG needs to work on the blast.

Well, I have to agree that the bomb does need more blast effects, at the time it was the first time for me standing on the ground when one exploded. It is basically a tactical nuke but it needs more kick to it. I would love to see a shockwave and a better fireball.
