I will try making money next to watch you guys I love your videos serious ones and non serious I feel like I'm close to your channel and videos kinda creepy💀
Absolutely agree
Not a fair measure. Most of the world's population lived under some form of capitalism from 1700s to 1930s. From the 1930-90s most lived under socialist politicians.
Capitalists came with facts. Communists came with feelings.
Not gonna lie at this point jubilee should just do actual debates and allow the guest to prepare and come with both statistics and anecdotes that way you get the numbers and reality side of whatever topic it is
Yesssss!!!
Well plenty of their guests come on prepared. Two on the capitalism side are political pundits online, and so is at least one on the communism side. These videos usually 50% or more of them come in with the talking points ready to go.
I liked how they did it with Undecided where there was a moderator up there with them keeping everyone on track and asking follow-up questions.
I absolutely agree they both get sited information and also are able to know the prompts as well as have fact on hands!!
yes, its embarrassing when one side is so ill prepared they get absolutely bodied
Again, this series desperately needs:
1) Live fact checking
2) Better moderation
3) Better preparation from the participants (encourage them to come with stats and articles and numbers)
So many of these discussions go off the rails bc people are saying things that either aren't true or aren't on prompt and it's so frustrating.
Often times it seems like they select people who are knowledgeable on their opinion, only on one side, just like in the Palestine one a few days ago. They should have had Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank, who had lived experiences to speak. Not “my aunt” story. The amount of lies that went unchecked was gross.
@@cutewithoutheetbs0282 read my comment above
You need live fact checking because you lack underlying knowledge. Stop being lazy and inform yourself first before you form uninformed opinions 😁
And who’s in charge of the fact checking? The people who think men can get pregnant?
They cast actors and influencers for these debates. Some they call in multiple times for different topics. They actually need to get knowledgeable experts to debate these topics.

I just want it known some things can suck while also saying other things suck
If Jubilee decides to start fact checking these debates, they’re would be so much more valuable
Completely disagree. Just look at the fact checking sites we have now that have a clear bias. I think we should let the conversation stand for itself without the channel going “um actually, according to cherry-picked sources, this is incorrect”
I disagree, placing the burden of fact checking on jubilee is a dangerous thing. They’re supposed to only be the medium, if they suddenly begin shutting people down, the conversation would devolve. Secondly, certain so called “fact checkers” might have vested interest in individual subjects. In the end, the responsibility of fact checking always comes back to you.
You have a cpu in your pocket to read the literature
You can’t fact check with no bias anymore that’s why they don’t do it
@@bighuncho_can you believe the audacity
I think this is the first time jubilee has brought on real leftists and not neoliberal democrafts and while it was definitely refreshing, the conversation seemed to go in too many directions to be cohesive. I think middleground needs a much more active moderator to keep everyone on track. No one actually even discussed the first prompt about power, it went straight into a general argument of capitalism vs communism in general.
100% agree, the constant interrupts and not allowing people to finish their points makes this episode unwatchable
its like they all wanted to get out their own personal take they prepared beforehand
😂that's these radical leftists
What distinguished these yuppie cosplaying "real" leftists from "neoliberal" Democrats?
Not saying the Capitalist side had much to offer substantively, either. They all struck me as varying shades of educated fools spouting theory and preset rhetoric at each other, no real world solutions.
So glad all these leftists have zero power in the government now
Molomo trying his hardest to play the nice guy but being extremely condescending and not taking into any consideration any of the points being mentioned is crazyyyy.
He definitely has a persecution complex. Super transparent when he tried to tell one of the capitalists that she was being "demeaning" when she was defining communism.
@@AppleOfThineEye he’s the living definition of wanting the cake and eating it too.
He's insufferable. "stop interrupting" as he interrupts everyone else. Then he totally agrees that government aid makes people lazy but he's supposed to be a Communist?
He acts so politically correct but I got such misogynistic vibes from him. The way he continually puts his hand over his mouth and smirks when Hannah starts to speak… so rude.
Molomo thinks he’s smarter than he is
It’s really annoying when a conversation starts actually getting somewhere or someone is making their point and they eventually just cut to the next prompt. They’ve done it much more often recently and then started charging you to go watch their full version. I don’t want to pay for the full version if it’s still gonna be lackluster question topics, people consistently cutting each other off with no moderation and their arguments eventually getting cut off to get to the next topic. I would pay/support if it meant the quality would be better but it’s literally the same video with an extra topic.

I feel like jubilee should have a mediator that makes sure no one gets interrupted and an after credits where everyone’s points are fact-checked. I can see these videos being educational in seeing other perspectives but I think Jubilee need to make sure misinformation isn’t being spread.
So you are not a proponent of free speech is what you’re saying.
@@jonathanlee-cf1vf Making sure people are able to finish what they are saying & correcting any possible, or even perceived, mistakes after people have been able to say what they want is not an imposition on free speech. These days, I would be concerned about the accuracy of the "fact checking", but even if the fact checking was entirely misrepresenting the facts of the topic, it still wouldn't be an imposition on the participant's freedom to say what they wish as long as it allowed them to say what they wish &, I would argue, didn't deceptively edit that. Am I misunderstanding what you were describing in your comment?
Agree. Basically, Jubilee just lets these people come in and argue with each other. There’s always one loud mouthed person who talks over everyone else and interrupts. I would just like them to have a freaking mediator at this point so that everyone can get a chance to speak.
And who’s in charge of the fact checking? 😂🤡😂🤡
The problem with fact-checking is that for a lot of things in economics, there is a ton of mixed evidence. In an economy, there's a million and one variables, and those are very hard to control for. It would also put a lot of pressure on Jubilee, making them act as an arbiter of truth.

I feel like a lot of the issues that was brought up, especially with people leaving Cuba and North Korea, are much more problems of authoritarianism and totalitarianism rather than a problem of socialism. True, but Socialism has a tendency to lead to authoritarianism. The two are connected.

If I were pro-communism, my best argument would be the Easterlin Paradox which basically finds that within a particular society, rich people are happier than poor people but across societies, poor countries tend to be more happier than rich countries. Around the 40:00 mark, this is the biggest crux of Capitalism vs Communism. Capitalists are typically against the ideation and formation of monopolies, in order to ensure against this they must work towards decentralization of markets, currencies, and even power. The number one tool of decentralization has been the dissemination of power and wealth through decentralized methods; individual human rights through federated republics and competing businesses that compete not just in products and services but also in wages for the labor market, respectively. Communists on the other hand, put all their stock and faith into a singular state ran uni-society meaning a government/police/corporation hybrid.
For the former, if one part fails, you keep a majority and you have a chance at recovery. For the latter, if the one and only part fails, then the rivers will flow with blood.
Eddie seemed to carry his side of the debate. Would’ve loved to see more engagement between him and the other side because that seemed to be the only informative parts of the video.

People don’t realise that a dictatorship is an extreme version of a system that makes it impossible for the country to change its ways. There are capitalist dictatorships too, which is where an entire country is extremely into capitalism. The capitalist extremism works with democracy, so the rights of people aren’t being infringed like the communist extremist countries.
