Is a oil such as Danish clear oil really necessary on a unfinished walnut table before applying the sealer and two coats of exterior finisher. Im thinking about going with the satin or matte finish.
Looks like a great product, to bad it is so hard to communicate to the canadien reseller to start using there product. I am disappointed with the service in BC
It's impressive but - $675.00 =shipping for a gallon of Classical top coat and a quart of sealer. There is no way I could afford this to spray my guitars.
does automotive clear coat self level to high gloss before u uv
I am confused with the different numbers used to identify different containers of clean armour. What info do I use to figure out which one I should use?

Do you have to use a sealer, or can I build up a coat of Ckean Armor Wood 575 Finish
Is that epoxy, urethane or urethane acrylate based? And is it going to become available in Europe any time soon?
is this a gallium or mercury uv light?
Not “Designed for commercial use” if the application is THAT high maintenance. I’ve seen better UV finishes. Don’t act like it’s an all new thing.
Why is he treating this like a lacquer type application? Not much time savings or production application if each piece has to have a high maintenance approach like that. Other UV products seem to have a better application process.
cool, which ones?
Yes his compared to using nano ceramics is way too much work.
So what he said it’s an “open” grain finish. What about closing the grain first in regards to the guitar maker ?
How would this product perform if used for fiberglass lamination? As an alternative to epoxy, polyester, or vinyl resin.
Can Clean Armor be applied and stick on top of any cured painted or stained surfaces? And can any paint be applied and stick on top of cured Clean Armor?
I'm a finish carpenter. For personal projects at home I think spraying would be cost prohibitive. But it seems that glass-like finishes can be achieved with sanding and polishing. I looked at other products maybe 4 or 5 years ago and I didn't see anything that interested me. This does.
I lived in Colorado Springs back in the 80s. My brother and I tried to hike up Pike's Peak. We made it to Barr camp and said to hell with it.
Remarkable.
Is it easy to sand down if you want to apply multiple coats for a glass finish? I do this for a living and I am sick to death of waiting for topcoats to dry.
Work on guitars and we usually pore fill to dead flat/smooth. Is there a Clean Armor product that will pore fill completely? And buff to a high gloss? Thank You
The regular formulation works great on most wood. They have a second formulation specifically for oily wood.
They have a grain filler meant to be used under a topcoat…810 I believe.
I would like to protect wood that will be exposed to the elements with your Clean Armor, but I would also like to paint the wood. Do you have a specific line you recommend for this use? And what types of paints would work best? I'm particularly interested in using your finish to protect painted wood surfaces in and on aircraft.
Any of our top coats can go over a fully cured paint/consumable. For aircraft interiors we have a line of products specifically designed to pass the FAA required burn tests. Please look at our Aircraft line of products on the website.
So different finishes "cure" in different ways, oxidation, evaporation and yours uses UV light. Does this inherently make your product any "tougher" than a finish that "cures" in a different manner?? It certainly seems quicker to cure if speed in finishing is paramount but is it any more resistant to wear and tear?. This appears to need a specialized UV light source, so products are limited by the size of the light?. Interesting but more info would be helpful.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. Yes our products are Stronger and Faster than traditional coatings. They are non-permeable, chemical and scratch resistant. Our standard Wood finishes are very tough but our toughest is our Tabletop line. Beware though that tough also means more difficult to sand so our Tabletop line is best used in a no-touch finish type application. For most uses our 700 and 705 are the best.
Hi, your 454 is this easy to blend & buff out. also can you send to the Uk. Kind Regards Steve Dent Repairs Eu

How well would this adhere to an unsanded prepreg carbon fiber part?
Hi, our composite products have very good adhesion to unsanded prepreg carbon fiber. We recommend, prior to using our composite sealer, that you thoroughly prep with IPA and degloss with 600 or finer abraisive paper, or Scotch-Brite, for the best adhesion.
@@cleanarmor thanks very much!
Excellent product! Definitely would recommend
Thank you for the kind words! We've worked hard to produce a product that is both safe and has fantastic performance.
@@cleanarmor you definitely nailed it! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during testing the durability
How s your uv resin different from from craft resin like Jdiction?
@@pattiobrien5408 in talking with the fellas it's 100% solids so from what I've seen it holds up longer, and is more durable
