EDIT: To those trying to correct me about the AK animation being wrong. My exact words while this clip was playing were "Some of them may not look particularly great." I was literally pointing out this animation being bad.
What a throwback for my long time viewers. I can't explain how much I love terrorist hunt. Thanks all of you for watching me over on twitch! If you want to join me Mon-Wed for Vegas 2, come give a follow! www.twitch.tv/jarek4gamingdragon
hi
Don't give 'em clear shot! Aim for their leader! Aim for the head!
Those terrorist hunt guys were funny, but their bullets meant business.
Great vid jarek, I always found the ragdoll in this being so bad it was good😂. Quick suggestion, but would u consider playing Turok evolution, I found it wid my old xbox the other day and it brought back a lot of memories. Keep up the good work
Jerek you are so right about this game I loved this game and its sequel I still play till this day can't wait for next week and keep the content coming it makes my day seeing your videos on my screen thanks man much love
I figure you’re probably gonna play rainbow six Vegas 2 next, but when you get the chance, maybe try some of the older ghost recon games. I heard great things about them, but don’t have a pc so never played them
I got to admit that in some situations, terrorist hunt turns into a low-key horror game, and I loved it.
Playing on a large map with only one terrorist left and no teammates got my heart pounding out my chest, and I'm not sure what was scarier, if you could hear him talking from across the map or complete silence
LVU on the hardest difficulty using the bell exploit and watching both doors....
@@talleywa5772 you just unlocked memories i didn't know i had, thanks !
@@talleywa5772 good times
I just played this for the first time TODAY and I tried out terrorist hunt and as I was trying to use the snake cam on a door a terrorist whipped the door open and insta killed me. 10/10
Me and my friend used to play this game so much we knew where every enemy was located how to execute certain entryways this game was beyond addictive I wish they still made the style of game
The Xm26 is a semi automatc design made into a bolt action over relibilty issues, by the time this game was made the gun was still being experimented on as a semi. The company making the gun gave up, cut their losses, and then somehow managed to weasl a fancy goverment contract out of making it a bolt action.
I've never found anything that says the M26 was originally semi auto
The M26 was also adopted because soldiers wanted underbarrel shotguns, hence why they were strapping pumps to the end of their guns
@@demanischaffer it's old design that they were working on since the early 90's, the contract they were trying to get has been out since the vietnam war, and remained unfulfilled until now even though the m26 still has massive issues, and it's current role is just a glorified door breaker.
@@DARKthenoble A door breaker is literally the whole reason why people were putting short barrel shotguns under their guns
Also what contract? I've found nothing that indicates the M26 was part of a program or a contract, especially one from the 60's
@@demanischaffer It was in vietnam that they were strapping pumps to their gun, the military doesn't do that anymore, because for some reason they view shotguns as completely useless, when they are far more useful in cqc then a rifle that can't pen lvl 4 body armor. IN vietnam they would take the stock off cut down the barrel wire it up against the rifle, and back then because slam fire was a thing, if they wired up the trigger, all you had to do was push the handguard forward on the shotgun and it would go off. It wasn't exactly entirely safe for someone to do, but because it was something that was quite effective in vietnam, they put out the contract thinking private companies would find a better solution to the problem. After the Vietnam and Korean war you ran into the ban on slamfire shotguns, that kinda kicked Remington, and Ithaca out of the whole market for a bit, leading to mossberg picking up the space in the vacuum. Granade launchers use to have a solid shot round used for breaching things, but that turned out to be too expensive, so for a time they switch to a small removable insert that let them shot 12 guage out of it. However, that didn't meet the requirements to fill that contract, so all the way up until now it was never officially fulfilled, and with no one else offering competition the m26 is finally being put in service for better or worse after being stuck in over 10 years of development hell.
The M26-MASS had been in development at the U.S. Army's Soldier Battle Lab since the late 1990s. The idea was to provide soldiers with lightweight accessory weapons which could be mounted underbarrel of the standard issue M16 rifle or M4 carbine. These would provide soldiers with additional capabilities, such as: door breaching using special slugs, very short-range increased lethality using 00 buckshot, and less-lethal capabilities using teargas shells, rubber slugs, rubber pellets, or other non-lethal rounds.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M26_Modular_Accessory_Shotgun_System
It's honestly a complete piece of shit, that being thrown out there by idiots who didn't understand the sunk cost fallacy.
@@DARKthenoble "doesn't do that anymore"
Because now the MASS is issued....
So the need to cut down shotguns like it's Vietnam, or buying short barrel shotguns to attach to guns has been replaced by the MASS which can be used standalone like a normal shotgun, or underbarrel like a short barrel shotgun.
The idea that the Military views shotguns as useless seems to be based on nothing
Considering that all branches of the Military are still issuing shotguns.
I'm also not sure about your claim of a slam fire "ban"
As Slamfire is perfectly legal, however the safety of it is questionable, with Remington shotguns still being in US inventory
So the M-26 started in the *late* 1990's and was in testing and limited usage till around 2008 when mass adoption
For a weapons adoption, there are many replacement and adoption attempts that take much longer
I like the mentionin of performance problmes in every review, it lets us know what to do if we eant to get it
I remember playing this game as a kid on Realistic, i thought the first level in Mexico was really fun. Then i couldn't even get past the first section of the level on The Strip.
Really liking yer wallpaper man. Dergans be hot creatures, figuratively ;)
I've never seen such a large man sized ventilation in a game. Who though this was a good idea?lol
Check out 007 Nightfire, that game was my childhood.
This is probably the only comment section where Vegas receives love.
Siege players don't even know R6 used to be a series.
Old Rainbow players believe Vegas is too casual and less tactical compared to the original Trilogy.
Because Ubisoft touch things whats not broken
My favorite rainbow six game is still vegas it was the first one I played and I have played the others and I still love vegas.
Its like Hitman blood money, its riddled with bugs and its considered the best
The sequel is sooo good but i love the original as well. If the first just had an easier mode it would be funner imo.
We need a revival of accessible tactical shooter like this, instead of the multiplayer focused hero shooter/lootbox machines of these past years
Hopefully Timesplitters Rewind releases in the decade
@@mariano98ify I think Ubisoft is going to just pump out another open-world or multiplayer-focused title by the way they've been since mid-2010s
Closest I've seen in recent years was Wildlands. But that was third person unless you were aiming down sights.
As far as I remember correctly, closest games are probably Ready or Not or Ground Branch.
@@Armordude91122Cute Or Zero Hour.
I loved Vegas 2, but I'm a sucker for character customisation. They had some sick stuff in there.
The character customization was jaw dropping at the time. Also the leveling system for unlocking gear was amazing and remains one of my favorites of all time. It was so damn satisfying unlocking things
I totally agree. I loved the snow camos in this game and used to play so much terrorist hunt to unlock new gear
I was playing some 4 player terrorist hunt the other day with some random 3 player clan teammates lol. Bought it a few months back at gamestop for like $2.49. Good game.
I spend a lot of time playing terro hunt split screen on my xbox360 with my brother. It was a lot of fun. It was amazing how many guns were there to unlock and how nice you could make your character look. Also it had my favorite map from R6 3 - Presidio
@@Grom-rl8bm The amount of customization is even jaw dropping today, Most games dont even get this far with paywal cosmetics!
I mostly remember the spas-12 in this game. I think like 90% of my deaths were related to the NPCs and a spas-12
The infamous spas ninjas
Don't forget that part in Mexico with the shotgunners in the mines. I don't know how I got past that part without dying on my first playthrough.
I remember thoroughly enjoying these Vegas videos. Your Loltages are still hilarious to this day.
Yeah
The game looks horrible lol but I adored this game. I loved the first person to third person cover transitions. I want that gameplay style back
2006 was a simpler time. If a game was fun, that's it. No more needed, it's worth playing.
I agree, i dont think people know wot fun is enymore. Its all about that battle pass grind nowa days.
@@conanholmes8620 if you feel like that take a break and start playing with a new focus
For a moment I thought you were Desinc
@@nimaabbasi1459 this is good advice as i do this my self very often with the games i love the most but the context i ment my comment in was i feel the alot of people play games with battle pass types of systems in place to get that feeling of "accomplishment" as i did wen i was younger too, where is the topic of older games (ps3 and xbox 360 era) had alot more genuine fun in them even if they was a buggy mess.
Ok boomer
"It's the ugliest, buggiest game I've ever played. Why it's so good?"
* check Recommended videos and see videos about Bethesda *
coincidence?
"It's incredibly difficult to tell whether someone is above you below you or on the same floor" some things never change lmao
Good God the audio in siege is something else.
The enemy spawn is pretty unpredictable. But if you played one one map a lot, you know where they will spawn but still smoke + heat vision = true savior
Lol right?
“Come out come out wherever you are,” will haunt me for the rest of my life.
He's dead, we're f*cked!
The Rainbow Six: Vegas games are the reason why i dont consider R6:Siege as a good game.
Rianbow Six should be Tactical shooter like Brothers in Arms or SW Republic Commando
I think that's a stupid comment. R6 siege is a great game, its just not a good Rainbow 6 game.
@@elk3407 exactly.
Siege is the way it is because it was meant to be a esports game.. thats why its so diffrent from other r6 games
Siege is fun but I enjoyed Vegas much more, the maps and the 3rd person cover mechanic made it unique.
AIM FOR THEIR LEADER
Shit! I heard something, i need you to go, cHeCk iT oUt!!!
Even you are alone without your squadmates, they still saying it lol especially in terrorist hunt mode + i play vegas 2 only
@@兽Arufisu same
Also Marcello (or Marcelo?) had a lot of friends in the terrorists because they keep saying they want payback for Rainbow killing him!
CHAAARGE!
I really wish they’d remaster Vegas 2 with updated weapons gear etc
Jarek "oh and as a reminder you die in one, two, three shots"
Especially against the SPAS-12 which has always seemed to of sniped people from across the room when in the hands of the AI and without any chance of retaliation.
Lmfao i remember that, especially in Vegas 2 Montreal mission.
Cursed Hawkins My friends and I call it the Spas12 sniper rifle because people could pick you off from the other side or the map when it had a rifle scope on it
Of*
@@shawnkelsey6224 Ok I make a meme out of that when it happens because in my opinion its funny to get a kill like that with a shotgun.
You can turn the shotgun to a sniper anyway lol the range is insane of course and lesser spread
Most people using it with scope on in terrorist hunt
These games squeezed many hours out of me growing up with the 360. Something about the customization, coop modes, and campaign kept me coming back even in 2020!
Same!
Me too
There is no good gamesanymore
I spent a crazy amount of hours playing new Vegas 2 on 360 back in the day, I remember doing all the terrorist hunt missions with friends so many times was amazing, remember shitting our pants so many times when we downloaded the night maps and having a terrorist jump scare you around a corner 🤣 sadly I remember I was playing Vegas 2 when news of Tom Clancy’s death came out.
Funnily enough, I was also playing Vegas 2 when that news popped
This is the reason i dont play siege, siege is not rainbow six to me but this is, love this game.
Siege used to be R6 in season one... Then it changed
@@Jgvideophoto i pre ordered siege too and was hoping to play its story mode but it got cut from the game, i think the story trailer is still on youtube...
@@conanholmes8620 do you mean R6 Patriots? Separate story-based game that was cut in favour of Siege.
@@Jgvideophoto i think you could be right mate, its been a while.
Siege was great in the early years of it. Now it’s unrecognizable.
Can you imagine if they remastered this from the ground up. Co op story mode, multiplayer, customize your own agent I mean damn this was the whole package, by far one of the top tactical games of its time.
Only played the PSP version back in middle school. Entertained me on schoolbus rides when I didnt wanna be social at all lol. It was pretty awful and I knew it even back then but still loved it
Lvu campus team sharpshooter for 20 minute non sanctioned clan matches back in the day for the 360. We played 7 on 7 with no explosives to where it became the norm. No GPS and no XM shotgun. Those were the days.
Recommend checking out Swat 4 for more in depth squad managing and its bit more harder than Rainbow six vegas but still good
@Withnail yeah but Swat is bit easier than Rainbow six 3 from my expirience
Shit, yeah! SWAT4 and Raven Shield were my jam!
I still play Vegas 2 terrorist hunt with friend of mine 😂
I remember when my uncle passed away, he had this game in a stack of other games, along with Vegas 2, and i LOVED this game.
I remember playing this years ago on the 360. For a game of its time the weapon variation and character customisation was the best of the time. Major nostalgia
Is anyone going to mention how good the main menu themes were? Especially in 2, it was chilling to say the least
Honestly Vegas 2 was my favourite and I remember when siege came out and I was mad when it was a different genre, I think if they remastered the game or released a new Vegas it would do great in today’s video game ecosystem with games like squad
Vegas 1 was better ad calypso casino
I remember in the dante theatre having this bug when I was supposed to hack a server and the enemies destroy it, the mission failed and it load me back to the checkpoint, but the server was still destroyed and I didn't have any option to hack it again so I have to play the game from the beginning
I wonder how I've never encountered hardly any big bugs in the hundreds of hours I've played this?
I would love to see a remaster of these games, or another one entirely. I like Siege, but I would rather have a fun single player experience.
Loved this game. Didn't play terrorist hunt much but I played multiplayer allllll the time. So much fun. Loved just goofing off, hiding in the bathroom with the whole team cracking up while the other team was just running around looking for us
My issue with the cover system is one of realism. When actually taking cover, you wouldn't put your back against it because the time it takes to bring your gun forward is time you would die. I actually think one game that really got cover systems right was Killzone 2.
That being said, definitely loved this game and wish we got more tactical shooters these days.
One main issue I have with the Vegas plot is the fact that the game takes place over the course of a single night (late afternoon in Mexico to early morning at the Dam). The previous games had plots that take place over a period of months as the team needs to investigate the bad guys. The Vegas plot just didn't have much time to breathe.
Vegas 2 is one of my favorite shooters of all time, it’s honestly a shame we’ll never get a game like it from Ubisoft ever again
Calling this "the best worst game" is a misunderstanding, considered it's one of the stepping stones for one of the greatest games of all times. It's also a great game considered it has a 9.5/10 score on pretty much any page, review and score-wise. And graphics don't really matter for RS:Vegas
It definitely isn't a misunderstanding as you left this comment before watching the video.
Dude your so right, on the rooms where you couldn't enter without insta dying i used 'send in the clowns'... some how your team mates turned into 80s action heros killing everyone, like Chuck Norris or something :-D
It's funny seeing the xm26 and xm8 beside each other knowing that somehow the m26 made it being garbage and xm8 didn't due to hk design hell
The Colt M416 is in the next game. Colts take on the HK416, which is now actually adopted by US armed forces. (Well Marine corp anyway)
Teufel Jaeger What? No, "M416"is just a renaming of the H&K 416 to avoid copyright issues. And the Marines have the H&K M27, it's just an HK416 with a heavier barrel and a few other changes. It is not "Colt's take on the HK416". It is not designed by Colt or manufactured by Colt.
@@mrpirate6187 no sorry I was uniformed on the M416. And what I meant was the HK416 was adopted by the MC. Its not just a heavier barrel its 16.5 inches aswell. I use it a decent amount
The Singapore Navy uses XM8s actually
This game got overshadowed by Modern Warfare despite having superior mechanics imo and I wish future game developers had taken less cues from CoD and used RSV as a template instead, it's a shame the series only had two entries. And the graphics ain't even that bad.
Vegas 2 is probably my favourite ever game just for the hours and hours of pure fun it gave me.
I would play this game with my friends back in high school. One of those games we'd play until like 3am in the morning at sleepovers.
ive lived in Vegas for the longest i can remember. the first time i played this i always had a smile on my face seeing some places ive seen countless times.
I remember playing the pre-release demo for this game and being amazed by how explosions and gunfight would mess up the whole room in such a cool way. My only major complaint was that terrorist hunt seemed to spawn enemies around you as you played, making long range weapons pointless and sometimes spawning a dude with a shotgun right behind you.
Also, I can remember some enemy dialogue from heart:
[After you kill an enemy] "Fuck! Bitch owed me money."
[After an ally shouts "cover me!"] "No, fuck you! You cover me!" [runs towards enemy fire]
We played the shit out of this game in the college dorms back when it came out!
Hello Jarek! Not sure if you can see this but at @7:11 to 7;25 about how fast you can (and will) die there is an entry in the Rainbow Six page taken from Tvtropes about an 'Instant Death Radius' that I think partially explains this.
In all the games in the RS series, "if an enemy shoots you at point-blank range, it's an instant kill. This is even true in Lockdown and Vegas, where you could otherwise take several hits before dying. You don't benefit from a similar bonus when shooting enemies at point blank range."
This could easily be why 'Spas Ninjas' are so damn deadly along with their aimbot skillz.
I remember playing this game and vegas 2 . I didn't enjoy the first one, well because I was 6 years old. Though I did enjoy the 2nd game and even with all it's problems I also enjoy Siege and occasionally watch pro tournaments.
This was my favorite game, I remembering burning the disc from how much me and my brother in-law played it 😂😂😂😂
I grew up with rainbow six and host recon games, now the former is a sweaty s#tshow and the other is a discounted gta. I miss those days. Waiting for the vegas 2 video!
Hey, can you do the Brothers in Arms series? I would really love to see those games in your videos
Yes! I love this game, I used to play this game on 360. During 2008, I used to play the casino map all the time, I was only 11 and I loved this game because it was so different from Cod. I had 98 in my name so all the old folk were kind to me 🤣
People always say that a difficult game is the “darks souls” of that genre. Fuck that, in my experience those games should be called the “Rainbow Six Vegas” of that genre because Jesus Christ I’ve never died more in any other game.
Still love it though
Oh my god this was a good part of my childhood
I loved co-op campaign... I really enjoyed unlocking guns when I played it. Could you do that in Terrorist Hunt?
Jarek can you please make Cry of Fear Analysis its one of best gold source mods i ever played, but its survival horror game not FPS , but it has good graphics, good Story, even guns are looking cool and they have good animations as well
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is great tho
God i miss this game. In my top 5 for sure. The online was so much fun and I just loved playing Calypso Casino foreeeevvvvvveeerrrr haha. Fuck it was good
This game proper “nostalgia trapped” me, I remember loving it with an absolute passion.. but forgot how god awful janky and punishing it could be..
but mainly it was the dirty arse colour scheme I’d forgotten.
Man I remember staying up on Saturday nights playing Vegas 2 on 360 when I was like 16 in high school. Great times. The progression system was incredible until you max out and everyone is running around in neon pink camouflage.
I didn’t watch the video yet but new Vegas is a amazing game and idc what anyone else says
New vegas isn't even the topic of this video and I literally praised this game all video. This is why you watch before commenting lmao
Still the best shooter i've ever played and still playing terrorist hunt
LVU Campus was the best. I still remember the line and tactics I would use to get through it and then trying to adapt when the weird AI does something different or spawns somewhere else.
We would do challenge runs where we would all spec and one guy would try to clear it with a pistol.
I played this game so much as a kid on 360, watching this brings back so many memories
Playing r6 vegas in Spanish is a whole other level of hilarious you want to keep hearing the terrorist conversations through the snake cam
Rainbow 6 Vegas was the first game I ever played online when I got xbox live and it blew my mind. Attack and Defend on Calypso Casino is still one of my favourite map/game mode combinations ever
Bruh my friend and I would get real high and do terrorist hunt back in high school
Shit was amazing
Good memories of Vegas 1 & 2. My big gripe with them was that your weapon took up almost a third of the screen in first person mode. Sucked when the enemy popped up from the right side of the screen.
I was obsessed with this game back in the day, and It was the only multiplayer game I was ever good at.
I love how you specifically mentioned the XM-26 LSS. I didn't know it was actually bolt action IRL. It's a good day when you learn something new.
Admittedly, the one reason I'm trying to get another copy of Vegas 1 is BECAUSE the XM-26 has a MUCH faster ROF than Vegas 2. And the terrorist hunts are (no pun intended) a blast with it.
I really hate that you can't run though.
And, Vegas 2 does it even better. But how each gun feels completely different, is a testament to how great this shooter is. Truly top tier on that aspect.
I remember entering a tournament for this game and got absolutely obliterated.
Was elite 3 times I miss this game had fun playing it everyday after school
I have put sooooo many hours into the Rainbow Six series, Vegas 1 specifically. Don't get me wrong, I love Vegas 2 and feel like that it was much better gameplay wise, but I spent more time in the first Vegas game. Great video, by the way.
Lmao, I remember playing the game back in the day. My friend and I would talk about how t-hunt really taught you the game. Even glitches on mp maps were inspired by buggy ai. My least favorite was casino vault. The door by horseshoe entering offices had a small room that you could glitch into the ceiling and were invulnerable but could still kill other players.
I remember when Vegas came out and the RB community breathed a sign of relief after the god awful RB Lockdown
12:58 iirc throwing a smoke/flash grenade and letting your team do the killing worked just fine for me. however, you're right about normal mode being too easy and hard mode kinda unfair sometimes
This game was just so badass. I have vivid memories of playing through the Casino map for hours on end in multiplayer/terrorist hunt. Great times. Not to mention the amount of times I had to quickly rush to the remote to turn the game down if my mom came down so she didn’t hear some of the stuff that the characters would say 😂
My one issue with this game is it was the the final nail in the coffin for the old style of Rainbow Six games. Lockdown was an experiment. Critical Hour was a necessary evil. Vegas was an amazing game that made it clear we were never going to see the old style of Rainbow six again.
It was the final nail in the coffin for the series as Vegas 2 was the final game (Siege never existed)
"The game can be buggy at times." Yeah, i'd say that's pretty typical of a Ubisoft game.
Vince Gilligan would have us believe it's just covered in a Sepia filter.
JAREK! cover shell shock nam 67 🤘🤘
Vast majority of games (good, bad, new, retro) are just not balanced / playtested for its highest and lowest difficulties. As a rule of thumb even when I want a challenge, I stay away from highest difficulties. It is a shame, but it is kind of a standard pattern in gamedev
This point kind of doesn't matter with vegas. There are only two difficulties, normal and realistic. It's a tactical shooter and realistic was the intended difficulty setting.
Still love this game. Nice to see someone else still enjoys it!
You're a great YTber
This was my shit in high school (25 now) and man was the Interview on point I remember it being super fun but man was it ugly
Am I crazy? Or was that Cyanide I was hearing?
The first thing my big brother said when he saw me playing this game was WOW.
I’m so glad to see so many people still love these games! I still play Vegas 2 to this day, grinding my way to Elite on pc now after doing it on both consoles. Terrorist hunt is the only part worth playing, gets some friends, grab a beer or a joint and you are going to be up for hours laughing with your mates. I would say skip the first game though, the second really added a lot of quality of life issues within the game, for example sprinting. Thanks for the nostalgia Jarek. Looking forward to Vegas 2 next week. What time are you streaming it?
One of my favourite levels from this game had to been the theatre level
Also 12:43 I remember losing my my mind because of that damn machine gun
I played the hell out of this & especially Vegas 2 back in the 360 days, completely agree about the difficulty spikes & cheap deaths. The SPAS-12 enemies would drop you with one shot before you even knew what happened. I finished that campaign on realistic mostly by abusing the smoke grenades & letting the AI teammates do alot of the room entries.
Terrorist hunt was so much fun as well, I don't know how many hundreds of hours I played with my friends between both Vegas games. Although sometimes it would literally spawn guys out of thin air next to you which was a guaranteed death. I love Siege but the T-hunt in that game isn't half as good as Vegas.
I've been putting a TON of hours into this game for the last 2 weeks trying to trailblaze the terrorist hunt speedrunning scene so I was almost giggling like a schoolgirl once you got to TH in the last 4 minutes. Not too long ago I made a comment on an old library video of yours about how one map has 70 terrorists on high density and I think you referenced it at 16:00. The only thing is the map is wartown, not warzone XD. Great video, great points, and I hope that this video encourages people to play the game again, I'd love to get some co-op terrorist hunt going in the online which is somehow still on after 14 years.
I’ll play it w you on live
I uploading my face for my character model and being floor for how realistic it looked at the time. Even when the game was being messy, as soon as I hit cover and saw my complexion I’d be so enamored I’d forget all the problems I was having.
9:25 I was playing this and encountered the same thing and I’d really enjoy an isolated clip if anyone can get one
Still have a ps3 copy...played it alot...
