That would be SO COOL and I am sure a world first... in the world of UA-cam Airline video's. I don'k know why, but there is 3 step (yes really!) pre-escalator to a 'normal' escalator at Gatwick (London). I assume it was not planned that way to start with, but at some point someone must have pointed out ' Hey... this is not level with the escalstor... let's make a small one to get up to level '
I complimented you on your really great videos once before. I love them. This Delta video was really great, despite the fact that I never have to go to South Africa and as a “Floridaboy” in the Miami area I use American primarily out of MIA. Out of all the folks who do airline review videos on UA-cam I must say that you really have the best concept. Your voice is very easy to listening to (unlike a certain australian guy on youtube), you put your product review into the center - not yourself (unlike two super-annoying german guys who are primarily focused on mounting as many cameras to film themselves - they are really a highly annoying couple). And then I absolutely LOVE your final review with your rating system at the end, this gives your videos the final touch of professionalism and it makes sense, particularly for business class travelers like myself. What I really appreciate a lot is the fact that you analyze all categories. You go over lounges and access, the seat/class product, you address catering (super important) and you are one of the only ones here who pays compliments to the staff, or in the case of aviation the crew of course when they do a great job and are friendly. Hardly anyone does that, unless they have the need to “complain” - but good good crew service for instance is never mentioned by anyone, only by you. Finally I think that Austrian Airlines would be a great example too: Yes the business class product by now is short of ten years old, but still “okay”. However I rather fly to NY to take Austrian to Europe (instead of taking LH out of Miami) because their catring is exceptionally good, their crews are nothing short of amazing. Never had a bad business class experience on OS, despite the fact that there are airlines with far superior business class products than OS, but as you say, all is a combination of the overall experience and soon in a year there will be a bunch of almost new 787-900 joining the aging OS fleet and that will come with a more modern and adequate business class product. Love your videos, you really provide comprehensive reviews instead of starring in your own movies like everyone else! Greetings from South Florida. (PS: I once criticized a flight review by the two german “guys” because they were so unbelievably annoying putting only themselves into the center of attention, plus they must have really disturbed every passenger on that plane’s business class, they also had an LH 748 First Class review once, if I would have been a passenger on that flight close to them I would have demanded that get thrown out before the plane even takes off) and then they publicly attacked me here on UA-cam saying that I must be jealous! And I just replied: “No no darlings, I don’t need to do videos to travel around the world, I am able to pay for my business or first class fares) hence I view your videos all the time. Because they are actually really helpful. Take Care and safe travels.
Once-upon-a-time (not all that long ago) flying r/t between Atlanta and Dubai was 80000 miles in Business/First and 40000 miles in Economy. It was a non-stop flight of about 15 hours going eastbound and sometimes 16 hours westbound if the jet stream was being active. Delta used a 777 on the route. The trip was long enough to be able to eat dinner & breakfast, watch a movie, and get a solid night's sleep..... IF riding up front. The trip in Economy was like spending 15 hours in an electric chair without the electricity.
Good to know. I noticed they never showed where the "real" tourists sit. I'm planning a trip to Scotland in Oct and I've been debating whether to spend the extra or not.
@nancyrumsey4435 we just flew on Delta from Atlanta to Scotland in comfort plus in Economy..it wasn't bad at all. Maybe since it was overnight so we slept most of the way, but we couldn't justify the cost diferential between economy and business.
If I may suggest, I would love to see the 8 hours flight from Brasilia (BSB) to Orlando (MCO) on the Gol Linhas Aereas Max 8, not only is it one of the longest Max 8 routes is also the longest route of this type from Gol and all of the Americas. No English-speaking content creator has covered this flight yet! Even though I speak Portuguese and saw it through Portuguese speakers, I would like to see some internationals take on this ground-breaking flight for Gol and for all of Brazil.
It may be a small gesture but your "use your miles when you have them" shpeel made me upgrade my upcoming flight to economy plus over just economy. Luxurious!
Really enjoy your content. You create it always with a light, fun tone, while being information-packed. You’ve helped me realize that I need to travel more. So I am! Thank you.
We just took this exact flight to Johannesburg and there was a young woman that was sitting with us in the window seat and she didn't get up once in the entire 15.5 hours, we were quite shocked and ask her a couple of times if she wants us to let her out and she said no, thank you 😲
I really appreciate the content you make, and love how it can help me know what the Delta One Seat experience has changed, so I know what to expect whenever I do travel on Delta One. Hope you can continue making this content for years to come.
Absolutely LOVE Delta One suites! When I travel to the Philippines on Korean Air, I always pick the flight to Incheon that is on Delta. So comfy and I love the privacy.
I live in Joahnnesburg and it's so cool that our amazing city gets to part of unique experiences like this. I have to say though, it was way cooler to have the B777-200lr visiting us back when it did.
Unfortunately, due to high crime area. You cannot go to South Africa anymore. It’s very dangerous for you. They will kill you and they will kidnap you. So please don’t go to South Africa.
Hey Jeb Brooks! I really loved this video! Me and my dad watch you all the time! You inspired me and my dad to also try out airlines :), keep up the good content, your the best airline reviewer in the world!
3:14 That's N518DN - The aircraft I boarded for a flight from Tokyo to Atlanta. However, the cargo door had an issue and we had to deplane. We were delayed for over 3 hours! Luckily, they had another A350 on property that was ready to go.
Hey jeb ! I'm french and an aviation enthousiast like you and I love your videos !!! I think you should try the longest domestic flight between Paris and Papeete (in French Polynesia which is a french oversea territory) even though it includes a stopover in LAX or in SFO (depending on which airline you choose to fly on (Air France, French Bee, or Air Tahiti Nui) it sounds like an incredible adventure and it leads you to one of the most beautiful places on earth !
It’s not a domestic flight because of the stopover. When the stopover was in Guadeloupe then it was. Now the longest domestic flight is Paris to Reunion.
Speaking of segways, a couple years ago my parents went through the hell of the Atlanta shutdown. They had to walk many of the escalators completely unpowered, in the dark, and with all their luggage. Made me really respect the Plane Trains and Escalators a lot more! P.S. loved the video!
Hey, a Jeb video I can (somewhat) relate to! I've done the very slightly shorter Cape Town to Atlanta on Delta, loved the experience! Had the privilege of getting a Comfort+ upgrade AND having the flight be majorly at night - got a solid eight hours of sleep.
I’d love to see two specific longest flights: 1) the world’s longest domestic flight from Paris to Reunion (CDG-RUN) 2) the world’s longest direct flight (point to point with refuelling stops allowed), which I believe is either BA15 from LHR-SYD via SIN or QF9 from LHR-MEL via PER.
Jeb - I'm waiting to see a video that says, "I finally did it... I'm starting my training for my private pilot license!" :-) I've watched many of your videos and I have to say... flying the plane is way more fun than sitting in the back. If you think you were passionate about aviation before... You'll soar to new heights if you can obtain that PPL (figuratively and very much literally). Also, my wife and I are headed to Bogota, Colombia on a DAL 757 in their first class in October... I'll let you know how that goes since I noticed you haven't made it to Colombia yet! Bogota has some crazy arrival procedures given its elevation in the mountains for landing.
I can't wait to try out my first ever 350!!!! I've had my first dreamliner experience this year and now I need to snag a ride on a 350 to round out my year to check off the new modern birds.
Great review once again Jeb, maybe we could have one with the longest flight using Economy Class (or Cattle Class as it’s called here in the UK)! Keep them coming and best regards to your lovely wife Suzanna. 👍🏼
My wife and I am flying to Tokyo in April 2025. We are treating ourselves to Delta One….. From you videos, I think we have made the right decisions.. We are flying from Savannah to Atl then to Detroit and on the Tokyo….

@@deborahsobel3314 I'm a flight attendant, and I used to be afraid to fly. But having done it hundreds of times now, I've seen that the turbulence almost always abates at higher levels. The biggest risk is if your seat belt is not fastened and you hit the ceiling, so keep that on at all times.
Love it! Glad you guys enjoyed the flight! The Fox Bros dishes out of Atlanta have been consistently good in my experience. I think catering had an off day.
ive done this flight a few times, mostly in the back in Comfort+ but got to do it twice up front and it is really nice. This was on the 772 several years ago, its good to see that the A350 does it now. Looks very nice. Hope you enjoyed Joburg. Its a really neat place to visit.
Awesome flight review as always you both!,business class looks great re that long haul flight time.,i'd be interested to know what the economy class cabin was like on a long flight such as this Delta one!.
I frequently fly Dallas to DOH with Qatar Airways. That's 15 hours going East, 16 going west. (No fun in economy) Definitely need lots of leg stretches. Love your movies! Can't wait to be in an upper class one day.
Hi Jeb! You need to fly Avelo Salem to Las Vegas! It is the first time Salem is having a commercial flight is over 15 years. (First flight is October 5!
Great video, but need more of Mrs B! Auckland to Dubai on Emirates is 17 and bit hours, all in the dark. So, quite a chunky trip, but made very easy by being lucky enough to go Business. When you get fed up watching films, head to the bar for a change of scene. A real game changer on this mega flight.
As someone from Johannesburg that now lives in the US and has done this flight many, many times between the two I really enjoyed this video! Thank you! Love all your videos and super cool watching one I can relate to! 😊 Always knew it was a long flight, blows my mind it’s the 13th longest in the world! Still. long flight or not the ability to fly direct was a game changer! Haha
I’d love to see more detailed analysis of the seat itself, cushion thickness, leg/lumber support(or lack thereof), comfort level for back and side sleeping. Can you access the IFE and other features in the compartment without reaching/bending overly much? Ergonomics are important, especially for those with mobility issues.
We just got married in Hawaii and booked Delta One first class from PBI-ATL-HNL. In the A310 out of PBI we had the CEO of Delta (Ed Bastian) on board in the seat in front of us. We talked and had pictures with him . The A350 from ATL to HNL was amazing . The service was awesome. When we got back, we went to the SkyClub and the hostess greeted us with Champagne and cheesecake as they knew we were newlyweds! So happy we chose Delta. Oh and The Four Seasons Oahu ocean suites were worth every penny. I even allow my new bride a Wagyu Steak dinner $$$$$$. Thanks Jeb
My daughter lives in Johannesburg. I’ve taken this trip a few times (from Boise to Atlanta first.) Always go cheapest class, so it’s nice to see what the rich guys get to experience.
Thank u for what u do for us I really enjoy watching your videos about aviation every time I eat I like watching the Qantas nonstop video 😀❤️👍 keep it up the good hard work putting this videos together and the hard editing
I might be the odd one out to comment this but: Amazing choice of watch you have on, Jeb! Wear it in good health! Thanks for all the content you and Suzanne produce.
I’m pretty sure that escalator is in S terminal going to the lower level for ground transportation. Tho there are a few like it in both the north and south terminals. Nice video as always!
As a european, working as a pilot in a major airline in the north, I admire Delta. We have flown with them many times now, when visiting the states. It's not the most luxurious, but it just work.
Incredible. I have consistently had a terrible time flying with Delta (delays, bad service, crappy food, ticket prices higher than other main competitors, etc.). I can never find the crews that you do.
Hi Jeb - after comments about jetlag on a recent video, it was interesting to see (at 7:24 ) that you'd presumably set your watch to destination time! I do that as well!
I would LOVE to see you do the Dallas to Melbourne route. Also, I don't mean to be picky, but I would also love to see a video city tour of Melbourne, and, possibly, Sydney!
Hi Jeb and Susan glad you enjoyed your flight, I travel on Delta once and I promise I would never fly it again ,but you never know thanks for sharing stay safe
When you’re a business or first class passenger your experience will definitely be better from the airline staff than flying economy. These guys need to review flights in the commoner class
As airplanes get more longer legs on 'em the shorter the take off time, right? : ) Thanks Jeb and Suzanne for your wonderful 'take' on Delta's A350 business class ride through the sky over the Earth on most days/nights depending on ones schedule. I have yet to experience the A350; looks like a very nice aircraft. (IF the 747 could fly on two engines, for better efficiency, they'd probably still be flying everywhere & anywhere. )
Just flew my first A350 in the last few weeks - Air France on ATL-CDG and back. It really is a great looking plane. Of course it’s not quite as awe-inspiring from the gate as a 747 or A380, but it’s much more elegant than the latter of those two double-deckers. But my all time favorite plane remains the old Lockheed L1011 TriStar.
Hi, Jeb. You should really try out Binter Airlines. You should see the Canary Islands from the sky, it´s amazing, and would be a great "challenge" to visit every island (or the 8 Airports) via Binter.
I love your videos. I would love to see you do the longest flight in America as well as the longest flight on JetBlue, and the longest flight on a 747 or A380.
Great video! I'd love to see both the American Airlines and United longest flight. Also love to see the British Airways LHR to SYD (with it's refueling in Singapore).
American's longest nonstop flight is AAL72/73 (LAX-SYD). United's longest nonstop route is SFO-SIN; I say longest _route_ because United actually provides twice-daily 787-9 service, with day (UAL29 westbound and UAL2 eastbound) and night (UAL1 westbound and UAL28 eastbound) flights in each direction; these are complemented by twice-daily A350-900 flights provided by Singapore Airlines (SIA31/32, SIA33/34).
Hi Jeb love your vlogs as always mate it you have not done it yet you gotta try Qantas London to Perth Australia or Perth to London Heathrow it's on the 787 Dreamliner and in business class you get PJs keep the great work up and keep your vlogs coming 👍
The wife and I just upgraded our tickets to Delta one suites for our trip to South Africa in June. We really can't wait for the experience of flying business class to South Africa from Atlanta.
I just returned from this flight round trip. The food in Delta Comfort was horrible! I have made this trip on Delta 2 previous times and never was the food as bad as this trip. I made sure on our return flight we bought our own food in the Johannesburg OR Tambo airport. Woolworth's has a fabulous food selection. Was great meeting you at a bush lodge!
Hi Jeb, I'm a new subscriber. I've enjoyed your travels so far on planes, trains and cruise ship. Have you ever traveled from Miami to Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro? I'd like to see that one. Safe travels!
Thank you very much for your inspiring and good videos. How about trying the worlds longest narrowbody route? I think it is CPH - IAD with SAS. Welcome to Scandinavia!
8:00 I agree. Watching lightning from within or above a storm is an awe-inspiring sight.
Agreed. I flew over a huge storm in Central Florida the other night and it was incredible. Above the clouds watching 20-30 lightning flashes. Amazing!
I also agree. Such a lively experience especially noting how safe you are in the plane

Great review but love the bloopers even more!
Gotta look out for those nasal passages! 🤣
I even allow my new bride a Wagyu Steak dinner
$$$$$$. Thanks Jeb
13:00 I believe that’s the escalator underground between F and E concourse. But that’s heading in the direction of E!
One of those flights where the shortest route is over the north pole would be fun! Thanks for the interesting videos!
I might be the odd one out to comment this but:
Amazing choice of watch you have on, Jeb! Wear it in good health! Thanks for all the content you and Suzanne produce.
I remember flying a similar route with SAA from Johannesburg to New York on one of their A340’s back in 2017. Longest flight I’ve ever been on.
I’m pretty sure that escalator is in S terminal going to the lower level for ground transportation. Tho there are a few like it in both the north and south terminals. Nice video as always!
Welcome to my beautiful country!! Hope you have/had a chance to go on Safari 😊
Jeb, I would be interested in worlds longest flight on a 757! I myself endured a United 757 from Newark to Stockholm, that has to be close!
I hope you'll try some train journeys while in South Africa. Even if its just Rovos Rails trip from Pretoria to Cape Town, or the other way around.
As a european, working as a pilot in a major airline in the north, I admire Delta. We have flown with them many times now, when visiting the states. It's not the most luxurious, but it just work.
Would love to see PER to LON, one of the worlds longest flight, great video Jeb, love these plane videos!
Here’s a link to my video about that flight (from a few years ago): ua-cam.com/video/7U7FpOTcfGo/v-deo.html
@@GreenerGrass great ty!
Great content! Africa is on my travel list. Thanks for sharing 🌏✈
Would love to see jeb brooks take on japan airlines from NYC to Tokyo such a long flight
Best reviews! Thanks for it. Greetings from Germany
Jen, I am from Canada and enjoy your videos. I hardly see you do video’s on Canadian airlines. Any you do some on videos on Canadian airlines.
Great video! I see you didn't have a Sprite, but you had a Sprite. Hodinkee should do a collectors video with you!
Love your videos, Jeb! Great job and keep them coming.
I flew that route christmas Eve economy class, best flight ever, wonderful crew. Awesome
13:06 In Munich when you arrive with KLM in Concourse D you have tons of those escalators.
I'm from Johannesburg and I love watching you video and love that you came to my country
(IF the 747 could fly on two engines, for better efficiency, they'd probably still be flying everywhere & anywhere. )
i do not understand. As distance increases takeoff also is longer
First! Thanks for the videos!
I love your videos. I would love to see you do the longest flight in America as well as the longest flight on JetBlue, and the longest flight on a 747 or A380.
2:18 it's sure to drive this 911 from the airport to your home though :) Love the colour.
Great video too!
Always enjoy getting this notification on Saturday
Great long flight! Thank you very much for sharing!
I love your videos. I hate flying but I can live vicariously through you!
Amazing video! I would suggest doing every us airlines' longest flights, then do international carriers!!!
Thanks for the info + video!
The wife and I just upgraded our tickets to Delta one suites for our trip to South Africa in June. We really can't wait for the experience of flying business class to South Africa from Atlanta.
Have a wonderful trip!!
@@GreenerGrassthank you we will thoroughly enjoy it!
Done this flight a couple times to visit the family. Never been able to fly D1 but still enjoyed it.
Safe travels!
been waiting for a new one! fantastic video 🎉😍
Thank you very much for your inspiring and good videos. How about trying the worlds longest narrowbody route?
I think it is CPH - IAD with SAS.
Welcome to Scandinavia!
Yes, it is SK925.
@Jeb Brooks,
You should try Los Angeles to London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic if you can.
you could also try the seasonal qantas flight from sydney to rome with a stop in perth!
