I think that many people don't get to learn easily because of the logic. Let me explain that. The logic you currently have is based on the knowledge that you were taught and you experienced during your life. If you want to get smarter you have to learn new things and you get more perspective being logical and solve problems. I'd argue that learning a new spoken language other than your native language challenges your brain in a way that your current logic doesn't apply to. Math is another language just like the spoken languages. So is computer science. It's all written in symbols which you have to translate in your head understanding the logic behind of it. Logical thinking is not inherited it is learnt.

There’s different kinds of intelligence. There’s people who have spent their whole lives being “educated” who still can’t put 2 and 2 together. A lot of what we call smarts is just mimicking. Repeating what has been hammered into your brain. I think true intelligence is a spiritual or emotional quality and not purely one of the mental realm.
Hey! I have to agree with you on that one! Have you heard of the 9 different types of intelligence framework? That would fall under existential intelligence if you go by it ☺️
There is another aspect that can influence your will to learn, and that's your circumstances. When you find that you love a thing so much but the circumstances you are in right now are totally against you, you can decide to do two things: either you leave it be and say "Mh, I guess it was not meant to be" or you decide that you're gonna make it work regardless. Maybe you realized that you really love a very specific topic but nobody is there to explain it to you, or in your area you are quite literally the only person interested in that, so you have nobody to talk to about that. How you react to those circumstances can really tell you a lot about yourself, your beliefs and what you actually enjoy doing
i thought about this a few days ago before watching this, it was from a youtube comment (i forgot where it was) but it was about how finding a passion or discovering your greatness will always be bad because you aren’t as smart as some other people and that they’ll always be smarter than you and that you shouldn't try, but that's detrimental to everyone involved. It's because if smart people thought like that, then they'd stop learning and pushing boundaries because they think that they'll always be better, and people who want to be won't try because they'll think that they can't. But the reality is is that everyone can learn and all it takes is just the will to think about it, experiment with it, learn about it, and even grow to love it, because once you can do that, you're already smart.
this video is so good!! i can definitely be very stubborn in subjects like maths and chemistry but it was so flipping eye-opening when you said “no subject is too complicated to learn”. THANK YOU

Chat gpt is almost completey useless. It WILL CONFIDENTLY give you a completely wrong answer and will not change or correct itself unless you correct it. Especially for math? Omg we tried it in class and the teacher was howling with laughter when he saw the answers it was giving us for the calculus questions. A textbook or even Google will 9/10 be more helpful, at least for slightly more complicated topics
@@PrincessYonna1 it really doesn't. If you ask it to explain concepts, it tells you incorrect info. If you ask it to explain definitions or formulas, it gives you incorrect info. If you ask it to explain an answer it explains incorrectly. Ask it to write an English paper and you'll have the equivalent of a 5th grader with a D- average trying to write for you. Correcting grammar and spelling, and grading assignments is what I find it useful for. Trying to do any real work will result in hours wasted trying to correct all the misinformation

I'm at my peak of curiosity, I think. I've been listening, watching all of these videos that intrigue me, mainly superbugs, space, universe, what ifs, ykwim and I just want to amplify my curiosity as high as I can, since it is the key to everything
Oddly enough, my personal shift in perspective has focused more on cultivating a willingness to grasp foundational frameworks and models applicable across various contexts-such as Sigmund Freud's theories, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integral Theory, Taoism, and even psychological aspects like recognizing common traps in OCD-related compulsive anxiety. This journey has underscored the importance of reality checks and understanding these frameworks deeply to navigate life's complexities effectively.
Hermeneutics: This field, especially in its application to literature and texts, deals with the interpretation of meaning, recognizing that understanding is deeply influenced by the reader's framework or worldview.

Lovely video! You express a point about how it’s not that subjects aren’t interesting rather it’s how we’re exposed to them, in a way I’ve struggled to articulate! Also by you seem to be talking about doing well on exams? I feel like those symptoms of being smart you mention initially might have more so to do with accumulating knowledge & understanding the world rather than becoming good at exams necessarily. I feel there’s also an element of critical thinking that this video would benefit from. To re-state your points. if you’re struggling with a subject, first address the beliefs associated with them and secondly, understand that it’s possible that, for whatever reason, this teacher doesn’t connect the dots for you, so seek out other methods of learning. Hold the assumption that there is no bad student, only poor teachers (which is true). Then you go on to mention using AI which i think is a great recommendation but generally speaking there’s too much of an emphasis on specific tips to do rather than an invitation to critically think about what would be best regarding the subject and situation, or a reevaluation on the way people the person learns generally. As another commentator mentioned: sometimes we need to alter the container to make it easier to fill. Thank you for this gem of a video!
thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to write this! also thank you for the bits of constructive criticism given - that helps me to grow and improve as a channel! i would like to clarify that i think intelligence, being smart, having knowledge about the world, being good at exams, are all different unique things. however, most people use these terms interchangeably or even see these as interchangeable ideas, and I thought it would communicate the video's ideas in the clearest, simplest way if I were to use them interchangeably too. But I do think it's worth diving deeper into the nuance between all of these in future videos. I also really like the way you restated the points I made, you said them in a different, interesting way which is helping me to further explore and dive more critically into this topic. Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing you in this comments section again :)
You just earned a subscriber. Idk why but this helped a ton, really appreciate it. It also was excellent background chatter for my chem studying/note-taking.
Great video! I am always highly suspicious of this kind of content on studytube because most people will try to replicate the results of naturally intelligent students by using and recommending less-than-effective methods and techniques, but I think you did a pretty decent job of covering some of the major problems people struggle with when learning new subjects. I think the key to getting better at learning and becoming more intelligent is the ability to think on a highly conceptual and abstract level -- which means thinking through the major concepts and ideas you are studying. Most students do not have the mental/cognitive bandwidth in place that would get them to think like this. Most are content with memorizing the information using active recall and spaced repetition which is fine when it comes to isolated information and facts but not as effective when it comes to connecting the concepts within and between subjects and building out a framework of understanding. Also leveraging your prior knowledge and investing your learning of any subject with genuine passion and interest is also another skill that can be developed. This is where critical thinking comes in, asking questions that place an emphasis on seeing the relation between groups of ideas, justifying the importance of this concept or group of concepts against this other group, etc. What separates the genius from the average individual is the not only the breadth of their knowledge which they possess but also (and the leading cause of the aforementioned) the depth and interconnectivity of their understanding. When you can see not only what makes ideas from remote subjects different but also what makes them similar you are less likely to be surprised in your studies and this can facilitate a process whereby the more you know the easier it becomes to learn, which also fosters a level of curiosity which leads to many geniuses making new or original creative insights.
Yess I completely agree!! To be honest, I should have mentioned it in this video 😪 I talk about a similar concept in the cramming video I made where I talk about how the people who are getting the highest grades are the ones who are innovating, thinking beyond what they have memorised, and connecting pieces of knowledge that everyone else isn't. Anyway, thank you for taking the time out of your day to comment this and I wish you the best in any and all future endeavours 💓💓💓💓
Yeah, plenty of things I'm not good at, plenty of things I am good at. Its always been my desire to learn and give it a try anyways, not giving up. We live in the digital age now, plenty of available resources. You're bound to find something that teaches you in the way you understand, even finding methods that makes you learn better. Remember that nobody knows everything. Just get a desire to learn and keep learning something new everyday, leave your ego out and be open to new things.
I looked at the thumbnail and was suspicious, and then you just said things I didn't realize i was doing. This is a nice video, seems concise, didnt disagree with anything. Thank you
I wish more schools emphasized the growth mindset mentality to children. I see alot of kids set in negative, limiting beliefs (reaffirmed by bad teachers and modeled by depressed parents). But perhaps thats a whole other topic.
I wish you growth for your channel, because, I tend to blame my own abilities for me not understanding certain subjects, I would have never guessed that I had to find my own way of learning it or a way that works for me. (It was calc, it broke my mind T_T).
Clicked on this video because my first thought was "Whaaat, no you NEED to read to learn!!" but then you explained everything so clearly that I was bought within the first few seconds of the video. Absolutely loved it. You are so right, everything you said is so so true. You need to read in order to learn new concepts, but being smart is another thing. Great video, girl!
Chatgpt motivated me to learn things and challenge myself to learn things. I always crave knowledge but I don't have the capacity or IQ to learn things efficiently. Now, chatgpt is like my guide to the future and what I wanted to become.
I would say it depends on what course you're reading in university Imagine a person studying communication and media, and another person studying civil engineering; of course studying will be more difficult for the latter than the former Regardless, it's good to use tips. I just wanted to point this out
I do think it also depends on the person! Some people may find communication and media hard, even though it's seen as a "less traditional" or "less academic" course. But I do think you are spot on about different subjects being easier or harder for people
Thank you for this video I almost scrolled away bc I thought that is was just the average youtuber trying to clickbait me but you made some good points in the first few seconds of the video that made me want to continue on with the video, during the video you made point that I could relate to, lastly thanks for introducing me to chatgbt
The teachers had absolutely no faith me me (being so serious in math I had two bad teachers in a row who would get bad if i asked a question) and that is why I started to hate math even though when i was younger i used to love the subject. 😭 Im going to use this advice so thank you ❤
Awh, no teacher should get mad at a student for asking a question - that's how you learn! I am proud of you for taking responsibility over your own learning, and I wish you the best in any and all exams you may have 😊😊❤️🌞
Yes, and if that is the case, I think it would be suited to get professional help, as I'm just some random sucker on youtube with no medical qualifications 😭
I dropped out of uni 5 years ago and I've been taking lots of depression/anxiety and sleeping pills i really feel like I can't absorb information anymore i wanna get back into studying but idk i just feel like I can't anymore
hey! please do take it easy on yourself :( learning is hard expecially when you have lots of other stressors in your life. try taking things step by step and memorising little information at a time ,(e.g, if you wanted to memorise 10 facts memorise 2 instead) and do consult psychologists and licenced therapists who will know more about this than me :)
There is a body and there is a spirit! The body degrades but still works as normal even when we age, often it is the spirit in men that dies as they get elderly. What I mean is, all these feelings are of a defensive mind and spirit that tries to avert coming to negative conclusions and harming the ego (ie, conscience), but it doesn't reflect the reality, everything is about practice and passion in accordance with the body and anyone can truly learn anything if they keep their spirits up to accept themselves that they are simply 'different' in method (ie, some may learn differently or take deeper time for depth). I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, I don't know what you're going through but I hope you can see that the body and brain are limitless and all we need is the spirit and its' belief in ourselves. That there are possibilities and meaning to our life, and therefore a will to live.
0:44 For the faction of a second, my dumb brain thought you were going to say "The Will of D". ... Yeah, I just came here from a One Piece analysis in my recommendations, don't judge me.
Hi!! I loved this video sm! I'm actually prepping to reteach myself CS so I can feel more comfortable applying for jobs bc I feel like I know nothing (though I know this is not true lol) and I wouldn't say I like feeling this way. I graduated with my degree this past spring but my attention span was so shot it made everything so much harder. But some advice if you'd like it for CS: imo it's just like problem solving. I've had countless projects that I've worked out on paper and mapped out how I should go about it before I started typing anything. For me, this made the process less daunting because I didn't get lost in a sea of code because I had a destination in a different medium.

@tedroscourt1205 0 seconds ago 5:00 In high school I was terrible at math and barely understood algebra 2. I probably only passed because I was a senior and my teacher just gave me a break. I was undisciplined as a student in general and I thought math was useless and didn't give a shit about it. I considered myself a "language arts person" because it felt more familiar. Years later I went back to school and decided to study computer engineering(hybrid of computer science and electrical engineering). Initially, the math was hard for me because obviously I didn't have a good foundation but I figured I just had to cover more ground to make up for my deficiencies. The programming and math classes forced me to develop my logic and reasoning skills. Fast forward I work in the space/satellite communications field and do programming on the daily. Anyway I just shared this to support the point of what you said about the ability to develop your logic and more importantly learning how to learn.
@Mansory811 Oh, I'm 42. I read Robinson Crusoe about six months ago. I'm sure I forgot a lot of it too. If I remembered three MAJOR things from a college course that stuck in my memory permanently, then I did pretty good. I majored in math and in calculus we learned 5 methods of integration. I remember U substitution and that's it. I can't even remember integration by parts. But I'm pretty sure I can look it up if ever I need to, and it'll come back to me.
PLEASE don't think this way - memory can be trained, and being smart covers so many more characteristics than just "good memory" this comment would somewhat indicate "being dumb" because you are limiting yourself and not allowing yourself to learn ways to "be smarter" (a failure to adapt) , you're dragging yourself down by thinking that intelligence is controlled by only one characteristic that you "don't have"
@ then how do I train my memory or fix my way of thinking? I can learn just about anything that REALLY intrigues me but school on the other hand i find boring and im more likely to forget everything

btw great video... subscribed!
Thankyou for this 🎉
There’s different kinds of intelligence.
I completely agree, thank you for sharing this idea !! 💡 💓
Genuinely a very thought provoking video, made me look at things a lot differently with how I study
i'm glad i was able to change your perspective on things 😌
Girl, where were you my whole life? İt feels like you're really speaking to me with your advice. Thank you.
Ahh I'm so glad you feel that way !! More content on the way 💓💓
this video is so good!! i can definitely be very stubborn in subjects like maths and chemistry but it was so flipping eye-opening when you said “no subject is too complicated to learn”. THANK YOU
I relate, and thank YOU for taking the time out of your day to comment 🌞💓
ive been thinking about going in cs/ce for a while now but i keep doubting myself because i was never a tech person
i mean yes i like math but i know nothing about computers or programming (I'm not a math genius either i just enjoy it) but Im slowly realizing that learning IS the point of uni and my current skills arent as important as the skills i want to achieve
so thank you for telling me its possible :)
yess! i'm so glad that i was able to help - you should definetly get into cs and ce 🌞💓 and thank you for taking the time out of your day to write this:)
Are you from Brazil?
its passion that drives people and that makes them consistent and overcome obstacles
- There’s a Will there a way .
- chat gpt
- you got this .
Thanks you. I felt like I can take control the whole damn world !
yes you can !! 🌞💓
@@бронза.вафля.конусthat varies
@@PrincessYonna1 it really doesn't. If you ask it to explain concepts, it tells you incorrect info. If you ask it to explain definitions or formulas, it gives you incorrect info. If you ask it to explain an answer it explains incorrectly. Ask it to write an English paper and you'll have the equivalent of a 5th grader with a D- average trying to write for you.
Correcting grammar and spelling, and grading assignments is what I find it useful for. Trying to do any real work will result in hours wasted trying to correct all the misinformation
@@бронза.вафля.конус hey listen. i love you for this. you understand. i hope you have a good life forever
I appreciate the growth mindset !
My pleasure!!
Girl! You just got yourself a fan from Nigeria.
I am actually smarter than I give myself credit for. I find that I ace whatever subject or skill I apply myself to, relatively easily, but I doubt myself a lot. Not anymore, though!
I absolutely love the way you speak and could watch you all day long. Much love from here.❤
Aww thank you so much! ethnically, I am half Nigerian! 🇳🇬🇳🇬 so we are sisters 🤗
I am glad to hear you are overcoming doubt and thank you so much for watching my channel!! I wish you the best moving forward and i hope to see you in the comments again :) 💓💓
This is so heartwarming. I'm glad to know that we're sisters!😅
I'll be in the comments as much as I need to be. Thank you again for the beautiful video.❤
I'm at my peak of curiosity, I think. I've been listening, watching all of these videos that intrigue me, mainly superbugs, space, universe, what ifs, ykwim and I just want to amplify my curiosity as high as I can, since it is the key to everything
Real
that's awesome!! stay curious 🌞
Hermeneutics: This field, especially in its application to literature and texts, deals with the interpretation of meaning, recognizing that understanding is deeply influenced by the reader's framework or worldview.
oh my god i remember watching your videos about msp lore and internet i loveeeed it but then you stopped uploading and i forgot about you AND NOW YOURE BACK?? WITH SUCH GREAT CONTENT?? oh i am stayyying
NOO WAYYY YOU RECOGNISED ME FROM THE MSP LORE 💀💀💀💀 this is mad
I can't lie this literally made my day 😭😭😭 im glad you're digging the new content too
the best feeling ever was clicking on this video and realizing I'm already like that! I'm very curious and want to learn as many things as possible, I'm potentially interested in everything and any subject :)
that is really good :) you are going to go really far 🌞🤗
I am glad I was able to help 🌞💕
She so smart and fine. Her voice is therapy.
I had to go through a lot of bad advice for you to say something I already knew. Thanks for the reminder 😊
you are most welcome! 💟
This video is so good omg
thank you so much 💓 💗 ☺️
Love this video. Something we need to remind ourselves even after we've done our time in school
This was so insanely valuable! Thank you.
I'm glad you found it helpful :)
Just get a desire to learn and keep learning something new everyday, leave your ego out and be open to new things.
i completely agree :)
I looked at the thumbnail and was suspicious, and then you just said things I didn't realize i was doing. This is a nice video, seems concise, didnt disagree with anything. Thank you
Happy to help :)

Ahh I'm so grateful, thank you so much and I am happy to help 💓💓
This was such an insightful video love it
I wish more schools emphasized the growth mindset mentality to children. I see alot of kids set in negative, limiting beliefs (reaffirmed by bad teachers and modeled by depressed parents). But perhaps thats a whole other topic.
definetly !!
I wish you growth for your channel, because, I tend to blame my own abilities for me not understanding certain subjects, I would have never guessed that I had to find my own way of learning it or a way that works for me. (It was calc, it broke my mind T_T).
yess!! you are smart enough to get the concepts :) you just need to find a different way to learn it 🌞💕
It’s currently the holidays I have 3 tests after the holidays and I’ve just been procrastinating I just can’t 😭😭 but this video motivated me
I'm glad to have helped motivate you! Go ace those papers :)
@ I will try my best THANK U BOO!!! x
the difference with the reading 3 books a day is necessity,
i read books because i like books
Clicked on this video because my first thought was "Whaaat, no you NEED to read to learn!!" but then you explained everything so clearly that I was bought within the first few seconds of the video. Absolutely loved it. You are so right, everything you said is so so true. You need to read in order to learn new concepts, but being smart is another thing. Great video, girl!
thank you so much 💓 😊🌞
Chatgpt motivated me to learn things and challenge myself to learn things. I always crave knowledge but I don't have the capacity or IQ to learn things efficiently. Now, chatgpt is like my guide to the future and what I wanted to become.
Yesss!! 🌞🌞❤️
So very true, I forced myself and I like to read now
I’m so happy this popped up on my algorithm. Thank you Lord 🤲🏾
watching this just a hours till i have to submit an assignment, great
Hope the assignment went well!!
I would say it depends on what course you're reading in university
Imagine a person studying communication and media, and another person studying civil engineering; of course studying will be more difficult for the latter than the former
Regardless, it's good to use tips. I just wanted to point this out
I do think it also depends on the person! Some people may find communication and media hard, even though it's seen as a "less traditional" or "less academic" course. But I do think you are spot on about different subjects being easier or harder for people
everything is hard till it isn't. it's like they say choose your hard...choose your hard till it isn't.
Your voice is so soothing
I am glad it soothes you ☺️
Wisdom is fast but you are faster
Why the insult? 💀
Thank you for this video I almost scrolled away bc I thought that is was just the average youtuber trying to clickbait me but you made some good points in the first few seconds of the video that made me want to continue on with the video, during the video you made point that I could relate to, lastly thanks for introducing me to chatgbt
Awe, I'm glad I was able to help ☺️
quality content!!!! please keep doing what youre doing i love you
thank you so much :) people like you are the reason why i make videos 🌞☺️
You deserve more views or one could also say: everyone deserves to watch your video(s). 🙏
thank you very much 😊
The teachers had absolutely no faith me me (being so serious in math I had two bad teachers in a row who would get bad if i asked a question) and that is why I started to hate math even though when i was younger i used to love the subject. 😭
Im going to use this advice so thank you ❤
(and the chat gpt)
Awh, no teacher should get mad at a student for asking a question - that's how you learn! I am proud of you for taking responsibility over your own learning, and I wish you the best in any and all exams you may have 😊😊❤️🌞

She's a queen I'm afraid
I fear she ate with this
I dropped out of uni 5 years ago and I've been taking lots of depression/anxiety and sleeping pills i really feel like I can't absorb information anymore i wanna get back into studying but idk i just feel like I can't anymore
hey! please do take it easy on yourself :(
learning is hard expecially when you have lots of other stressors in your life. try taking things step by step and memorising little information at a time ,(e.g, if you wanted to memorise 10 facts memorise 2 instead) and do consult psychologists and licenced therapists who will know more about this than me :)
Thank you 🔥
thank you for watching !!

@@goryglory19 hey! i'm so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you so much - this advice sounds really good and I will try it :) thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to write this comment 💓

5:00 In high school I was terrible at math and barely understood algebra 2.
I said happy birthday to you yesterday at school and u pop up on my feed the next day 😭
omgg hi ella!! this is crazy 😭😭😭 i can't believe you found me on here 😭😭💕
you’re so underrated wth
wow, thank you 😊
Logic is skill u can develop
But i dont want to stop reading 3 books a week😢
keep going girl, keep the reading game strong 💪💕
I read like 3 every six months.
@theboombody 😭 my baby girl thara know I live for reading
@Mansory811 I re-read a book on George Washington 10 years later and I was shocked at how much I forgot about it.

AI is so useful. Definitely going to change how we live our lives very soon.
Id be smarter if my memory wasn’t so bad thats literally all what being smart is , just remembering things
PLEASE don't think this way - memory can be trained, and being smart covers so many more characteristics than just "good memory"
this comment would somewhat indicate "being dumb" because you are limiting yourself and not allowing yourself to learn ways to "be smarter" (a failure to adapt) , you're dragging yourself down by thinking that intelligence is controlled by only one characteristic that you "don't have"
@ then how do I train my memory or fix my way of thinking? I can learn just about anything that REALLY intrigues me but school on the other hand i find boring and im more likely to forget everything
Great video, I really enjoyed it! :)
I'm very glad 🌞
your hair is so pretty ❤
