I was there, 16 years old. Went there on my own because i had no metal listening friends. Good memories. Still listening to this 25 years later.
I ama back to my youth )) cheerz to ya all !! I hope to meet ya !!
You absolute legend!!!
Zey must be teached in ze schoolz !!

I was 17 and had metalhead friends but no way to get there to see them. Was very disappointed.
Whenever I see any concert that dates back to the 90's I am blown away, there's something unique about them, they used to pump a lot of energy like if it was their last day on earth, no caring about their tone, their looks or anything just raw power and emotion.
Same about the crowd too... everybody going apeshit, no cellphones on the front row, people living the moment with full passion and energy.
...What’s it like today for you? Could live concerts be a thing of the past soon?
There is something special about it. Lifestyle seemed to be a bit more free back then i remember.
Dynamo that year was something special. Biohazard, Type O Negative, Life of Agony, Machine Head, Fear Factory ,Nailbomb, Paradise Lost etc. Was there. Amazing.
Almost every dynamo show kicked ass back around those times.. Coal chamber put on a killer fuckin show around that time. The way the tempo would change up was great. And the deftones dynamo show. It's a must. Soon as I heard about dynamo I started looking for the live CD'$. Back in 2000
Something I like about this, besides the fucking awesome music, is the fact that there’s no image here. These guys don’t even look like they belong in the same band. Robb Flynn looks like he’s in Cypress Hill, Duce looks like he’s in a Florida death metal band, Logan Mader looks like he belongs in Pantera, and Kontos looks like he plays drums in a hardcore band.
No image, just brutal music.
Yhea..now you got the image and no music.. whats better?
hahaha so accurate love it
there is definitely a metal aesthetic and image here. I think no image would be if everyone was in blue levis and white tees , not everyone looking like theyre in different metal bands.
Just the way it should be
Image has been intrinsically tied to music for literally hundreds of years. The art on the album covers... That's an image for example. The problem is when it's ALL image but no substance to the actual music and performance.
Those drums fills are UNREAL.
Chris Kontos is the MANNNNNNNNN!!!
Burn My Eyes will always be one of my favourite albums ever. This was 20 years ago.....fuck.
+MrBannystar Soooo damn agreeed!!!!
+MrBannystar Me too bud...it has special memories for me. I only ever saw MH once and that was early days, they were supporting Slayer for some gigs in the UK, and I thought they were amazing, it was in Birmingham I think.
+MrKunt Agreed 100%! Nice memories. Was a second row joiner at this concert. Stoned like shit, thanks to Eindhoven´s SuperWeed :) Good ol times at Dynamo in 93, 94, 95 and 96 :)
yeah the production on that album is still some of the sickest i've heard. the drums sound so good on that album.
mine too
4:14 That fucking RIFF! Unreal energy, nothing will ever beat 90s and early 00s Metal shows.
Burn My Eyes is one of the best debut albums in Metal history.
Amen brother
Yes
Fo shizzle
Hell YES!
For as much crap as Robb Flynn gets now ..... this is one incredible album. This one and “Through The Ashes Of Empires” are classics!!!!
The cromags windbreaker is complete fireee 🔥🔥
The bassist is wearing a Meshuggah shirt. I love this video even more now
Robbie O'Neill Meshuggah supported them on this tour. Was insane.
and Marten Hagstrom wears a Machine Head shirt at the same tour :)
Robbie O'Neill meshuggah sucks djent sucks metalcore sucks deathcore sucks all you need is brutal death metal thrash metal and groove metal
All that then ya chuck in 'groove metal' .....the fuck outta here
Listen to meshuggah in that time was more underground than now

+Daniel Carneiro The MVP
+Daniel Carneiro Thank you :D
+MrFlipperInvader782 I dont know, but it is :D
+MrFlipperInvader782 maybe they just played the riffs that later became the song :D
+Daniel Carneiro ya I assume it's an intro they wrote, that ended up becoming Desire to Fire
I still compare hearing Burn My Eyes for the first time as to hearing Vulgar Display of Power for the first time. Game changing.
I'm 52 years old and head-banging to Nation on Fire! Still doing so after all these f***ing years! Insane song that's more insane live!
Best song off Burn My Eyes
@@Tikitackfouls 😎😎
All about that thrash section towards the end of this song
I'm 51. I remember when this came out
This just came up in my recommended list. I WAS THERE !!!! Man was I wasted, haha. Beer, Metal and Friends for four days. I did a few of these festivals back then but this one sticks out for me. This was one of the best weekends of my life.
Damn cool story. Bet it was fucking epic!
Chris Kontos... Best Drummer Machine head ever had, hes the secret behind Burn my eyes success and in some ways machine head success!
Dave McClain was the best drummer they ever had...
Ed Ardon Both are fine drummers. The problem is that, after the first two albums, the band has been all over the place in terms of musical direction. Sadly, the band (which is really now just Robb) has now become a joke of sorts.
🤘🤘🤘
Would have loved to have heard Chris Kontos's Drumming on TMTC, Burning Red, and Through Ashes of Empires...
One of the best dynamo concerts ever held 🤘🤘🤘
One of the worst. Together with Biohazard.
@fredster which would be the best then?
I call 1995 Dyanmos the roadrunner festval because of the pure amount of RR bands that played over the weekend.
Dynamo open air '95 was the best festival ever.. ~135.000 visitors, that's what I call EPIC!
This is real machine head
Machine head 90s relevant band for Nu school of Metal and Hardcore. Machine head today is just an irrelevant standard band

Logan Madder: "Ok..1..2..3...jump!!!Now riff a bit...headbang...1..2..3..jump!!!!..kk..got this shit...riff a bit...1..2..3....jump!!!!....
Fucker always seemed too damn organized.
fireflyry Dude has energy I'm surprised he can still jump for his age
25 years after this concert and still as good
This concert is even better because of the sheer energy.
The chorus riff in “None But My Own” is one of the hardest riffs in the universe. It punches you so fucking hard! I’ve given myself many headaches, and probably killed a few brain cells, over the years head banging to that shit. And I’ll never stop. I’ll be 80 in an old folks home, and they’ll threaten to kick me out because I’m punching the walls while blaring that song.
By far my favorite song by them becuase of how nasty and crushing that riff is with that heavy tone. Gives me stank face every time.
I love this gig. They sure had a lot of energy back then.
xyko74 they’re pumped with energy now mate haven’t you been to one of there recent gigs? Especially the ‘evening with’ for 50 year olds playing 3 hours of pure anal poundage is impressive
They just played in Denver 3 nights ago for fucking 3 hrs. People were literally dropping
The Calico Kid Is Denver the best place to live in America?
ksylo I guess.... that's why everybody's moving here right?
The Calico Kid Perhaps you're right, I'm from Volgograd Russian city, it's awful place
Burn my eyes was by far their best album.
Sunny Leddford the blackening wasn't that bad, found that album to be the one i mostly listen to.
+Sunny Leddford Totally their best.
Fuck yeah. What a time the 90s was for metal and music in general. Pantera, Sepultura, Machinehead, Metallica, all at the top of their game around this time.
Would agree but not by far, The More Things Change was frickin amazing
your an idiot @@martyg8137
Chris was the best drummer they ever had, Rage to Overcome intro with that riff, KILLER
Nothing better than seeing a band really feeling something they poured themselves into and they know is good
Still their best line-up to this day. Kontos and Mader are gods
This is why groove metal is my favourite genre....
One of the best live performances I’ve seen in 40 years of watching metal. Energy and passion is exuding all members. Funny how bands start like this before fame hits. Seems effortless because the hunger and drive is like at no other time in a career. Reminds me of Metallica when I saw them on their first national tour. Just blew our ass away with all the attitude of a metal band!
Too many bands after a few big albums & tours make money like they never saw & get complacent, lose the drive that gave them that burning fire & energy and they're never the same. One of the rare exceptions is Slayer.
@@rustykuntz94 pantera fué agresivo de principio a fín

Welcome back Chris and Logan, see you fuckers in Manchester! CRRRUUUSSSSHHHHHHH
I fell asleep listening to this and had a dream I was actually there ahahah shit was dope
then you awoke to....this shithole of a world huh? lol
hahhahahah yeah
Haha, fucking nice
I watch this concert often, and often happens that I fall asleep. I love BME but that decadent, negative 90s sound makes me fall asleep somehow lol
That's why I fall asleep to porn lol
Back when logan looked like dimebag darrell now he looks like Chris Barnes
Yeah dude
I. Liked this band
And the bassist looks like jerry cantrell (Alice in chains)
His dreads are fake. And he doesn't look like a washed out alcoholic, either.
jay 99 he looks like a pussy now
Chris's snare sound was on point this show!
Nu metal style
12:25 this bit has always been one of those masterstrokes in metal that you rarely find these days
This is the best shit it puts, smile on my face pure aggressive energy they believe in there music so much everyone in band giving 110% Thanks machine head
Gnar Gnar Bo Bo lmao dayum
No joke. This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been banging since the 80’s.
I wish they released it officially as DVD and CD. One of the best gigs captured on camera ever.
The only Machinehead lineup that mattered!!!
Dudes literally did plyometric workouts at every concert in the 90s
Hands down, THE heavy festival of the 90's. So much talent and new energy it was ridiculous...no has-beens, no legacy acts, just pure hunger and innovation.
Robb is literally max cavalera and Phil anselmo mixed
was*
Never
He wish
Hahaha
Dude, have you even heard Max and Phil?! Judging by that stupid comment, i strongly doubt that! Phil alone would have killed Robb with his voice back in mid 90's.
Just as I was thinking "man, Robb couldn't _be_ more nineties with his corn rows and rap metal!" and then I look up again to see he's removed his jacked and is wearing a Reservoir Dogs shirt.
Damn, this has been a quick 22 years. The next time I look up from a screen, I'll probably be dead.
And what about that little Wu Tang tribute? Too bad time never stands still huh..
youv got to be kidding. I know what this is realy about. your doing phils dirty work.least this guy is sober
brilliant :-)
Haha
@@steventate2821 And look how the tables have turned. Because Phil made a mistake, owned the fuck up to it, apologized, and walked the walk. Got sober, and now is better than ever.
Robert on the other hand got drunk in his boost of morality, and a holdier than thou attitude, put up an absolute MEDIOCRE at best record, and calls everyone who doesn't like it a White Supremasist. Then Rants about being bullied about it, when he took the chance to bully anselmo to no end when he got the chance, not just him, others along him, Scott Ian was on that wagon too.
10:50 rob rockin heavy MethodMan lyrics , shaolin hardcore thrash shit!

Best comment by far on a MH video
Awesome! The singer and drummer are wearing Cro-Mags windbreaker.
You cant deny the power of young Machine Head, although i do not dislike their current lineup, i just like this original lineup better, thanks for being Machine Head!!!!
My favourite performance from these guys. The sound is so fucking brutal...I want this on a CD to blast in my car all fucking year
so record a cd
Those guitars are rippin' shit, for reeal
- hells yeah....I saw them for this tour and the Ten Ton Hammer tour...fuckn' brutal pit filled with rivet-heads and hell-rats....so much chaos and energy at a Machine concert.
@shoot1 My idea, i can listen to this every time of the day. I was 15 at the time and had bought 2 tickets, but the parents of my friend forbid him to go. so I had to sell them..... going alone at 15 years old was a little too much at the time...
But I was in Munster, Germany, a few months ago and met a woman who was at Dynamo and saw Machine Head.
I said, you're my hero, you wanna marry me? But she said whe was so stoned, she couldn't remember it.......

Damn, how old are you, guys?
Love how in the middle of A Thousand Lies Robb does a verse from Wu-Tang Method Man
Even that sucked you idior
That album is a master piece, intense, powerful, uuuff tremendous...
Burn My Eyes and The More Things Change; just those 2 albums for me...
exactly
that meshuggah longsleeve is too sick
For that time
Lucas I have that long sleeve, my dad went to this show. Unfortunately I wasn’t born yet. But it’s still cool to have that shirt
i wish i could find one of those NONE longsleeves
Dynamo Open Air in the early 90's was like the Woodstock of metal .
Love the primitive intro from desire to fire there. Obviously later developed into the full song.
I saw them open for Slayer on this tour and they were awesome. They hung out after the show too and signed stuff. Really, really cool guys.
Slayer should of been opener
Prophecy , Machine Head and Slayer in San Bernardino. 🤟🏼
Hahaha at 33:00 a guy runs on stage and Robb tries to stop him getting thrown off stage. What a guy.
He even lets him stay at the stage
petelard that’s so awesome
33:15
TheJustJoshing duuuuude in how many videos i have seen one of your comments
I lost the count
Its awesome and everything, but it can be dangerous. Robb unfortunately with the rest of us, saw that play out with Dime.
It’s crazy to me that they can flail around like that and still play so tight… it’s insane.
No dress code, no audiovisuals, no expensive floorboards and guitars, no drama, no bullshit. Just four guys in everyday's dress playing fucking Metal. Guess why the 90's were awesome.
still prefer this machine head
has their line up changed a lot? what are you referring to exactly?
MeersalzGrob yeah.. Can't believe they replaced that drummer and everything else they sound.. That was the fucking shit
Dave Mclain is a great drummer but Chris Kontos was unique as fuck and so they were. I also like through the ashes and blackening but the last two albums have not been my kind of music.
Chris didn't want to be part of the band. It wasn't the band that has to be blamed for firing him. The guy didn't want to tour with them and always was making excuses to stay off tour. They did the most conscious decision by firing him.
i love the most recent, but unto the locust was meh
All my respects for Rob Flynn and Machine Head!!! HEavy since the beggining!
it was good to see bands like this, pantera , life of agony, type o netagive, prong and many more were to carry the metal through the early to mid 90s who were all part of the new wave of American heavy metal
ah tomy victor said nothing when sadam killed millions. with gorge sorros backing he is brave. will mr victor speak out against phil from pantera or will he go with the flow like a real rebal.

i thought im not machine head fan, this video made me changed my mind.
one of best live performances i watched
...*SLOOOOOOW*
Officer: You know why i pulled you over.
Rob: Oh i'm sorry i was driving very SLOWWWW!
Always come back to this performance... THIS IS MACHINE HEAD.
I was there.
Dynamo 95 Eindhoven Airbase. It was the festivals 10th anniversary, 120.000 metalheads, and my first festival, I was 17 years old.
Tiamat, My Dying Bride, Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, Type O, Nailbomb, Machine Head and Biohazard ... good times!
Naturally we went every year after that. In '96 they gave away a kick ass giant poster (showing the entire '95 festival site from the air) if you were willing to collect one bag of trash.
Poster still hangs in my hallway, and it will do so until I die.
19 at the time and also present!
Wanted to go as much to the front of the stage as possible ! There I noticed more room to stand!! Then machine Head started,, my first Pitt experience!!!!!WTF
Best Machine Head live set ever recorded!! Kontos on the fucking drums, a shame that he left the band!! Golden era....
They were a different type of monster back then and I love every second of it.
Yeah...a bad music monster...ppffftttt...what a poser band this was
These guys are really good at jumping!
I still come back to this! Miss this time!

Rob and Adam tore this shit up across America on this tour...Opening up for Slayer I might ad... Was EPIC!! Yes, I ended up in jail that night... Never forget... Neither will the judge... Ahh... the memories...
Haha same in Europe supported by Meshuggah. Robb gave a young 15 yr old Scottish boy his first shot of whisky at a signing while we discussed how awesome meshuggah were.

“one, two, fuck this place up!” No one hits this hard anymore.
Rob looks like a character from the movie Training Day!
Hey, almost forgot this band used to be musically relevant! Good shit.
Maul Pasvidal Excuse me? The Blackening is one of the most critically acclaimed Metal albums of the 21st century.
IndianaJoel93 Could be, but it doesn't even compare to burn my eyes. IMO the blackening sounds bland and generic. Morever, I think their sound has diluted over the years. That's just me though. Feel free to enjoy whatever you like!
Your an idiot
+Ard s what a load of bull shit, I'm so god damn sick of hearing "bland and Generic" as the reason for people disliking stuff it doesn't hold any water what so ever just a way for you and all these other dumbasses who can't accept that some new music might just be better than older music to justify not liking something, Through the ashes, Blackening, Locust and even Bloodstone and Diamonds technically speaking are all miles ahead of burn my eyes, they are far more varied in style and songs too. All of Burn My Eyes is Drop C and C# heaviness, not to say that's bad but saying the blackening is bland while saying Burn my eyes isn't despite all of the songs sounding more or less the same in tone is completely stupid. Try taking off your nostalgia goggles for 5 minutes you might stop being a douche and actually enjoy something.
+JoRdOguitarman1 But it is bland and generic. Their last 5 albums are no where near as heavy as the first 3. Sure they're more technical now, but there's so many better technical deathmetal bands that I don't even listen to MH anymore. They blend in around average. At least when they were playing heavy shit they were top notch, and relevant.
Had to have been a banger of a show. Sounded kickass. Great job on the video. This was back when Rob Flynn didn't talk the whole fuckin' set in between lyrics in the songs.
Saw them in Santa Cruz, CA.
Awesome show.
