Can Clean Armor be applied and stick on top of any cured painted or stained surfaces? And can any paint be applied and stick on top of cured Clean Armor?

How would this product perform if used for fiberglass lamination? As an alternative to epoxy, polyester, or vinyl resin.

Is that epoxy, urethane or urethane acrylate based?
And is it going to become available in Europe any time soon?

So what he said it’s an “open” grain finish. What about closing the grain first in regards to the guitar maker ?

Work on guitars and we usually pore fill to dead flat/smooth. Is there a Clean Armor product that will pore fill completely? And buff to a high gloss?
    Thank You

The regular formulation works great on most wood. They have a second formulation specifically for oily wood.

I would like to protect wood that will be exposed to the elements with your Clean Armor, but I would also like to paint the wood. Do you have a specific line you recommend for this use? And what types of paints would work best? I'm particularly interested in using your finish to protect painted wood surfaces in and on aircraft.

Any of our top coats can go over a fully cured paint/consumable. For aircraft interiors we have a line of products specifically designed to pass the FAA required burn tests. Please look at our Aircraft line of products on the website.

is this a gallium or mercury uv light?

  • @radiusnorth1675

So different finishes "cure" in different ways, oxidation, evaporation and yours uses UV light. Does this inherently make your product any "tougher" than a finish that "cures" in a different manner?? It certainly seems quicker to cure if speed in finishing is paramount but is it any more resistant to wear and tear?. This appears to need a specialized UV light source, so products are limited by the size of the light?. Interesting but more info would be helpful.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Yes our products are Stronger and Faster than traditional coatings. They are non-permeable, chemical and scratch resistant. Our standard Wood finishes are very tough but our toughest is our Tabletop line. Beware though that tough also means more difficult to sand so our Tabletop line is best used in a no-touch finish type application. For most uses our 700 and 705 are the best.

After application and 5 minutes in direct sunlight, I have areas that are still tacky/sticky. What is the best wat to resolve this issue?

    Not
“Designed for commercial use” if the application is THAT high maintenance. I’ve seen better UV finishes. Don’t act like it’s an all new thing.

Why is he treating this like a lacquer type application? Not much time savings or production application if each piece has to have a high maintenance approach like that. Other UV products seem to have a better application process.
