My 2 cent👍 ------ In the hope that the creator of the software hears me: trying plasticity I first feel the lack of these simple but important things, very frequently use: 1- snap during rotation in the viewport, to align on the axes (without pressing additive keys or select object faces, as it is now). In blender for many users it's like this: I click ''alt'' + left button to rotate the view; I click alt again and keep rotating the view until will be activated snap to the axis I'm interested in. Very quick and elegant. 2-possibility to have a confirmation key (enter) where you prefer. Because with graphic tablets it can be very frustrating to press the pen's right button because this command overlaps with some types of preset navigation. Or the standard enter key (which is to the right of the keyboard, for right-handed pen users. The nightmare of tablet users is to take their favorite hand off the tablet to have to go to press any key 😅). And yes, as long as I can I will reiterate the importance of everything being set up right for the graphic tablet as well, not just the mouse, specially for a new born graphic software. 3- in general, possibility to customize hotkeys (probably coming later, I think).
@@nickkallen1 Thank you for the reply! I didn't notice the double cllick with the left button! using the pen I didn't notice that, also because the double click on the tablet is less responsive and controllable than the mouse button, especially if it has to be done with a very short interval between two clicks. Anyway good. I also didn't notice that I could lock the axes with alt+middle button (I suppose again for device-related reasons). This is a good solution for me too, better than before. Personally the view should rotate every alt+ middle click, and complete 4 click cicle, also around X and Y axes, without changing axe. Instead, this happens only for the Z axe. I think it would be more intuitive. I apologize if I still don't understand and thank you again for your tips.
@@nickkallen1 yeah i agree with the comment above , alt +middle .is cool ..but the way it's a bit unpredicatble , often time i don't use it because it doesn't turns the model in the direction i want and also their is weird behavior with when you release the middle key , it zoom out so far , i find the blender way more efficient ,that thing alone prevent me to be faster
That's looking very awesome and intuitive, but I can't really follow or understand what you're doing. I just got notified about Plasticity's existence and I'll definitely try it out, but I'll probably need some detailed tutorials about how it works. Would you consider explaining what exactly you are doing in your future videos? I would appreciate it! 😊
Your tutorials are quiet fast. I do not understand how you made that boolean @39 second mark. You use a sheet and a solid. I cannot replicate that somehow.
@@Kuechmeister that is comletely wrong statement, Catia is a CAd and has a perfect SubD modeler called Imagine&shape, Fusion is a CAD and has SubD, Alias is Cad and Subd. If you want to be competitive, then you need to be able to
Plasticity is beta now, this Video is from 0.1x alpha version. Keys changed while development. Now I work with 0.8x. When v1.0 is released, then we know all keys.
Thanks for sharing your experience, could you use a software to show the keys you press?
Fantastic demo! Really opened my eyes as to what Plasticity can do!

1: you should try alt + middle mouse . 2: try typing enter or double clicking and see what happens

Actually that's impressive! Thanks for sharing :)
How are you enjoying this software in places of other CAD tools?, it looks very free flowing
You are on FIRE!!!
Is there a way to rotate around the cursor instead of the center of the model?
how did you delete a face and turn it into a surface? I think the default is to stay as a solid body isnt it?
cool!
Not sure if you know it but RMB on render mode button have some options there
Any hotkey setup in this program?only find navigation setup.Need hotkey for fast working.
what do you prefer, moi or plasticity?
plasticity, mostly because of the insane fillets
Works on linux?
Will the paid realease work forlinux?

This I made in a early alpha version, now Plasticity is much more easier and faster.
This tool has a lot of potential! is it good for vehicles too?
hey man did you figure out gow to use the sweep solid command , i don't get it ?
how do u connect those curves at 9:55 and stretch to get tangency?
Press B
J for join curves, B for bevel selected points on curve, also double click on points will smooth sharp points
what version are you using man? where can i find it?
Good ideas, could you tell us about this software?!
Interesting but I'll stick to Blender at least for now

Press C.
Can we use scripting ?
I don't know.
i need this for my ipad 😭
сделать пожалуйста это приложение для андроида!
to make it interesting, you should add Sub-D modeling to it, to make it even more interesting, you should integrate this into blender
It's CAD, you don't need Sub-D.

@@Kuechmeister that's subjective, I reccomend you having a look at SubD mixed with CAD functions, that can be very powerful in the "right hands".
