The weird part is, the more you level up, the more you end up being around people who have also leveled up. So you never really feel “ahead” but your life does get better.
Samsara! That crazy merry-go-round.
Yea and then in that competitive environment, you should believe in winning over them to be the first one to move onto the next level
The more you level up the more lonelier you become if you think about the creative minds in our history.
So i disagree with this comment if you take the same path as others and succeed then you get those people around you but the more creative your mind is more lonelier you always are.
@@HockeyTube1 that can be true if you are a very uniquely talented person, for most of us I think that when we push ourselves we are more likely to end up in circles with other like minds. "You choose the pain you face or life ends up choosing for you"
Best thing I have ever heard this year.
As CG Jung said “untill you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”
Another variation of "pick your poison. Only good thing is u get to choose."
Now you have double pain! What you choosed and what life gave you, amazing

its simple, not easy. A lot of this comes down to emotional stability to be consistent with goals/plans.
Yah, consistency is really key and you're right - I should probably change it to simple instead.
I concur. Too many distractions nowadays that get in the way. Nothing in life is 'easy' when suffering is associated with growth. Luck is the only variable in life we can't control, but gives us an edge over others. The discipline to remain consistent is the only way to foster any form of real progression and to retain it.

Yes! I recently went through a lot of “losses” that I decided to treat as learning experiences. In the span of a month, I went through a breakup with my best friend, got in a car accident which totaled my car, stopped talking to my mother, and lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s. All of those things taught me something about myself and life. Instead of going out and buying a new car right away, I decided to start taking the bus. Now I’ve just bought my own bike and I take that to work instead of a car. I’m getting so much more exercise in with that alone. This year is my year of self improvement!
Top man.
I went from being a video game, porn addicted overweight bum who sat in a dark room all day drinking soda and eating Chinese food and ice cream. Now I’m fit, exercise daily, eat the carnivore diet and only drink water. It took years but all the temporary pleasures don’t compare to being healthy and feeling good every day. It all started with me quitting soda, then I stopped playing video games so much, then I tried keto and fasting. Each decision built on the next and before I knew it, it all compounded into a full on healthy habit lifestyle
Can I have your stash?
If the only thing you eat is meat, I guarantee that you are still anything but healthy.
congrats mate
If you only eat meat you should definitely get tested for some vitamin deficiencies, you can't get everything you need just from meat alone
Lost me at "carnivore diet"
I drive past a cemetery everyday on my way to the gym. It reminds me to keep improving and live life to the fullest because tomorrow isn't promised. hell I could have a heart attack at the gym for all I know.

This is almost the exact same thing the book "Atomic habits" is about, just do one small thing everyday, to improve at it or whatever, but you have to stay doing it one time a day, every day

Good habits is fundamental for success so it makes sense many who are would say the same thing

@@Dhr_vGood luck man
U just explained me..
Unfortunate that the paradigm provided is getting ahead of others when really this experience is you against yourself.
Truth
True but I feel like that’s most peoples struggle. Winning the fight against yourself. The way I see it this video isn’t going to get you ahead of anyone else, it’s just going to improve your life and your mentality. It probably will result in the material benefits most ppl want though because you will b more productive
You're missing the point. It's not to be better than others for the sake of being better than others. The others are representative of what you would become if you didn't challenge yourself. In the end, it IS you vs. yourself
It is you against you, yes. But illustrating it as he does in the video is helpful because it makes clear to realize that this is a competition. The things you want, many others want them also. So in order to be competent you have to get better results in the competence by definition, and this lead us to trying to getting ahead of the competitors.
This just applies if you want to win the prize, if you don't all this maybe just could seem meaningless
It is 100% a game against yourself
Best video I've ever seen on this. It's not overloaded with 'I feel your pain' type emotion. The guy keeps it light and simple with a touch of humour. A sign of a great doctor. I feel better already 😊

"One uncomfortable thing at a time."
I'm trying to stop complaining. My husband is great, but housework is not his strong suit. It's easy for me to complain about what didn't get done or how much I have to do. It's easy for me to get upset with him over every little mess. It's not easy for me to swallow my feelings and tell him at a more appropriate time how I'm feeling. I started doing dishes and he came over and offered to take over. I don't like when he only offers to do something just because I start doing it. If he wanted to help, he could've already started them. So I insist on doing dishes. In the past I would do it to be passive aggressive. This time, I had no intent on being manipulative. I finished the dishes. I calmly said I wanted time to myself. I sat with him and admitted I was really frustrated. I talked through my feelings instead of exploding and saying a bunch of things I don't mean. It took a lot of willpower. My body wanted the release of yelling at my husband. I had to resist. I'm done being a nag. I'm done being critical.
He was the one being manipulative, not you. In your example, he asked to help after you already started a task just so you would refuse his help. It doesn't matter why you refused his help. At the end he got what he wanted since he didn't have to do the dishes twice. How did your discussion go?
@JinMeowsoon I disagree, and think this is a very simplistic way of looking at it. Often I forget to do something until I see someone else doing it. Or it was something I was procrastinating and now I feel bad about not doing it. But saying that is manipulative is going too far.
@harvestmoon it sound like you want your husband to want to help out around the house, otherwise you would have been fine with him taking over.
That's not a wrong thing to want, but its a bit different than just wanting him to help. That's something it might help to communicate to him clearly about. Sorry if that's not helpful.
@@totallyjerd1751 That’s fine, I was talking specifically about OP’s situation, I’m not saying this is the case for everyone.
Sounds like your husband isn't great at getting the ball rolling or likes doing things as part of a team rather than by himself. Try doing housework together. You wash the dishes while he dries them and puts them away. Vacuum together so he moves the furniture out of the way while you vacuum.
“Do one uncomfortable thing a day” 😂😂😂 laughs in working class
Perhaps your, “one uncomfortable thing” to do everyday is resist the temptation to this as an excuse.
yeah i was thinking the same thing haha. i love being a tradie for this exact reason. every day im faced with uncomfortable situations that require problem solving and difficulty physically implementing the solution
It doesn’t have to be big. It can be having a conversation with a random person on the way home at the bus stop
But what do you do after you leave that job? That's the point.
It could be as simple as going for a short walk every day.
minor pet peeve: illustrating "getting ahead of 99% of people" as a person being on top of the bell curve.
Also, I'd love to have an empty gym. Does anybody really live in that beautiful utopia where you get gyms or pools to yourself?
I just answered another dude who had the same comment. Just think of it as a mountain 🏔️ that just so happens to look like a bell curve 🙂

Instead of listening to music at the gym I watch videos on history, news(multiple sources to filter out the bs😂)technology news etc. I have learned so much. Its good to be aware of whats happening in the world around you. Knowledge is power and knowing feels good. Feeling good is dopamine. A slow pull is good like read a book, hard draw will have you chasing ie. staring at a monitor. You want to feel good while youre alive because we're going to die.
"Do what makes you happy and healthy so you dont die sad." -Ream
I think just focusing on good food , sleep and exercise apart from work will have the best impact
“Like everything, this too shall pass but before it does thank it for the gratitude it deserves” love this quote
Didn't finish the video yet, but I urgently want to share a thought on the chapter "the Gift":
It's not good for me, that the people around me are becoming zombies.
I don't care about outperforming everyone around me.
I want to thrive with them.
If they suffer, I suffer.
That's understandable, but you can't hold yourself responsible for lives, you've got to try your best regardless, in hopes it will inspire them to do the same (relates to the saying: you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink)
there's definitely a pretentious tone to the concept of it being "to get ahead [of others]" when comparison isn't the actual point, and we must disregard those airs to absorb the message intended for ALL of us 💫
be ahead of them in order to protect them
Part of your "pain seeking" might be to .. get new friends.
I personally don’t care about others. I want to push myself to being the best that I can be.
If everyone had this mentality, we wouldn’t have to worry about the collective.

Hi, chronic pain survivor here. This is decent advice, but I think it's equally important to be mindful of not seeking pain for pain's sake. Pain at the gym can be a sign of pushing the edges of your limits a little farther out, but it's just as likely to be a sign you left those limits in the dust and you're actively doing harm. The same is true for any other realm, the ER emotional pain can be a great way to stay motivated and feel connected with others but it's just as likely to create severe burnout and more serious mental health problems. Pain doesn't equal pain, so be careful with it and always seek the help of a professional even if just to check in. There's a reason professional dancers never really stop taking classes, we need our teachers to keep us from destroying ourselves. ❤
this is a good point clarifying that the discomfort, anxiety, and pain that he advises are the kinds that come with rejecting what's bad for us + when seeking, reaching for what's good. besides keeping it simple, we should definitely be mindful to not over-extend our energy/body despite good intentions. it's a concept meant for personally adjusted application for sure :)
no that’s a weak mindset. Don’t think about the pain
I felt a huge difference in the kind of pain at the gym at age 20 vs age 40. At age 20 you usually can do reps until failure so it's easy to get that good burn. At age 40 you feel like if you do too many reps you'll snap a tendon or wreck a shoulder or something. Some pain is constructive and some is definitely destructive. Aging really forces you to swallow your pride and accept humility.
@@turolretar Say that to people injured, sometimes permanently, from trying to push past pain at the gym.
@@NuniaBiznazPeople are just nuts these days to be honest. Our ancestors used to be much healthier without a gym.
No one is better than 99%. We all have our own lives with our own goals, and everyone will end up in the 1% by some measurement. Trying to measure people's success in life with arbitrary things like money is like trying to measure waves with a ruler. Yes, money is necessary for modern day life, but after a certain point it becomes excessive and loses value. The same is for other metrics, you only need a baseline to succeed. Anyone who says you're inferior or worthless is already beneath you as a person, as they see you as above them in status, whether that be in skill or money or something else. Don't obsess over details and don't let addictions consume you, insanity is only ever found in overthinking and overdoing
My key takeaway from this video is to change my perspective on what pain is. I already knew this but now thinking about it, it's more serious than I thought. Whenever something bad happens, I say it's a bad day and I'll make the most of it. That's not quite good enough, I should be thinking: "This sucks, I'll learn everything I can from it"
Thank you for this beautiful video
This is fascinating. I recently delved into an audiobook "To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth about Moving Others" by Daniel H. Pink and, no kidding, he actually sets up a study where, in a class where kids are learning how to better negotiate, one group is told to aim for improvement, and the other group? Is told to aim for discomfort. The second group *way* outmatched the first in improving their skills, so I think there is a lot of credit to discomfort leading to improvement... otherwise known as the age-old adage "pain is gain".
But the way this is laid out in three concise and easy to understand levels has really expanded my understanding of this topic. I have been rigorously chasing discomfort for awhile, but I feel like chasing PAIN is galaxy-brain level compared to what I was doing. Incredibly exciting and inspiring stuff. Honestly, now that you've laid it out, I can't believe I didn't make the connection myself, but it's so clear in hindsight.
Thank you. It's time for me to go get my butt kicked some more!
These few months I've been in a loop, I try and try and try and try. I finally see myself getting out of it slowly but surely. I want to be my best, I want to have no regrets, I want to soar the skies. I want it all but I don't know how to start, this gave me some clarity, thanks

Wow, great video. Pain is gonna happen either way, and being able to face the pain head-on, instead of trying to avoid it, might be the best way to not only gain inner strength, but also to succeed anyway. Seek out doing the challenging thing. It's painful to wake up on time, it's painful to clean your room, it's painful to go through rejection, but you need that to get ahead. Your either in control over where you're going, or you lose control and just have things happen to you randomly.
The other stuff you said were good. Lately, I've approached challenges with hesitance, but maybe this video is a great way to get me to be more headstrong and eager to fix the challenges that come my way. Yet here I am in my evening trying to put a powerpoint presentation together to get a better position, but some days I'm too burnt to even craft an email.
Maybe if work wasn't mandated to be 40+ hours a week, more people would find the energy to better themselves.
for real.
I understand where you’re coming from as I’m burnt out too (only difference is I’m a pregnant stay at home mum with a 3 year old and little help). If you’re burnt out, you’re already doing too much, grasping still for many large wins and still not feeling progress because your resources are too scattered. You have to simplify your life even further and then “start exactly where you are”. It’s possible to go backwards if you try to do too much. But sometimes it feels impossible to do less than you alresdy are. Probably due to modern day segregation and disconnection in our society: one individual trying to do the job of an entire village.
A small win probably looks like taking steps to learn to ask for help, or slowly take steps to minimise expenses drastically so you can take a job with less pressure, or whatever it is in your situation, then build up from there. Feels like going backwards to go truly forwards sometimes.
I know it sucks to have burn out, because I deal with it too. Honestly, the only way I have found through it is to dig deep for some type of strong incentive to get you to do the work you need to do, even though you're exhausted. You have to have some "why" that's strong enough to force you to do it even when you're exhausted to hell. It can be anything. It can be for money, or women or fame or status. It can be a superficial goal if you want, just as long as it provides the motivation needed to make you do it, even though you don't feel like it.
For example, I was single for the last 6 years or so, and I became so lonely and depressed that the thought of going the rest of my life without having an intimate relationship with someone was so dreadful. So I forced myself to download a dating app and go through rejection after rejection (and feel very discouraged most days) until I met someone who matches me and now we're in a relationship. I can't imagine how much more depressed I would be had I not forced myself to risk the fear of rejection in order to find her.
Same with your job. If your job is making you miserable or not affording you the lifestyle you want, you have to ask yourself "Am I willing to put up with this for the rest of my life"? And if the answer is no, then you HAVE to use that as fuel to push you to send out those job applications or learn a new skill that will bring you a better income, because the alternative is staying right where you are until you die, and that's far more dreadful than the effort it will take you to put yourself in a better position in life.
@@kirstywragg6308 I appreciate the thoughtful words.
But, there is no one to ask for help, it would be nice. But no one is going to redo my resume for me.
No one is going to look through job listings for me.
And the only one who is going to free me from a job that I loathe is me.
I've already waited for a job lead to slowly mature over the course of a month, only for it to burn out. So now I have to get back on the horse... again.
@@smkattoula45 Utilizing loathing to push through is not a new lesson for me. It's literally the only thing keeping me going.
Your third paragraph is something someone might realize at the beginning of their working life, not 30 years into it.
I'm waaay past that.
Good advice for a 20 year-old though.
Now I'm dealing with... "If I actually eat dinner, I'll probably crash, which happens, so I better keep working, finish redoing and then sending my resume, then eat.
But I'm so f'ing hungry.

Learned a lot from your articulate delivery of the 3 levels of comfort.
Nice video. Your videos get better and better. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thanks for the great reminder to help me stay consistent, I've been trying to use such tiny habits and thought process to get myself to do a little bit every now and then, being more thoughtful and well the reason to start doing so was to actually stop doing the things I didn't want to, sort of "Unlearning the habits" while trying to consume more of thoughtfulness, gentleness, calmness, stoicism etc... Okay that's enough for a comment.
Here for you! Tiny wins every day is all it takes! You are so true - a lot of the times it's unlearning habits and reflexive associations that give you the biggest wins
I have been unknowingly stuck at lvl 1! Thank you for identifying and labeling this. I feel this process being explained like this will provide alot of folks with some much needed guidance
Watching this daily! This is AMAZING and finally helped me when nothing else did. THANK YOU!!!
he has the everyone is an npc except me mentality
What? I didn't get that impression
I am better than 99% of people, all of the NPCs glued to their TVs instead of going to Harvard and getting 3 degrees like me. Really anyone can get into Harvard, if you could just try hard, and stop running from discomfort, you need to seek out pain and be stronger than everyone else like me. If u just do what I do, you'll be better than everyone else around you, trust me, I know from experience.

Yeah that is exactly what I don't like about this video. Like the advice itself is fine, but he makes it seem like you are the only person in the world who is trying to improve themselves, and that everyone else is just a mindless zombie with zero goals or accomplishments. Occasionally listening to an educational podcast or going to the gym doesn't automatically make you better than everyone just because you are following this very specific plan.
@@JustinMummaactually anyone can get into Harvard if you try hard enough, obviously it takes years of effort though
Also I can tell ur one of the ppl in the vids who sits on their phone all day
I have so much respect for this man.
This advice is probably the most helpful and useful of all I've heard in my life. It makes me think I still have so much to learn about. Truly amazing. Thank You Mr Doctor.
We should thrive for "getting ahead" because that’s the only chance we see in living a bearable life, but rather strive to create a world where life is good for all
I really liked your editing and the way you have written this video
Thank you so much 🙂. Appreciate your kind words!
Does studying count as pain? I’d rather work out than study.

@@user-vt9ce4cv8w in this time period being able to memorize information is key I’ll give you that. But most of them that can don’t have original thought. Chew on that
Why did my reply get deleted? Hmm sensitive.
Thats exactly why you should study, because its what will pay the most for the least input.
@@stevena8719 Agreed. I’m currently studying to be a Network Administrator. It’s annoying to not be able to learn on the job within a company.
This is the first time in a long time that I've felt motivated. Thank you!

You have become part of the ‘hoard’ of you are watching this video 😂
It won’t be if 99% of people watch this video
The dad talk everyone needs to hear in their lives.
I love the way you craft your videos, so much useful info and so enjoyable to watch and listen to.
My problem is that I get paralyzed by this immense fear....
Start with small things first, build some confidence then move to small uncomfortable things (1 minute plank, 5 minute on the treadmill etc ) keep building on top of it
you just got to build up to it like the other dude said in the replies starting small is a good way to start, i assume you most likely bathe or swap your clothes everyday, it's habit it takes little effort to do, it's just about starting small using that moment to help you and keep things going you don't need to go all in now but dipping your toes in helps. You learn crawl then balance, waddle, walk and then run. Another thing is keeping a positive mindset we tend to be overly hard on ourselves treat yourself how you would a friend
@@lif3strategiess so how about things like success... same strategy? I want to do the big things (real estate, agencies, get my mom out of homelessness, etc.) but I just get so frozen, you know? Like everytime I try, I hear a thousand voices reminding me of how much of a failure I am...
@@MyNamesHunter75 I totally feel that. I appreciate you, I really do. But one question though.... what if you have a lot at risk? Like... I lost my wife and kids... then my mom went homeless... and I'm trying to make enough money to take care of them, but the small things just seem like they're not eough...
What about children who were trafficked as a child and abused? Should they still choose pain? Where is enough? Serious question :3 so i can apply it to my own painful life, when is enough?
This is actually really solid advise, better than most self-improvement youtubers I've seen.
Thanks! This was really motiovational! Love these videos. Do you have a digital note taking system? I really jive with your videos and just want to take your system rather than testing and exploring for weeks. I used Evernote for my degrees years ago but now it's bloated and feels anti productive. I liked the device sync, tagging, and the ability to create notes rapidly, with the "fancy" features of copy/paste auto matic source attribution, PDF OCR, one click website ingestion.
Evernote is great but sounds like you want something more sophisticated. I use clickup but lots of people love Obsidian and Notion. I'd probably start with Obsidian as it's open source and has lots of plugins and probably the most ardent community.
I dont know if you’ll see this man, but you’re exactly the guy the world needs rn the programming by the government and whoever else is running the show is going to completely destroy the world. In the next couple decades it’s going to be seriously scaring and depressing. Absolutely terrific video.
Props to you man. I hope to someday make full use of the information you’ve provided. I appreciate the work you put into this video.
You talked about the dopamine-inducing instant gratification we have today is a detriment but make this video EXTREMELY dopaminergic lol.
I disagree that it’s a “good” thing by sabotaging the competition. Human nature doesn’t exist in a vacuum, we’re social creatures. Your environment absolutely has an effect on you. People perform better in environments with other high-performers; that’s why masterminds exist. Your family likely pushed you for success more than other families pushed their kids for success, and it contributed to where you’re at today, as another example. Living in positive environment that supports success verses a ghetto that promotes thug culture is definitely more conducive for success, and data supports this (DuPage county being the best county in the US for upward socioeconomic growth vs Cook county being the worst, despite both counties being literally right next to each other; same physical environment in proximity to Chicago, yet the former is a very nice place to live with a much nicer culture than the latter.
Additionally, instant-gratification culture is bad for society overall. As society worsens, so too are we dragged down by it.
Something that helps me is writting down "who do you want to be in 90 days" then awnsering that question in writing and thinking of life as a game
Could you give more insight on how you do that?
@@abdullahmir2899 you simply ask your self that question an make strides towards becoming that person. It's something that is good to have in actual writing that you can reflect on and should be realistic.
Who you are now and what you do today tomorrow and the days leading up to those 90 days matters, if you right now sit around watch tv or youtube all day you'll most likely be that same person because you yourself are shaping your self to be that

This video is wild, "everyone else is lazy, but not you, you're special" and "yes capitalist daddy, step on my neck harder, I love it" like bro wut, not everything is about you and your bootstraps
You know really anyone can get into Harvard if u just could work harder, and seek out pain, and just be smarter, stronger, and better than 99% of people, like me. And it's really not even hard to pass up those unfeeling, doped up, NPC junkies who are all glued to their TVs. They could just pull the tuition out their college funds, take a few years off work, stop being lazy, get 3 degrees & become a doctor, work 80 hours per week in the ER, get 4 hours of sleep for the pain of it, and just be better than everyone like me. But people these days, they just want to dope up on TikTok and play victim mentality 🤷♂️

Bro do people actually benefit from this, not saying the advice is bad but being bombarded with random sensations constantly is giving me a headache the video is hardly watchable, theres 0 chance someone can internalise the information with this format lol, also shocking that people actually dont know these things already and much much more lol. Whats more shocking is this trend ive seen in a few thumbnails stating "get ahead of everyone else!" Use your brain boys, what does get ahead mean? Financially? Have love? Have health? Have internal peace? Lol
Not that I don’t completely understand but when you hang around shit you become shit, if you improve then you there for guide other people in the right direction.
Its about meaningless suffering. Continue doing it, if your life has meaning by being fat and useless. Also, evidently, brainless.
Yes, I am currently benefitting from it, Ive spent most of my adult life scrolling through “motivational” self improvement content, and you are absolutely right, they’ve never taught me something I didn’t already know, because every normal person knows the exact solution to 99% of his problems, and yet we are humans, the inability to unlock our fullest potential is a part of our DNA, we cant help it, we aren’t robots, our free will is the blessing and curse that makes us human.
What makes this video different to me, is how he lays out what you need to improve in a simple, realistic way, he helps me realize what I already knew in a more comprehensive way, he isn’t speaking in a pseudo-intellectual fashion, he isn’t attaching an agenda to self-improvement, he doesn’t say you HAVE to wake up at exactly 4:00 am and do exactly 200 pushups to be an above average person, he gives you the directions to the main road in life you need to go on that will unlock everything else with time.
And here I am trying to spend the most time and effort articulating a youtube comment to distract myself from being a good medstudent and studying for the finals.
Ah the human brain…
@@xelio9050 I'm not really sure if it's even possible to help an stranger even if you make a 15h video, no one knows the solution to another's problems, we only know solutions to achieve an aim. hi- um- so like.. but whats the point of being ahead of people? like- i want to be good socially but money i dont really care about it fame and change has always seemed interesting but im not sure what its good for.. why do you care to become better?
some people may enjoy having the pride of being better than a lot of people. However, I like the idea that by doing small things everyday, progressively from inconvenient to painful, it helps us become the better person we want to be. As a result of these actions, we end up becoming better than “99%” of people.
If you are good where you are, that’s okay. But if you want to be good socially and be even better, then working on simple habits and having a systematic system to organize what actions to take can be helpful. You don’t necessarily have to compare yourself to others - it’s just a barometer. If it helps to think of it differently, just be better than yourself yesterday. Commiting to some simple habit frameworks can still help with that. Point is, most people aren’t doing that so even if you spent five-minutes a day doing so, you’d get far.
For me, I'd say quality of life. Literally, everything in your life can be improved upon, but only if you take the actions necessary to improve.
I don’t care to be better than others. I care to improve on myself in order to reduce senseless suffering for myself and those around me. I want to understand my inner principles and remove the roadblocks I’ve set up to adhering to them.
I’m simultaneously comfortable with who I am and eager to become my best version (by my own metrics, not compared to someone else). Many people do find the competitive side to be useful, though.
For me it's that I want to make enough money to comfortably live, I'm from Canada and make 28k a year which is difficult to live on let alone comfortably hell people making 50k are struggling, for me I desire to have my own career that isn't shift work in a factory, get financially stable enough to have a kid give them a better life than me and actually feel I made a positive change in my life. I was diagnosed with clinical depression at 14 and diagnosed with ADD at age 8, depression and ADD together are a dangerous combo.
Mine is both mental and physical improvements along with financial, not that it has to be done tomorrow but I desire to be better than who I was and who I am currently not really others, but with that being said people do also settle and let life throw them around working in a factory I see it a lot, 30 - 70-year-old dudes defeated by life, hating the world, depressed because of where they are.
They mop around and complain that "life isn't fair don't follow your dreams because it doesn't amount to anything" I think that's an upsetting way to live and I've been there I don't want to be there when I'm 30 or stuck in a crappy job I desire to be better than myself because if I don't I'll likely end up like those who are 30 - 70 mopping away in a job that they hate who gave up on everything they enjoyed for whatever reason that may be. I'm from a low-income immigrant town a lot of people mop around upset at the world.
I'm 21 and see it too often it's not what I want for myself and I know it's within me to change that for the sake of who I want to be I feel I was dealt a pretty shit hand in life not the worst but not the best by any means I want to win the game even if I have a bad hand it's an innate thing for me
Immediately left the moment i heard. “The reason you should listen to me is because i have sone degrees from some schools”
Literally the reason I wont listen.
You should still listen. Don't just stick to things you don't like. Listen to others. Expand your knowledge
Would you rather he said, "hey I'm going to give you some advice and I have nothing to show for it? 😂"
One thing I’ve learned and it’s small is even with these informative videos to train my mind to understand them on 2X speed. Doing this speeds up the way you process information and saves you time in your day!
Honestly i normally hate these kinds of videos but this was pretty quality and I needed to hear it. Thanks dawg
7:50 "Nobody likes pain."
*laughs in masochism*
Though, jokes aside: building pain tolerance at least is key.
And as you said, it is all about being smart about which kind of kind of pain you are predominantly going to reap from your actions.
If you have the foresight, you can choose a healthy kind of pain at least.
And avoid suffering. Which is the true challenge in life.
Great 🎉😊❤
Thanks! 😄
