Thank you Malini for pointing out some of the great Cretan food. Have been going to Crete for many years and the variety of food and hospitality of the Cretan people never ceases to amaze. Chania is such a special place if architecture and food are high on one's list.
Thanks for the video. I'm going to Crete in a few months. Hope to try some of their delicacies. I've had Raki before from my first Greece trip, but didn't know of a honey raki. Interesting.
@@maliniangelica1 Thanks for recommending Rethymno, but I was actually asking about Chania and Heraklion😉. Although, I don't see why I can't do both. Was this your first travel to Greece?
Super video Malini, thank you. I enjoyed a week in Chania this May and loved it! Shame the market is currently closed but still lots to see and the waterfront is great!
Unfortunately the market is now closed for a couple of years but there are so many good shops to visit , restaurants to go our for diner (best ajay from the touristic places)
I have to admit. After watching every, and I actually mean every single video you've posted. I must admit. You know there are some ways to describe a woman, beautiful or cute etc. You are described in one word without a doubt as Majestic. The way you carry yourself. Your clothing style. Your voice. Complexion. Everything is absolutely divine. When I invision my wife I envision Malini. I mean even the name is of a goddess. Love the content there's a pure essence about you. And I dream of you job! Happy New years 🙏
Hi Malini, I wish you have wonderful new year. I realize that you go everywhere and you test all beautiful testy foods and staring at your cameraman face. I am wondering if your Cameraman tests food or not lol
Hello, I subscribed and I love your videos!!! I’m heading to Crete this June. Want to know we’re you bought your Greek trip outfits as I know it can get very hot in June.
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the videos :) all the outfits I wore are Zara! It does get very hot especially in July/August, June should be more comfortable
MALINI, WHAT IS HOME COUNTRY? YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXCITINGLY BEAUTIFUL, HOWEVER NOT MANY VIDEOS ON THE CHANNEL BUT ALL ARE EXTREAMELY STUNNING AND OUTSTANDING. I REALLY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. WOULD YOU PLEASE LEAVE ME A REPLY?
The food looks amazing. Im such a foodie, and the people seem so friendly. Your dress is beautiful on you, the colour and everything! Where is it from?
Hello! I can’t remember the name but it was in the old Turkish quarter Splantzia and that area away from the tourist port has some good eating places 😊😊
thanks very much for your great video! we love Chania! did you travel from the US (originally) to Greece? if so, did you need to get all your vaccine shots including all of the booster shots? so far, we have only received the first 2 shots and none of the boosters. any idea regarding the requirements to fly to Greece now with regards to covid vaccines. thx very much! blessings!
Thank you! Chania is amazing. I went last year in September when requirements for entry were still pretty strict, I.e. PCR test. I think it’s much more straightforward now and they likely just require proof of vaccination but I’d check about booster and time frames etc on the internet.
Thank you for this lovely video. I want to visit there as soon as possible. By the way Rakı is the national drink of Turkey. And its called rakı, not raki. Loves from Turkey. 😊
First of all learn some history. Because you turks are famous for being uneducated and blind. Raki is a Greek drink. Nothing to do with your country. Furthermore everything your culture has are from the Greeks, Persians, Arabs and Armenians. Don't remember that there are history books about Mongolian cuisine.
@3:57 Guessing from the gestures of the sweet young man of 50 years it seems to me that the "fish" has been becoming more plentiful with some seasonal foreign species polluting the poor locals households with the slime they bring with them.... Alas... the taste is irresistable though... wink wink
All my grand parents birth in chania ( hanya)… they had the biggest lands and biggest oil company there because of greek invasion at first world war we had left everything with empty hands from our motherland…sad, now my family has to visit their own lands with a EU viseum… to make it more clear their surname is kavur (Cavour)…. Funny all world is for the human beings borders only kill and cut the relations between all citizens of the world..
And before your grandparents owns this land you mention, greek people was rulling those fields, until your grandparents conquer the island, leaving the Greeks with empty hands. Creta was greek from the ancient years and in all the centuries the majority of the population was Greek. So,we can say that order was restored... I hope the same will happen in Cyprus and Konstantinoupolis
Crete is Greek from the very beginning! Your gparents were occupiers and most probably stole those fields from the local Greeks! Greece didn’t invade but liberated the island from the occupying Turks! You got what u deserved after years of occupation of our lands, don’t cry now!
How about the blue crab situation… It’s a travesty what the eastern hemisphere is doing with the famed blue crab… An eel ove a blue crab? What rubbish.. 5:25
Malini's videos are full of education. There is some kind of "imbalance" in the videos that others make. For example, Bold and the Bankrupt. The Gentleman came to India, came and started, Eve Teasing in the name of "flirting" with Indian women..! Could he have done in his own country, the same..? in Britain..!? Simply an unprofessional behavior...! There is no touch of professionalism..! Every video of Malini is worth watching, worth learning. Lyra is a violin-like instrument, taught so well by Malini, she is a famous journalist, but, it seems, she is like a "born teacher" how to teach people without hurting their sentiment a little, Malini is an example..! Went to Arabian desert, prepared a video on Bedouin life, how to cover Bedouin life in a short time, for those who want to learn, Malini is an ideal teacher..! Congratulations Malini 🎊
I am from England and have traveled to a lot of places and the food in Crete is the best.
Manolis is an excellent tour guide.

Nice, in which time was this recorded?
Sadly the old market is closed now...
Do you know if there is a different location for the market now?
This was last year in September, no idea if they have a temporary location whilst it’s being refurbed!
There is no new location. It is being renovated. There are many open markets in Chania that you can find fresh fruits and veggies
Can you please provide details about your wonderful guide… he seemed like a good choice. Thank you

I adore Crete and had some of the best times of my life there, but I would have to say, avoid the Raki, it only leads to madness.

Great! Thank you. We are hopefully visiting Turkey in September so we can try some there too 😁
Rakı is not the same as the cretan raki, its more like Ouzo. Cretan raki is a version of Balkan Rakija . The word is a false friend :)
First of all learn some history. Because you turks are famous for being uneducated and blind. Raki is a Greek drink. Nothing to do with your country.
