    Awesome lessons. But, so far, I've held off from buying it - the product looks raw. But I still hesitate... raw, but acceptable for a modest investment for development. I'll probably still buy it )))) One more drink and I'll definitely buy it ))

    This is impressive and a notable achievement with a highly affordable software application. Some unique workflow and approaches are present compared to the traditional automotive NURBS modeling, probably due to the nature of this new tool. Just curious, are the contours of the surfaces editable after creation? Being able to move, add or delete vertices on the surfaces would be a good feature to have... keep up the nice work.

      @@cr4723 Ich habe 2003 Mediendesigner gelernt nachdem ich ab 1998 hobbymäßig mit 3d angefangen hab. Damals musste man irgendwie in der Branche einen Fuss in die Tür bekommen, daher die Lehre. Heute ist es einfacher, damals war das Gegenteil von Fachkräfte Mangel, es war Arbeitsplatz Mangel, es war die "Generation Praktikum" Zeit.

      Übrigens, wenn du damals privat mit 3D angefangen hast, hättest du statt Mediendesign (2D) gleich 3D-Animation oder Produktdesign lernen können. Das gab es damals bereits.

    Can such a 3D model be converted to CATIA for the backend of the industrial process?

    • @poni7373
      @poni7373 Рік тому

      I don’t know what formats Catia can import, however, Plasticity uses the Parasolid kernel and can thus export to .x_t format (native parasolid) which will allow import into many other CAD tools (like Solidworks, Shapr3D and many others.

    May I ask if the modeling capabilities of this software can achieve the level of all A-class surfaces? Can it replace Alias for car modeling work? Alias is really difficult to operate.

    • @Kuechmeister
      @Kuechmeister  Рік тому

      No, Plasticity is only a 300 dollar mini tool.

    thank you for the video you've got a like; this is pretty awesome, but is the car 100% accurate??

    • @Kuechmeister
      @Kuechmeister  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks, it is not 100% accurate, it is based on a free blueprint from Google images, these blueprints are never accurate, but is OK. Another point is, that Plasticity is not a class A tool. Class A tool users would say, it is only 60% or 80% accurate.

      do you think we can make 100% accurate models for real size 3d prints to make replica car molds??@@Kuechmeister

    • @Kuechmeister
      @Kuechmeister  5 місяців тому +1

      @@mrwitty331 Maybe yes, with a real size 3D scan. But people who have enough money for a real scan and print, buy pro tools like alias.

    It's a shame there's no live history that updates the surfaces to new curve positions, but I guess if it did it would just turn into alias.

    • @Kuechmeister
      @Kuechmeister  Рік тому +5

      It's a beta version ( 0.8xx) of a very fresh new mini tool, why it's a shame? After release, it will cost later 300 dollar, without subscription. Alias cost 12.000 dollar per year.

    • @MrAlziepen
      @MrAlziepen Рік тому +5

      @@Kuechmeister I guess I should have stipulated that I am also very excited about using this tool as opposed to alias, exactly for the pricy subscription you mentioned. I just wish it had curve to surf history is all. I'll take whatever I can get though and will likely buy this once it's out of beta. The fact that it exists at all and is being developed by one dude blows my mind. It's also cool that it's garnering a community of very talented artists using it already like yourself. Really digging your tutorials.

      @@Kuechmeister Alias is cheaper. Alias costs $12 per year. paying $300, I can use it for 25 years. I don't think I'll be using any of this software for 25 years. 25 years from now there will probably be a better software out there. the $300 buyout is actually more expensive than a $12 per year subscription.
