You probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Kasen Yusuf I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Very nice. As a welder fabricator, I think you guys did a good job. I'm going to be trying this when I get 2 weeks off in July. Pretty hyped to bang it out, especially when there's gents like you putting videos up showing how. Cheers!
God Bless you for taking the time to make this video with SOOO much detailed information. You gave me the courage to take this job on myself on my 2007 Silverado Classic Crew Cab
I’m getting ready to replace my inner and outer rocker panels on my 04 Silverado. My sandblaster is a pressure washer gun with a siphon hose, 5 gallon bucket of salt, and air. Works great. Yes this is a job. I’ve already done a few of these trucks. Great video!
How bad? I mean is it do-able in a weekend. I have experience with some minor body and cab repair and decent at welding. Im just worried about the filler and bondo portions. I have heard sander n paint makes you a body guy you aint 😂
Hey bro, Thanks so much for this video. I am in the starting processes of restoring my 95 Chevy C2500 (5.7 not a Duramax) and one of the big things I am worried about is repairing the body, which is in bad shape. Rocker panels, cab corners, and doors are all rusted very bad and the bed is non existent and polishing the frame luckily that is still solid just has a lot of surface rust that I can see so far. Even though I am not quit there this video gave me a lot of knowledge that I did not have. I am a mechanic and don't know squat about making body repairs but this video eased a lot of my worry and gave me a little confidence. If anyone has any tips on good places to get new body panels, paint and such I would greatly appreciate it. Keep being awesome!
Your video helped me huuuuuge. I have hardly done any body work the right way before and after watching yours a couple of times. I tackled my fathers T ruk for him. Its his baby and he was bummed and to old and to broke to do it himself or to pay for it to be done. Thanks a ton keep up the good work.
NICE JOB! We're from Port Huron and I'm doing all this on My '03 S10 w/478k. Runs like a champ but looks like dirty pig just from the last 2 yrs of Michigan salt. Getting ready to retire and gonna take it down to the frame and redo the whole right and bring it back to the Life it had in LA. They don't make trucks like that anymore...sad BUT we DIY'ers dive in. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!
I was looking for information on putting on a cab corner which your video didn't really contain. Still, just wanted to give a thumbs up for a properly edited video.
Awesome job man! Looks amazing! I love your videos, very detailed information and you do it the RIGHT way! Thank you for posting these videos. The how to's have helped me tremendously!
great information ill be doing this soon, thanks for sharing. but dude, put a blanket in that door to keep the sparks out of the cab hahaha. i like your style!
your make your life that much easier and get a spot weld cutter. its basicly a drill but made to drill out spot welds and it wont go through whatever your drilling, well arleast it shouldnt go through but thats all on the operator. but good stuff man, not to many get as in depth as you when it comes to your vids.
i have replacement rockers sitting in the shop, hopefully get to it when work slows down a bit this winter... gonna use the cheap harbor freight titanium flux core welder i bought... Ive painted a few show cars so not worried there but havent welded since high school
Hey sir, great video! You can use smaller compressors with a LVLP ( Low Volume Low Pressure ) spray guns. Your compressor won't run near as much! Again, great job!
You need some fiberglass welding blankets, you can get from harbor freight. It will save your interior. Also, weld thru primer the panels you are welding, it will cut down on rust coming back from welding. Otherwise, great job
so there is an inner & an outter panel i wondered all this time if there was...... & if most drive way guy's / gals replace both inner & outter or just the outter usually........ where u get the brand new outter rocker panel & how much roughly........????????????????
You really should've done the inner rockers, sand blast and rust preventative will only work for so long in our states. Plus when you do the inner rockers it actually makes the job easier.
@ 5 30 WE SEE A PORTABLE ON WHEEL'S SAND BLASTER.... what that usually rent's for usually / roughly...... & what sort of sand r u using to sand blast..... ( can it be bought from like lowes or home depot )...........?????
Great video. Reminds me of back in the day when I was a body man/painter for 12yrs. Only concern I have is not having the whole truck masked off with plastic to stop any overspray but all in all, good job!
This is a great video. Keep those great looking trucks on the road. Newer trucks suck I want to sell my 2016 Silverado it’s crap with a cheap factory paint job that chips away.
Nice bro, looking good. It looks like a ton of work. Thank you for the info! I need to do mine and now I know at least how involved the bodywork is. I wonder how to get away with painting just the rockers and corners and not the hole truck. Can't wait to see it with fresh paint! Keep up the good work man!
Great video m had a shop quote me $2500. I have an 05 Silverado what compressor would you recommend for yourself? Watching your video you made it look easy 🎉
Bruh y’all replacing these rockers but they’re mint. Y’all lucky you have rockers cause my truck hasn’t had them in like 5 years and it’s about to lose a rear door.😂 Thanks for the video tho, where my Michiganders at?
I am going to try my best to fix my 2006 Silverado 4x4 v8 truck. It has rust on rockers too just like this one. The bed as well but not as bad, but I am gonna end up getting a step side so I ain’t worrying about it. Going to try my best on fixing my truck, never really done anything work like this going to try my best though
My truck is the newer 07' Silverado and I am in need of inner and outer rocker panels also cab corners desperately. Any advice on DIY them would be much appreciated and I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.
what kind of welder are you using? I guess what I need to know is, at 10:26, If I was to use a MIG welder, would it fill in that gap? I need to learn to weld and need to purchase a welder specifically for this job. Thanks. Great video and how many hours does this job take, so I can multiply by 5 for a novice. Much thanks. I haven't done body work in 30 years.
wow, incredible video really educates me on how indepth the process actually is. Good work - any tips on ways to prevent and extend the longevity of those new rockers?
Go to Harbor freight and buy their spot weld drill kit. It has multiple sizes, is cheap and works well for the money. If you have a TON of spot welds to drill, maybe buy 2 kits. They are cheap!
I wanted to get in their and cut that old rocker and corners out. Nice job especially with welding and grinding, a ton of work. Curious on the air compressor for that kind of work.
Curious to if you used a weld through primer on the inside of all those pinch welds? Or maybe that is not a very good product either, Ive heard both ways to use it because it will set again after being welded and others have said it isn't worth using because it doesn't work.
Finally! An American youtube rocker repair video that doesnt involve expanding foam, 12kg of bondo & zero welding!
Nice work!
Thanks
You probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Kylan Alexzander instablaster :)
@Kasen Yusuf I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process now.

@Kasen Yusuf It worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
Very nice. As a welder fabricator, I think you guys did a good job. I'm going to be trying this when I get 2 weeks off in July. Pretty hyped to bang it out, especially when there's gents like you putting videos up showing how. Cheers!
If only you could help me I need to learn to weld first 😅
@Sxvaqe-_- just turn on the machine and melt stuff. Youll get better
God Bless you for taking the time to make this video with SOOO much detailed information. You gave me the courage to take this job on myself on my 2007 Silverado Classic Crew Cab

Nice job. Funny, replacing those rockers. Most of us up in the north would kill to have rockers that good...LOL Most of ours are completely gone!
Thanks 🙏
I haven't used a Binks No 7 style siphon gun in over 20 years. Thanks for the nostalgia.

I'm about to start mine on my 04 crew cab this weekend.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very informative and love your truck sir.
I just picked up my new rockers and cab corners. This video gave me a much better idea as to what is involved. Truck will look good when you are done.
I was looking for information on putting on a cab corner which your video didn't really contain. Still, just wanted to give a thumbs up for a properly edited video.
Harbor freight sells a spotweld cutter that's cheap, fast and works great for what it is
Duramax 315 4.99
I use them all the time work just as good if not better then some of the expensive kit I have had in the past
If you use wax with them they will stay sharp a lot longer! Just drill the wax block slightly and then drill the weld.
Great job fellas. Your how to videos are always top notch. Very informative and helpful. Darn salted roads. Keep on keepin on...
Huge shout out to the Truckmaster. Couldn't imagine doing this to my old girl but the time is now 😎
Thanks 👍
Man I was losing motivation on my 97 powerstroke but after this video I can say I’ve regained motivation! Thanks and nice video man!
Thanks
Just a tip you can use a centre point drill that they use in lathes to drill out the spot welds.
That guy really knows his stuff
Great job! I've gotta replace cab corners and rockers on my 98 Chevy, and up until now I was just gonna replace the cab
Awesome job man! Looks amazing! I love your videos, very detailed information and you do it the RIGHT way! Thank you for posting these videos. The how to's have helped me tremendously!
I work at a collision shop down in Texas I've done that stuff in Alaska I don't have to worry about it down here
I've done this to 3 different Chevys it's a lot of work good job
Andrew Scott thanks
Nice job.... you should try using a flap wheel disc to bring those welds down... works a ton better
Really that’s a good tip
Thanks I have the same truck. Respect from northern Ontario Canada
I just got into 00 Silverado this video was very helpful
On my o4 crewcab took the center post out 6".up. put in all new replacement rocker
Great video on what it takes to do this job. The truck is really coming along.
Awesome job ! I knew you could do it . And for your experienced friend to help what can you say but thanks he is a true craftsman. Have a great night.
Thanks
great information ill be doing this soon, thanks for sharing. but dude, put a blanket in that door to keep the sparks out of the cab hahaha. i like your style!
Love the video keep up the great job buddy, also this is very good instructions to keep track of

patrick crawford haha, wish i could help all of the trucks out there. Thanks 👍
Bro it’s looking badass!! Keep up the great content!
Your truck would look awesome painted candy brandy, looks like candy apple red but darker!
They make drill bits specifically for drilling out spot welds.
Nice job well done! Looks perfect. I’m from Dimondale and work for L&L construction.I’ll probably see your truck on the road
your make your life that much easier and get a spot weld cutter. its basicly a drill but made to drill out spot welds and it wont go through whatever your drilling, well arleast it shouldnt go through but thats all on the operator. but good stuff man, not to many get as in depth as you when it comes to your vids.
Thanks I bought one of those for the other side
i have replacement rockers sitting in the shop, hopefully get to it when work slows down a bit this winter... gonna use the cheap harbor freight titanium flux core welder i bought... Ive painted a few show cars so not worried there but havent welded since high school
This is the correct way to do this job. Welds and finishing could be a bit better, but I am nit-picking at that point.
One of your best videos!
Thanks man it’s was a lot of work
Hey sir, great video! You can use smaller compressors with a LVLP ( Low Volume Low Pressure ) spray guns. Your compressor won't run near as much! Again, great job!

That was my Q. Etch primer . also looked back to see the first coat was glass. looking good
Awesome as always. Just so you know I flashed my starlite tunes in tonight. Highly recommend
That’s good to hear 👍
Incredibly clean
so there is an inner & an outter panel i wondered all this time if there was...... & if most drive way guy's / gals replace both inner & outter or just the outter usually........ where u get the brand new outter rocker panel & how much roughly........????????????????
What if you gotta replace the inner rocker too. Is there any inner rocker replacement videos out there.
I'd recommend I flap disc on the grinder smooths it and nocks welld down
You really should've done the inner rockers, sand blast and rust preventative will only work for so long in our states. Plus when you do the inner rockers it actually makes the job easier.
I'd also suggest using a weldable primer, when doing rust repair work.
Should've used the body line on the cab corner as your paint blending area.
@ 5 30 WE SEE A PORTABLE ON WHEEL'S SAND BLASTER.... what that usually rent's for usually / roughly...... & what sort of sand r u using to sand blast..... ( can it be bought from like lowes or home depot )...........?????
best rocker video on the internet!! love the channel!
Ik this would be expensive but I think it would be pretty cool to do. but I think you should wrap your truck to a “black chrome” like whistlin diesel
I was totally thinking that
What is I have nothing to punch weld to on the bottom once replacing
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Chevy's and GMC's but DAMN do I hate this one thing about them... Awesome video guys!!!!!!!!!
Thanks and I totally agree
where did you purchase the rockers and cab corners .im in the market
Great video. Reminds me of back in the day when I was a body man/painter for 12yrs. Only concern I have is not having the whole truck masked off with plastic to stop any overspray but all in all, good job!

thanks for posting....my rockers are a lot worse than yours but after wtching you I think I'll tackle them.
Any videos of cab corner fit up out there?
Great video m had a shop quote me $2500. I have an 05 Silverado what compressor would you recommend for yourself? Watching your video you made it look easy 🎉
They didn't look too bad in the beginning I guess I just seen WV trucks all my life so it wasn't to bad to me but nice job
Hey I noticed on this video that you sandblasted the inner rockers, did you use that same compressor? If so how did it do?
Looks great. I cant wait to see the video of the duramax when its done.
One hell of a truck need one of these for my daily driver.
That’s what I getting done on my 2002 3500 Chevy Dually Duramax . Next are blown head gasket and injectors . 176000 miles that sucks ! One owner ! ME
Bruh y’all replacing these rockers but they’re mint. Y’all lucky you have rockers cause my truck hasn’t had them in like 5 years and it’s about to lose a rear door.😂 Thanks for the video tho, where my Michiganders at?
Dude that's awesome!! Now the fun begans..💪🤙
When painting. Do long sweeps. You dont wanna do a bunch of little patches then paint the whole thing... just paint the whole thing
When you put the screws in to test the doors, did you also put screws in underneath in the bottom of the rocker panel?
My truck is the newer 07' Silverado and I am in need of inner and outer rocker panels also cab corners desperately. Any advice on DIY them would be much appreciated and I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.
Great Work! Probably saved a big chunk of money too.
1st time doing autobody. What size drill you use to drill out the spot welds?
Save yourself the hassle and just buy a spot weld cutting bit.
what kind of welder are you using? I guess what I need to know is, at 10:26, If I was to use a MIG welder, would it fill in that gap? I need to learn to weld and need to purchase a welder specifically for this job. Thanks. Great video and how many hours does this job take, so I can multiply by 5 for a novice. Much thanks. wow, incredible video really educates me on how indepth the process actually is. Good work - any tips on ways to prevent and extend the longevity of those new rockers?
So I have the exact truck, need to know where did you get them and what exactly did you order? Having a time trying not to order the wrong parts
Amy chance you wanna list the tools used?
Great content man. I’ll be starting the rockers and cab corners on my LB7 in a few weeks, so this was a good watch!
Nice content and editing, keep up the good work. See y'all this summer.
can I get a link to the rockers? where to buy them? thanks
is there any chance you have the part number for the new rockers
This video was great. Very thorough. Much appreciated.
Awesome job Josh. Thank you as always for the videos.
Thanks mike
Wow, you guys do awesome work. This is such an awesome video.
Thanks
@@TruckMaster where can i buy the rockpanel?
You have a link for the rockers you used ?
I've been waiting for this video. Great work so far. So what is the new color going to be? Red? Camouflage? White?
Tractor Supply sells Aluminum Oxide Media pretty cheap. it is a-lot more agressive when your trying to remove rust then Walnut shells
I see both inner & outer rockers for sale. I'm guessing a person should get both?
Nice rust repair
Thanks
Saranac Michigan here!
What’s the toll list needed. I’m going to do this
I would replace my rocker with the one you took off. That’s clean!
3:15 👀 never mind.
are those "slip on" rockers? i'm so confused to what i need
WHAT SIZE DRILL BIT IS THAT U R USING TO DRILL OUT ALL THE SPOT WELD'S.......
Go to Harbor freight and buy their spot weld drill kit. It has multiple sizes, is cheap and works well for the money. If you have a TON of spot welds to drill, maybe buy 2 kits. They are cheap!
Where can you buy the replacements from?
I wanted to get in their and cut that old rocker and corners out. Nice job especially with welding and grinding, a ton of work. Curious on the air compressor for that kind of work.
What would you call the piece behind the rocker panel? Is it stamped into the floor of the truck or is there a repair panel for that too?
it's called the inner rocker panel, and it's not part of the floor, it comes out like the outer rocker
As for the dust problems, just get an air blow gun and blow it away, then maybe vacuum.
Curious to if you used a weld through primer on the inside of all those pinch welds? Or maybe that is not a very good product either, Ive heard both ways to use it because it will set again after being welded and others have said it isn't worth using because it doesn't work.
Where did you buy your replacement parts? (website)
Can we get a link to the exact rockers you used
Hello you have link or where u bought these from
Great video! Was there any precautions you took concerning your trucks computer and welding?
Unhook your batteries and keep your ground as close to the weld as you can and you’ll be fine
