As someone with a lot of trauma and having been physically/sexually abused before, it took me months to not flinch when someone gestured with their hands while talking, and even longer to get used to people walking past me close by, especailly in the work place. I will still always choose to walk the long ways around than to try and squeeze through a space next to somebody, because any modicum of accidental touch makes me tense up and panic so hard. Someone grabbing my hair like that would freak me out.

As someone with a lot of trauma and having been physically/sexually abused before, it took me months to not flinch when someone gestured with their hands while talking, and even longer to get used to people walking past me close by, especailly in the work place. I will still always choose to walk the long ways around than to try and squeeze through a space next to somebody, because any modicum of accidental touch makes me tense up and panic so hard. Someone grabbing my hair like that would freak me out.
