I’m 6 foot 165 and I have to tell you comp seats feel like they were molded just for me. I absolutely love them and wouldn’t even consider owning another C8 unless it had them. And I do know other people who are 225+ that love the comp seat, so just because you’re bigger does not mean you won’t like them.
Something else to consider is that the comps will always come with the black center inserts. For some reason on the C8 when you get a lighter color GT 2 seat it always seems to look dirty because of the perforations. It’s really strange how it comes across especially on camera
You’re absolutely correct. I always have to remind people it’s just the perforations and not dirt.
Justin mentioned that he prefers the comp seats as well and he’s a bigger guy. Definitely depends on the person.
I do absolutely love the comp seats. Just like on the C7 they’re the best looking option.

Comp seats even for a lean 165, 5' 11" guy the hip area can get tight. After a while it gets better. If u r fat or out of shape gt1 or gt2 for sure.
Carbon Fiber looks great!!! I like the 2LT with GT2 Seats. No need for 3LT for me, I’m not into the Suede material. 😊
I like both personally but due to cost I went with the 2 LT and other than not being able to have yellow stitching I am happy with my decision.
What many people are saying on the forums is that the GT2 seat sits the highest so that will be my option.
I am not sure. That is possibly true. I couldn’t tell by sitting in them though. But that was the option I chose for my car.

I’ve already placed my order and chose GT2 seats. Mainly because they will be easier to get in and out of the car with, and I’m not a track rat.

For my 2022 2LT, HTC, Jet Black Interior, I went with the GT2 Seats.
I’m not a fan of Alcantara/Microfiber material, so the 3LT with the additional cost eliminated the GT3 Seats.

I hate the gloss anywhere on the interior. I like the comp seat other than that. Overall I think I would have to go with the GT2 seat.

I wish I had the comp seats in my C7. Absolutely love them. The new seats are pretty nice but they seem to wear faster.
I like them, I’ve heard some say GT1 was more comfortable than GT2 and vise versa. For me I HAD to get GT2 in order to get the black seats with yellow stitching I wanted (and I know you wish you’d got 😊), and I had NO WISH to color my own stitching! Had no wish or need for Comp. Seats.

Don’t know about the comfort part but the GT2 seat looks a lot better than the GT1 seat.

Went with the GT 1 and love them. Have all black interior and didn’t want any carbon fibre plus I like the clean look and longer headrest. Also my wife is short and we thought with the opening in the GT 2 it might not be comfortable for her.
You may be right on that with the height. I sat in my friends car with GT1 seats and they were pretty nice.

Jason - Thanks to Corvette World and you for the seat comparison. At 6'5" and 230, there is no way I fit in the GT3 (Comp) seats because of they are so tight and the huge bolsters. Even the GT2 and GT1 seats are a little tight for me as compared to my 19 GS seats. I've noticed that my personal interior / seat room has decreased each model from the C5 to the C7. I find the C8 to be the tightest interior yet. Being on a list for an E-Ray, I will probably have to go with the GT1 seats to give me as much seat room as possible. I also wish the seats would go lower, at least an additional inch, to give me more room. I know that the vast majority of Corvette buyers do not face this issue - lucky me!
Boy, you’re not kidding. You and another sub named Vettesweetnos might be the tallest. He said he’s 6’6”. You guys have me by quite a bit at 5’10”.
A lot of people mention the C8 having a tight cockpit. I kinda like being snug so I guess I don’t even think about it.
I know you guys love the C8, but if you are a bigger guy, you're just forcing it. You won't really enjoy the car, like a pair of shoes that are too tight!!

That’s a good question. I think they’re the same. But you may want to go HTC for more head room.

You know we've had multiple conversations about the varying differences between the seats especially in the GT2 & Comp.
I prefer the Comp seats myself. The base padding is no different between the seats and the additional bolstering and style make them 🔥 IMO 😁

Good, informative video. I might be the tallest biggest guy that fits in a C8 at 6'6" 285. Any taller and you need to be bony or skinny. There are some under 6' guys that weigh more than 350 lbs that fit though. I went with gt2 seats in my Z06.

The comp seats have been flagged by both Car and Driver and Speed Phenom as not supportive enough at track in the Z06, and most likely in the Stingray as well. I have yet to see anyone mod their car with full buckets and harness yet.
That’s surprising because they’re pretty snug. But of course that’s only my experience in just sitting in them in a showroom.
Only reason I did not get the Comp seats on my 3LT is because of the work required to get in and out of the seats. Plus I will not track the car anyway. GT2s are great. IMO a must have if only for the looks. GT1 seats look really bland.
I agree. The look was the main reason I chose the GT2 as well.
Where can I find 2022 C8 Accelerate Yellow & Black seats?
At the moment, not sure. But keep your eyes out for one at Corvette Warehouse.

Duh, the Chevrolet option list states that the GT2 seats use Napa leather.

I believe that depends on trim level. IF you get the GT2 seat in a 2LT I believe it’s Mulan. You only get Napa if you get 3LT.
