Greek Street Food - In this full documentary, I'll be taking you on a 72-hour Greek street food tour around Athens.
DAY 1 - We started our Greek street food tour in Athens with an amazing breakfast, Greek yogurt and honey, followed by a visit to the Central market where they sell seafood, meat and lots of delicious Greek food. We continued with a classic Greek coffee, then we went to a traditional local tavern, we also had some incredible Loukumades and ended our first day with an insane beef Souvlaki.
DAY 2 - We started our second day of eating Greek street food in Athens with a traditional pastry called Bougatsa, then we had some Meze and for lunch, we went to one of the oldest taverns in Athens where we had a Greek salad, lamb with potatoes and a Mousakka.
In the afternoon, we had some cold coffee, some fried calamari and pasta with seafood, and then had incredible pork chops and spicy hot salad. We also had a delicious Gyro and some lamb chops accompanied by house wine.
DAY 3 - We started our final day of eating Greek street food in Athens with a pork Souvlaki, followed by a modern version of Loukumades, then we had an incredible meal with several delicious Greek dishes that you definitely must eat on your next trip. We continued our food tour with a couple of pies and a Peinirli and then we went to a village restaurant to have the ultimate meat feast.

At last! Someone who knows how to identify and suggest genuine Greek food. Sick of Americans sampling random dishes in between gyros pittas and calling it traditional Greek cuisine. You really did your homework and suggested places that I'd personally love to visit. As someone who once lived and studied for 4 years in Athens and visited numerous times, thank you ❤!

As a Greek , I have to say this is the best non-Greek food review I've seen. Your man must be Southern Italy, as he has the dark look and will have Hellenic roots somewhere. He tries foods that Westerners won't try and his pronunciation is very, very good. Μπράβο.

While on Peloponnesus at Easter, I woke up wondering what to do and where to eat. Taking my coffee to the balcony, amazing aromas floated up from down below. I looked down to see three spits being turned slowly. I went downstairs with my wife and we got invited to a private party. Never felt more welcome. One spit had lamb, one a suckling pig the third had a stuffed intestine filled with offal and wrapped in bacon. All three were being mopped with olive oil rosemary and lemon. I died and went to heaven on Easter

Just a small friendly correction. At the beginning of the video, I'm quite sure that these were walnuts and not chestnuts as you said. That's how we eat yoghurt as a dessert in Greece, with honey and walnuts.

Athens was such a vibe when we visited last year! Try visit Norman for cocktails, so much better than the commercial "best bars in the world" places! We hit as many food spots as possible so it was nice to see some of those in this video.
I so wanted to visit Lefteris o Politis but the entire area stank of piss and bin juice when we walked past so sadly we got out of there, this was not indicative of Athens as it was such a beautiful place but I have no idea what was happening in that area.

it is impossible that you found them yourself it is certain that someone else took you everything you saw are not tourist traps there are no tourist traps in the center of Athens there are only flavors you really went to the best and I am sure someone else took you thank you for the very nice ride you are one of the best ambassadors for my country as far as street food i have seen till date and believe me its a lot
