You have a lot in common with a lot of girls of the 70's and 80's. I could relate to so much of your story, the "self absorbed" parents, the bad boyfriends, the partying. But we grew up now and we did get over it. I really enjoyed your stories. More, please. You are a very strong, determined woman, Mary. I admire you.

It’s so comforting to hear other people talk about needing years to heal after a terrible relationship. Sometimes people act like it’s weird I’m still not ready to date again and I get to feeling like I’m taking too long to heal.

God bless you Mary, today, tomorrow nd forever. We need more people like your in this world ❤ 💯

Ohh Mary this is just awesome, ready to laugh my ass off with your jokes! It’s like falling asleep with my mom sitting on my bed and telling me about her youth. I live alone in a foreign country away from my family, and that’s really cool to have you and your channels to keep me company often ❤ There are quite a few similarities in your experience and my experiences with certain narcissistic people - I more often than not felt alone in feeling the way I did about those things, but that’s just so good to be able to relate and have you bring some lessons to the table

it sounds like he would probably have gone through life thus far without one, but a little peek into a psychology textbook would almost definitely lead one to think Spike’s thinking and behavior warrant at least a singular diagnosis if not a couple of comorbid diagnoses. listening to your story illuminates very clear patterns and it’s so sad to think so many people just exist their whole life in that sort of “chronically unstable” space, never getting the help they need. :(

So there’s a lot of uncertainty because of a recent development in our relationship. So I just wanted to say listening to these stories helps me remind myself that even if things get rough, things can still come back around and turn out ok. Thank you for that
Edit: turns out they’ve been cheating on me for all 5 years. I kicked them to the curb and I have never felt better. It took leaving for me to realize what a horrible person they were to me
