    Looks like a crazy shoulder day ! I’m slowly introducing my 12 yr old to fitness and the gym. It’d be great to lift seriously with him in a few yrs

    • @franciscoguerrajr155
      @franciscoguerrajr155 6 років тому

      misses nezbit I am what I’ve wanted to be, and I do know , he won’t touch weights for a few yrs. Now he’s doing conditioning and body weight training and it’s on him when he wants to I don’t push anything on him. I enjoy them being their age and wouldn’t do anything to put them in any kind of danger. I appreciate your concern though.

    So glad I found your channel. I have been doing these exercises and I’m shredding out. People see me lifting these light weights and doing these targeting exercises and wonder wtf is this idiot doing. All the guys at my gym never look any different with zero definition and they work on the same exercises to look strong. It’s taken me a long to time to realize I’d rather be healthy and look shredded rather than have a ton of weight on the bench and look strong. Love your content.

    The shoulder anatomy is how one needs to train. The exterior/side is one that contributes to the overall look and strength and it has lowered my shoulder joint pain since focusing on warming them up first.
    Alternating shoulder presses have by far improved my tension and form .
    I also do isometric lat raises. .bent forward on a bench about 15 reps then switch side dumbbells really burn well here.

    • @marlon1171
      @marlon1171 3 роки тому

      Of course steroids or not you must put in the work but without them you just have to work harder, smarter, longer and you have to be even more consistent and like it or not that’s a fact.

    I'm working out from home. I am limited to a barbell, 300 lbs of weight and 2 20lb dumbells. I am super setting front, side and rear delts with push ups. Each delt raise goes with a different push up. It is a serious amount of volume and where I don't have a bench it helps to place more work on the pecs. Is that a good idea? I use the dumbells first and finish with the barbell. I include reverse grip over head presses on that day. I do squat presses on leg day where I do behind the head and front standing military presses at the top of every squat, raising the weight from just the bar, adding 10 lbs each set, until I can't finish the press and then I just do cleans with front squats until I max. When I first started lifting many years ago I never isolated delts and I seem to be front delt dominate. I have large traps and it really pronounces a flat appearance of the side delt. I do my upright rows with my bent over rows into dead lifts super setting shrugs to make the 300lbs more difficult (bar adding 10lbs all the way up). Is it possible that I just have shotty side delts?

    For healthy shoulders the traps and delts should work in synergy. The delts move the humerus and the traps move the scapula so the subacromial space stays intact throughout the movement. In rear delts the scapula should move back and forth and therefore the trapz should work hard. If not you will move the tendons in the shoulder into a narrower space back and forth aka grinding the tendons. Rear flyes is one if the most dangerous exercises for causing shoulder impingement problems because people are taught by bro science not to use their trapz.
