We’ve created a new DJ controller for dedicated use with our professional performance application, rekordbox dj. The 4-channel DDJ-1000 is designed to help you get the most from the new features coming to rekordbox dj following the release of the latest version of rekordbox (ver 5.1).
The DDJ-1000 offers the ideal solution if you want to play at events and party venues other than clubs thanks to its easy portability and brand-new user interface, which is similar to the familiar multi player/DJM club-standard set-up. Its professional features include full size jog wheels inherited from the CDJ-2000NXS2 with added On Jog Display so you can keep an eye on important track information without looking at your laptop. Bring creative flair to your mixes with 14 Beat FX and use the 16 multicoloured Performance Pads (8 per deck) to trigger various features including Hot Cues, Pad FX and Keyboard Mode, which enables you to play a Hot Cue in different semitones. This allows you to improvise with sounds and create musical phrases as if you were playing on the keyboard of a synthesizer or other instrument.
The significantly updated version of rekordbox includes enhancements to the Related Tracks feature, adding more options for quickly finding tracks that are well matched with the one you’re playing. And the improved rekordbox dj Plus Pack brings new additions such as Automix, which uses the software’s upgraded track analysis to automatically and seamlessly mix tracks.
The DDJ-1000 will be available from mid-January 2018. It comes with a bundled licence key for our professional DJ performance application rekordbox dj. If you own a licence key for one of the rekordbox Plus Packs (rekordbox dj, video or dvs), you can upgrade to the new version of the Plus Pack for free.

Indeed: On ddj-rzx looks the same but slightly smaller on ddj-rz.

I like the center screen of the jogwheel! And it has the loop function unlike the ns6II! The only 2 thing missing from it!

Finally professional jog wheels and pro mixer on a controller! Now this is proper club layout! I like it, I dont however like how ive missed out on this seeming I just bought SZ2!

This Jog Display is crap. Normal displays are better because they're easier to read. A 7" (Touch-)Screen would have been better

Why would you need all that not so easy to read info on small jog wheel display if you'll have on main display just few inches above ?
I'm an old school DJ been waiting for a long time to get a controller - this has everything you want in a controller and the PRICE POINT!!! $1000 for all that!!!! OMG I am ordering on payday! LOL!!!

first you should buy the 400 or RB because those controllers are aiming for begginers and starting with a professional controller is not the best idea and if it was just buy 4 CDJ NXS 2000 and i very expesive mixer and u good to go

This has me really excited, I just sold my DDJ-SR and was looking for an upgrade. The only issue I had with this video was the repetitive scratching xD not to hate but it was getting on my nerves how he kept using the same rhythm and phrasing on his scratches. Nevertheless, great intro vid! I can't wait to check this thing out in person

Very cool using the LCD screens like that by putting actually useful information there instead of just a logo or artwork, my only complaint is that I wish it had a usb or the ability to play without a computer.
I have been using Rekordbox off and on with my DDJ-SX1 and after seeing this got me really interested in buying. Was looking at th RX for a while. I want one like today. LOL! Will still keep my SX.

Is there a Load button for loading tracks or do you have to do it manually from your computer
It's amazing but options to customize the jogs wheels display would be the icing on the cake. For example if they could make the other decks beatgrid appear each side like cdjs do, option to hide the bpm, zoom into waveform.... etc. At the moment you can hide the hot cue, artwork and adjust brightness thats it. Aside that i would fully rate this controller it's excellent.

Awesome! Wonder if the beat FX are hardware. Hope this is a glimpse at the future of CDJs! May replace my DDJ-RZ with this since it’s smaller and more like a nexus setup plus keep me from Serato face since more info is on the unit. Great work! I wonder why they didn’t put an integrated PSU though!

Not sure if needed but could be a game changer from another dimension. A turntable like Rane 72 or a controller for this example. The platter is split into 2 platters. An inner and an outer. The inner is motorised and the outer is by contact ( havent used either ) The outer is thinner. White for visibilty and the inner black. 4 channels. The paddles on the s9 act as another crossfader above the line faders maybe and work when the cross fader is in the middle or overide the crossfader but the upfaders still cut whatever the transformer fader is on. You might be able to juggle super quick just on one side or scratch 2 sounds in a new way. Or beat juggle with some extra outer tones. Or just mix in a compact form. It would need to be big or start out modular.

How is the sound quality playing normal vinyl on turntables? Is it as good as djm mixers? Or do you feel the sound is slightly flat? I am looking to upgrade to 1000 as my current controller I have sx2 the vinyl sound going through is really bad.

i was wondering if you can controll al the effects seperately on each channel? so if every channel has dedicated effects effects.. like rz2? or is rz2 better in that prospect'? becouse it looks like you can assign effects (all of them) only to master channel that effets all the tracks at once and cannot be assigned seprarately.. or am i wrong?. so for example can you assign effect 1 to deck one with some paramaters and then the same effct with diffrent paramters to deck 2 and then the same with againdiffrent parametrs to deck 3 and then deck 4 another effect.. for example?

Hi I would like to know how to use Rekordbox dj video effects in ddj 1000. Please advise.
A friend of mine has this system. I have the Serato Pro DJ (with the Denon DS1 box for using my old mixer and CDJ-400's). Can I use my laptop with Serato on his DDJ-1000 ?

This is my current and only controller that I use that’s good enough for me….at least for a while. May get some CDJ 3000s, or whatever next upgrade will be released. Whichever is rated better. But I’m also on a budget, so yeah. Hope to get more equipment some time.

I love that old original sized cdj jog wheel. I wish they Would make a DJ controller with 12 inch jog wheels the size of vinyl or at least 10 inch jog wheels instead of 8 inch

Rekordbox only needs to add Ableton Link support to be a serious Dj software contender. It’s the only thing keeping me from changing from Serato.

Given the lack of LINK, I still haven't purchased a Rekordbox unit. Thankfully, NI will announce their next iteration of Traktor and their next Traktor controllers in about... well... 4-6 weeks!

It's me again Joe Serato,. Has it been made for Serato Dj yet? I have my cash ready to buy the DDJ-1000 S. This unit is perfect for the Pioneer DDJ-SX and SX 2 users that want to upgrade. The other small units too. $$$$$$$ for making the Serato Dj 1000.
