She's one of the best yoga teachers on here. She clearly describes the asanas, simply and to the point. She helps you feel at ease and doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary dialogue. Been watching these videos for a couple of years now.
I'm 51 years old and this has been SOOOoooooo great for lower back and hip relaxation and flexibility. After 3 weeks of doing this, I just today....felt the true realization of these great poses. I believe I have finally arrived at being more flexible in the hip area! Thank you!!
I try to do this video several times/week. For me, someone with bursitis of the hip, it is wonderful and helps gently stretch and strengthen an area of weakness. I first do the morning yoga stretches, then the neck stretch, opening of the shoulders, this video and then the abs. All are by Ester Ekhart and fabulous.
I was looking for a very slow and relaxed yet powerful sequence this morning and this delivered brilliantly. I am going to do Opening the Shoulders tonight and am really looking forward to it!

thank you much. as it has been stated more than once you are very good in your instruction(s). slow, deliberate, and simple. makes it not only easier but motivates one to try..
It can be a difficult pose for many, not just men :). If you find you cant get your knees to sit one on top of the other, try beginning with having one leg straight and have just the upper leg folded over. Keep practicing and you will soon see flexibility improve. Some good preparatory poses would be: Hero/reclining Hero, Reclining big toe and Bound angle pose.

thanks so much for this video, it helps so much with my hips! I sit in a chair all day and also have bursitis in the left side of my hip and this helps it to feel so much better

Good stuff. Clearly explained technique and purpose/where you should feel the stretch and orient your hips, butt and legs. But I want to know what’s behind her. Is that a rock or a tree stump? Is it partially outside or all inside? 😆
Can u make video for this and shoulder stretching together? Like basic hip and upper body stretch about 20-25 min. Its so great to do daily everyday !!!!love u :))))
I love this video, do it almost every day to improve my turnout in dancing. But I noticed that the backside of my right knee feels strained when I do the knee to ankle pose, even if I do the easy version and even though my feet are flexed. My hips are at a point where I don't feel a stretch in this pose anymore, but I can't go further because I'm afraid for my knees :( I hope it's nothing serious...

lifting weights did not help much, The sequence did!!!

Do i need to do each position in my routine or do i just put one position into my routine ?
Some pressure on my knee for the second pose so ill do the variation.
