    Amazing Jimmy. Final product is a work of art but all the techniques you use are a masterclass in woodworking. The bell is the icing on the cake, despite what the trolls had to say and loved the ending... cute dogs!

    Aw, that's great. Using reclaimed wood as veneer was a bit of genius. And we now know what the bell was for; very clever. The final product is amazing.

      I guess Murphy's Law says that "If you don't pay attention and know what you're doing, no matter how many safeties you implement, years of work in the shop will get you some accident."
      Attention and control are the most efficient safeties you can get when you're repeatedly exposed to danger.

    I made a house for my rabbit that fit inside his cage similar to your dog house. It was all 1/2 plywood and I used old fence slats as barn board on it. topped it off with a cedar roof. My shop class teacher was amazed.

    Great build Jimmy, I'm gonna scale it down to make some bird houses for the winter. I love the way that you lifted the wood on your chopsaw to cut extra wide, I might not have thought of that trick, thanks for the steer. BTW the nail gun trick scared me, ha ha , i'd have to use a scrap of wood or something!. Best wishes from the UK

      please be careful, i often take risks in the shop! not for every one. Thank you

    • @Mrhollerr
      @Mrhollerr 9 років тому

      Dominic I thought that was the trigger that made the nail fire. So when it's in contact with the wood and your weight is over the gun, the nail will fire all the way into the wood. But when you press the trigger half an inch off the surface with your finger tip like he did, there isn't as much force driving the nail in so it won't penetrate as deep. Something like that anyway.
      I think I'd have just used a small hammer and nail though haha

    • @jewelzc4
      @jewelzc4 9 років тому +1

      Dominic Lifting there bypasses the safety that tells the gun it is up against the wood. Doing so lets him fire it from a distance making the nails not penetrate so far or flush. That way they hold the two together so he can cut them together but still separate them later.
