As a mechanic I will definitely attest to how great the cordless ratchets are. I have used the three majors snap on, Matco and Milwaukee. Of the three Milwaukee was the best of them all. My snap on initially was the best with the most torque however, over time that was lost as the battery died. Matco was and still is great but I can only use it for small jobs for the most part. My Milwaukee is average use so I still depend on my other two but for a residential mechanic. ( no offense guys) The warranty is better battery has an issue send it back they send you a brand new one. They do not question if you purchase the extended warranty either. Now as he states snapon better warranty is great the first year after that you just flushed $399 down the drain is it breaks. Not to mention they will give you the test of the ages to get it fixed under warranty if your within time. I would recommend the Milwaukee any day. They make great tools and they stand behind their product years down the road. However, do not buy the ones for harbor freight unless you truly only want it for small projects. I think I should make a video showing the differences in the tools.
This was EXTREMELY helpful. I hit a deer which took out my drivers side fender. This video made it easy to remove my fender and replace it without any surprises or moments where i went "What the hell is still holding this fender on"
Great video, pretty much explains everything. I have to change front fenders on my 03 Silverado and now it will be much easier after watching you. Thanks
Thank you for the video I watched it all and I did the fender myself with your video step by step and I appreciate it because you saved me lots of money 😂👌🏽
That was awesome and hugely helpfull, thanks! You should have your partner say hello on the video to. She's obviously helping allot! I think my wife would help too if not for the 3yr old :) I'm about to tackle this same job. But my fender is completely rusted out. I also think the electrical box / fusebox bolts are in a slightly different orientation (2004LLY)
When it comes to Milwaukee battery power they way out do snapon in quality and price I've worked in automotive/diesel/and forklift industry I've used both and milwaukee best by far in every battery tool
I just did this job myself If they built the rest of the truck as sturdy as the fender it would be great. I've never understood why you need 35 bolts in a fender lol
Nice. The hood alignment with the fender looked different at the front with the new fender vs the old one. Looks like the fender is sticking out about 3/4" to the side at the front of the truck. It's weird.
Man that sucks that you got a good deal and then still had to paint it. You were probably kicking yourself in the ass when you notice the two different paints.
How do you readjust the fender tho? My tire hit the wheel well after I hit a nasty pothole and when I opened the door it crumpled the fender on the middle part
Makes sense. I did do most of my fender today. I ended up removing the grill and lights to give myself more space. Now just trying to straighten out the hood.
relating back to an older video --- in your Custom gmc 2500hd emblems video how did you get the emblem so clean i have done the same with my 2500 hd truck and i cant get the emblem clean enough to paint
Mitchell Kennedy I used my wife’s nail polish remover carefully, don’t use to much and isopropyl alcohol. If I remember right it did take some time. I also think I used a razor blade on some of the left over residue.
that ratchet Will let you down I bought one and after a month it would smoke and then stop working all together then I Bought a cheap off brand knock off but It works great .
Curious my brother? Mine is a 2002 diesel four-wheel drive 2500 is that the same setup that you got right there and is that the same fender and what did you consider a good price for your finger I'm trying to find one for 30 40 50 bucks tops they're trying to charge $200 for it all over online??? My brother did you say fitment? That's what my dad always has to use but I'm sorry it's not the right one

Shane K glad I could help
Thanks for the info, it will save me alot of time.
Thank you for the video I watched it all and I did the fender myself with your video step by step and I appreciate it because you saved me lots of money 😂👌🏽
Great video, very informative, I plan on using the 03-07 Silverado front end for my 96 Tahoe that I've already done a manual conversion on.
The ratchet hitting the body when lossening the positive had me in the edge of my seat lol
Thanks for posting this video. It will make my fender replacement a whole lot easier.
Thanks for the help... I couldn’t figure out the fuse box removal
Dude your video helped me a ton, I’m doing the exact same thing!
Perfect overview. Thank you!

Garrett Aycock glad I could help

This video saved me a lot of time.
Tanks for sharing its help a lot tanks again
Great Video!!! Saved me a ton of hassle man... 👍
Broken bolt on exhaust manifold next to firewall! Fender removal will make it possible to drill and eazy out without removing head. Ty.
Dude you doing geat job thank you and the wife
Well, seems this is something I’ve got to do after taking out a mailbox.. is this the same process essentially for the passenger? Great video!
Yes for the most part, if you go on my channel I have a video for the passenger side as well. Hope this helps
I got a bird nest in my truck, this video will help so much
Thank you for the video! Helped a lot
I've fought those plastic pop rivets for 15 years with needle nose plyers, worst part is I've got that tool and never knew what it was.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Michele Dykeman Glad I could help!
THANKS YOU FOR SPREAD YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO PEOPLE I LEANED SOME THINGS NEW THANKS YOU
I just did this job myself
If they built the rest of the truck as sturdy as the fender it would be great. I've never understood why you need 35 bolts in a fender lol
excellent job excellent tools thanks ,love that beard

Thanks, I’m going to NorCal cut my fenders without removing them now
Super helpful video thanks a bunch
Useful af appreciate it
Thanks for posting my truck is identical just an 05 and my femders are completly rotted at the bottoms
So this can be done without taking the hood off right? I didn’t understand which one was easier by taking it off.
This helped a lot!
Glad I could help.
Got a 2000 gasser for 800 bucks from a tree farm and the fenders are rusted up to the hood....This will save my bacon both pulling and replacing them
Thank you so much continue the great work got my subscription, one more question though how has the 3m glue held up over the years
Thanks man!!!!
Thanks man
Man that sucks that you got a good deal and then still had to paint it. You were probably kicking yourself in the ass when you notice the two different paints.
So wait... Can the fender not be separated from the fender support? Are they one piece?
How do you readjust the fender tho? My tire hit the wheel well after I hit a nasty pothole and when I opened the door it crumpled the fender on the middle part
Do u necessarily have to take the hood off ?
great video thanks you
Luis Torres thanks for watching, hope it helped you.
Just rewatching, not sure why you needed to remove the headlights and grill. Was it so you could clear the hood hinge bolt? Thanks!
gary lucas removed the headlights and grill just to get the working space more open. I was also replacing the grill later on.
Makes sense. I did do most of my fender today. I ended up removing the grill and lights to give myself more space. Now just trying to straighten out the hood.
What headlight bulbs are you running on there? The fanned ones I bought don't fit.
relating back to an older video --- in your Custom gmc 2500hd emblems video how did you get the emblem so clean i have done the same with my 2500 hd truck and i cant get the emblem clean enough to paint

Do the fenders and hood usually line back up straight with just bolting new fender on? Seems like no room to adjust with that many bolts
Eric Butler yes it lines up fairly good with minimal adjustment.
that ratchet Will let you down I bought one and after a month it would smoke and then stop working all together then I Bought a cheap off brand knock off but It works great .
Thank You!!!
Glad to help!
Is the process similar for the old 1500 style that the chevy tahoes also used during this time
Peter D not 100% sure but it should be. If your doing a Tahoe you’ll have to get fenders, headlights, headlight brackets, hood, grill and bumper.
Are you shooting this with a GoPro?
For the fender flares in the back is it the same way to take those out too?
Steezy Trill yep, thanks for watching
On a 01 Chevy 2500 you don't have to remove the headlights! I found out the hard way
For sure we useful a
What’s the name and model of that ratchet?
Milwaukee 2457-20 M12 Cordless 3/8" Lithium-Ion Ratchet
Was this a Mexican built truck or a U.S. built truck?
your wifes truck looks like my chevy 1500 hd, in terms of paint.
It's Olympic white. Take it to a shop and have it painted. easy.
Is it about the same for the passenger side?
Yep, I have a video for passenger side as well I believe.
@@ProjectDuramax thank you! I might need to do some bodywork to my truck, and that will come in real handy.
A 2002 will fit on a 2004? Anyone know? I don't see why not
Wow, there is a lot of shit involved to pulling a fender on one of these trucks lol.
Will this help me for 2005 Yukon 5.3L
Should be very similar if not exact
@@ProjectDuramax awesome thanks it’s a great video
Instructions unclear I have no friends to help
Anti vibration? It's a battery hold down bracket. SMFH
😂
@@ProjectDuramax LOL.... they use to be stamped metal but plastic is cheaper and lighter
u talk too much
Curious my brother? Does the fender have 2 pieces that are bolted together?
Thank you!!
What brand are those headlights??
