Aah, The Woodstock in Killeen, TX! Darrell was always a kind enough soul to sit and have a drink or 3 and make you feel like you were his best friend. Great memories!
They ALWAYS kicked ass. Even this old "glam" stuff still has amazing lead guitars, strong vocals (not the poofy Poison type), and a powerful rthym section. VIVA PANTERA!!!
There never was a live "Nothin' On" video. Bummer..... Also, Terry did just fine... He still plays gigs all over the US & still puts out albums. Check them out sometime!
As always, you are the man. You have the best Dime vids by far on here. I bet you had lots of fun... Hopefully we'll see more, maybe behind the scenes stuff? We can only hope. Rip Dime, Getchya Pull!
pegasuslover97, there are recordings of the Power Metal album with Terry singing...now getting a copy might be tough...those songs, were released with Phile singing, there's even a version of Down Below with Phil's vocals....I'd love to hear the Terry versions...
I remember in the I Am The Night album, there were order forms so you could buy a Pantera (Live) video, and some merch...I wonder if this is some of that video
I would bet you could get them on ebay as well as any old record store that's still around. There's one not far from here that has a lot of rare albums.
@racerx30 pantera actually started out as a glam "metal" band with dimebag and vinnie, it wasn't until around 1990 when they became heavier and got phil in as vocals. they had an album called Power Metal which was basically the transition, then was all heavy from Comboys from Hell and on.
I think Terry has more vocal skills than Phil but that does not assure that PAnterA would reach the top of Metal scene in the 90´s. Some times you need more than tecnic to make ur work seen!
Yes but the "old school" was much better than the "new school". They OWNED before Phil Ansuckmo! Once he joined the descent started, even though they became more successful. Success does not necessarily = good.
the best song from the first album. even better live

Hell yeah, this song got me into Pantera. Glaze Era Pantera is the best.
what an amazing video.
i used to watch them play at the woodstock club in killeen, tx. back in 1984 1985. they were in my opinion better than what they became later.
awesome video.
..wow...for 84 this is kinda par for the course...progression says it all...
Yeah Please keep posting these sweet rare vids
I wonder if that was filmed at Rascals in Arlington. I used to see them play there back in the day, like this vid. Great post.

the best thing is the electric toms on top of Vinnie's drum set :)

They got Phil in 1986.
Wow, I didn't think Pantera was around as long as Metallica. Are these videos underground?
Wow, terry played guitar and sang. i didnt no that
you wont find them, they're out of print
:o)
dude, where do you get all these old school vids??
@enix165 its called a dean Z, dave mustaine has a signature model out called the dean zero
I never knew Terry played guitar...
from what I know, it was a mutual thing, they wanted to go heavier, he tried it, didn't dig it, they split....
u should of asked him to sign a copy of trendkill.
thats weird they have two guitars
talk about a 180
If its so bad than why do doctors prescribe it to patients with medical problems?

im gonna pretend I didnt read that.
maybe buy one.... but dont smoke it. That shits bad for your longs.
*lungs
phil took the cheese out of the metal!
I think Terry is better than Phil. Phil had the agression and havieness that the band was looking for at the end of the 80´s I think.
@sacamedeaca circa 1990 phil was better imho.
