      What's wrong with having a baby. I really agree that sometimes people significantly your relatives going to ask you these absurd questions but now a days, unfortunately it is becoming common that not to have babies at the time when you are enjoying a charismatic and perfect figure and you don't want to be get annoyed and frustated by taking this responsibility just for the sake of material gains. That's why obscenity and vulgarity is becoming common and a matter of great concern and proving to be the devastating and lethal tool by staining their soul and bodies as well and make them deprived of the true, pure and sacred essence of their life. Thats why we are obnoxious, perplexed, wandering, lost, hollow, bewildered, spiritless and lost the true and strong connection with our God

    As a Pakistani woman, I can completely relate with her and I'll say it's not exactly the same for men. Yes, men are also asked when they would be getting married but not the way girls are harassed. Their own parents believe that if they don't get married their lives would be miserable that they need protectors because how else can women survive. Men aren't told that they can't have hobbies because if they do what will their wives think? Women, however are told not to sit a certain way, talk a certain way, laugh a certain way, dance a certain way, cook a certain way and even exist a certain way so that their husbands and in laws can find them tolerable. She isn't saying that marriage in itself is oppressive she's saying it might not be for everybody. Not everyone wants to get married and let's be honest with ourselves an unmarried man has a much easier life living among his family than a woman. A woman would be forced to get married after a certain age no matter how progressive her parents might be either through physical coercion or emotional blackmail. If you're a man and you don't understand what she's saying it's because you don't go through that stuff every single day of your life the way we do. If you're a man who believes it's just as bad for men then you are a typical man who doesn't acknowledge that in our society women have it a lot worse simply because your insecure self can't acknowledge that patriarchy is oppressive.

      Our society should change for good. So that we women also get married happily by our will...like the Islamic way. Our society made it like this....our parents house is company which mend women for men which is unislamic. Society should should teach both men and women to be good like Islamic way. Understand y we women are backing out from marriage...then u LL know the real problem and then u LL get the solution. We are not products we are human...if we adjust in life, men should also adjust. Women's are only made to adjust which is unIslamic. If man start living Islamic life then life will be easy for women also and she can also be religious.

      So this is what your religion has taught you. Dear there is always a difference between the world of fantasy and the realistic one. In novels it looks so amazing to read that you have to be bold, you have to be courageous. You have to take stand for yourself. You really don't need to compromise. you don't need to sacrifices your dreams, desires for someone. Honsetly, I do believe in this and an ardent beiever of don't need to sit at the table where respect is no longer served. But there is a smooth difference between western culture and islamic perspective and both are great contrast of each other. If being sitting, wearing or talking in a certain way makes you feel annoyed and frustated then you really need to consult God for this discrimination. May be you query will be solved and honorable men are just implementing the rules and regulations imposed by the creator. if you have some personal issues with your God then extremely sorry for your impuissance and helplessness

    I dont think this issue is with girls only, there are boys who are facing that too, including me
    "Bhai agar kuch karay ga nahi to koi apni beti kasay dega?"
    "Bhai apna haal dekh gym ja varna koi apni beti nahi dega" i mean seriously? Why does everyone care about marriage more than that person? Its just the backwardness of this era

    • @96muslimgirl
      @96muslimgirl 6 років тому +10

      Hannan Faisal its not like nobody ever cared about the person though.. i see it like this; when we are kids we are cared for, prepared for the future, we learn how to live life the best we can etc. Then the time comes where we have to take on the place of the previous generation and start a new generation, passing down our values like this. And that is how life continues. And yes, men definitely have their issues too, it is not just women that experience difficult times.

    I can totally relate to what she is saying. I am 27 years old, Indian. I met a Pakistani women in america who asked me, "kis pagal kutte ne bol Diya tumhe america aane ko, apne walid walidein k sath nahi reh sakti Kya?" This is an incident that happened with me and I will remember it for life. We often remember how people made us feel so i guess yeah, i will never forget those lines coming out of her mouth. I chose not to tell her anything bcz she was a mother of 2 and if that's what she had to say to someone younger than her, then I have nothing to tell her. This incident also made me realise how society thinks about women and how small and insignificant our dreams our in front of their eyes. This is how society is, perhaps I would have had a similar response if I were in my hometown. I bet atleast one of my relative would have asked me the same question. So guys, this is not a problem of India or Pakistan. It's much bigger and it's everywhere. I guess this is something that we all must realise. I am successful today and not dependant on any man. So my dear sister's, wherever you are, India or Pakistan or any other country, follow your heart and nothing is more important than your own life, career and dreams.

I also had to have my uterus removed because of endometriosis so no children are in my future. I dont mind because I am happy with myself and my freedom of movement. It breaks my heart that so many women all over the world are shackled. I hope that I see some real change in my lifetime. It's going to take so much work but I believe people standing up and breaking the silence will make it so.

      I think she meant equal rights in a conservative male dominant society, which shouldn't mean she would spend all life single and last as a spinster lady. She wants a partner of her own choice and a liberal life. On the contrary, in a conservative society, I may choose to spend lifetime as single and last as a bachelor. But I am not sure, what she exactly meant, as opinions may depend or differ person to person.
