you are all anyone needs when they get a 07-08 cbr600rr hahahaha
anything i look up for my new 08 your the first to pop up! Thanks for all the info man.
Great video. I got to check mine in a few minutes with the help of this video. Just got my bike and was happy to see the filter
was brand new!
Excellent video!! Thanks for your help
How often do you need to change the air filter?
how often do you replace the air filter
Thanks for all the info. Leaning more towards the cbr now!
Thanks for watching!
Will it be a problem if I got the k&n filter instead?
You're super cheesy but also awesome. Thanks for the help. Would not have figured that out on my own.
whats up cyclecruza, how much did you pay for the OEM air filter? I'm thinking about getting K&N and i found it for $89 something.
Why dont you use a K&N or BMC filter?
I have a 2009.i see some ppl having a gold bracket around there filter and some don't..
Hey cruza. Been watching all your vids for a while now and was set on getting a r6 this spring (ninja300 currently). But I went to amotorcyle show this weekend and sat on the r6 and it was preety uncomfortable. I'm really stating to lean towards the 08-09 cbr! Thannks
Thanks for watching! The R6 is a sick-looking bike but it's ALL TRACK ORIENTED. Many riders are just focused on the looks of a bike and don't realize that looks does not equate into street comfort. The R6 is thee worst bike when it comes to street comfort. The cbr600rr is the best and always has been known as a more comfortable supersport for the streets (Also the cbr1000rr). If you are going to get a cbr600rr, get a 2007 or 2008. In 2009, Honda reduced the hp a bit due to emissions BS. Imo, the 2007+ cbr600rr is the greatest all-around sport bike you will ever know, at least thus far. It has rock solid reliability (Never had a recall), fast, has linear power throughout the powerband, comfortable seat, raised clip-ons that will prevent wrist fatigue, has a FUEL GAUGE, under-tail exhaust (with no heat issues at the seat), the engine is the official engine of Moto2, easy to work on, etc, etc. I can go on and on all day about this bike. Just get it and thank me later. (Honda needs to pay me) lol
Where did you find a torque wcrewdriver that is small enough to get in there to tighten the bolts up ?
Not, where....WHAT..... CDI is the company your looking for.
If I have ninja 300 and riding from LA to San Diego, how often should I stop and let's the bike cool down? And for how long should I let it cool down?
Don't stop! Keep on cruising. Gas stops should be sufficient. Stay safe!
the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why did you unplug anything?
doing your own maintenance is the bomb :-)
Saves a bundle and it's easy as long as you don't run into a stripped bolt. lol
CycleCruza I hate it when I do that, lol.
Tina Camacho My #1 petpeeve. lol
If I change the oil myself, will it affect the price of the bike when I resell it? I mean if it shows on my bikefax, when I bought my car I I saw where all the services had done!.
No, just make sure to keep receipts of the oil and parts you bought and keep a log of the maintenance you performed.
thanks!
How much would it cost to have the oil changed at the dealer or any service center?.
Probably about the same as a car, about $40 + tax. Cost if you do it yourself is about $15 or less.
Where did you get your OEM air filter from. I'm having a hard time finding OEM parts for my 07 cbr600rr.
Honda East, they have the best prices and their website has a blow up chart that will illustrate and list every single part on your bike. Here is the link: www.hondaeasttoledo.net/OEMpartfinder.htm
Thanks CycleCruza!
That is a great website for Honda parts.
I have a 2012 Honda CBR600rr. Is this the same (filter) removal process? Thanks!
Should be.
Communities for the 600rr aren't pretty small but there still plenty of public posts from very public riders.
Haven't seen one yet! 😡😡😡
Roughly how often do air filters need to be changed, and is it different for smaller bikes, like say a Ninja 300?
Check your manual. Depends on the bike and where you live. if you live in dry dusty conditions you'll want to check it more often. I check mine every riding season, so once a year. You don't have to always replace it, you can clean the air filter with compressed air.
CycleCruza Thanks. I live in Canada... nice and humid. I think I can handle checking it at the end of each summer and blasting it with my compressor if still in good condition. I read the manual front to back (was really bored a few weeks back, lol) and I don't remember it mentioning air filters unfortunately, go figure.
good to know about cleaning, much appreciated.
SEE BEE AAHH SIXHUNDRED DOUBLE AAHHH!! :D
OH YEAHHH!
43000 miles on my 2011, time for its first air filter change. Don’t judge me😊
There is 4 screws holding the filter on 09+ you had a mistake in another video too bro. Change to 07-08 or some one is gonna tank the filter and break
Iove the resident evil 2 zombie! Lol
😂 what a save !!!!
Good video. I agree with you, OEM is best! I always use Honda filters and Honda oil in my bikes!
Thanks! You can never go wrong with OEM.
Aryan8Pride8 The k&n air filter takes in more air, will compromise engine management and can bring problems. I've heard many bad stories. Different oil and oil filter will not bring much change, if any, to the bike.
+CycleCruza So you wouldn't recommend going with an aftermarket cold air intake for my bike then? Would it give the bike a throatier sound?
you should try the K&N permanent filter. It costs about 80 bucks but its worth it in the long run. You never have to change this filter. you only have to clean and ad some oil to it every 5k miles or so
Nothing K&N is worth it. If you have to oil an air filter its not a good investment! means its crap
awesome video... well.... i haaaaaad a 2005 CBR600RR.. now i don't..... crashed monday morning on the way to work cause some dumb bitch pulled out in front of me and just stopped covering my lane and i tried to swerve to miss her and clipped the right bumper of the car..
Thanks! Sorry to hear, that sucks. Good to hear you are ok though, at least I assume you are ok since you were able to comment here. I hope you get paid well for that bs. If you get another bike get a 2007/2008 cbr600rr, you'll be pleasantly surprised how much faster the bike is.
CycleCruza oh yeah.. just ended up with a couple road rashes on my knees and one on my forearm a swollen foot which didn't last but a day or two, and only fractured my pinky toe... but yeah monday i go to the state patrols office to get the report, and see if they can't help me with the title cause the fk tard that sold it to me had a void copy and he just hasn't gotten me the damn actual title... then i can get all quote on the bike and get it all out the way...
Torque specs for such things just plainly do not matter, you wont see a mechanic bother with it for anything non vital
It's best to stick with the service manual's instructions down to every last detail. A good mechanic doesn't take shortcuts, reason why I try to do most of the maintenance myself. When I have to take the bike to a mechanic it will be a certified Honda mechanic and at a reputable Honda dealership.
+Onoff314 , then you get a new mechanic. Only a poor mechanic or a lazy mechanic doesn't use torque specs
air fliter? lol
At least get bmc or k&n , stock filters are sucks
This dude thinks he's so cool. 😂
Horrible video of explaining
