Great video. Thank you for explaining the wiring/plug for the seat, you make things look easy. Also, the color combo on the seats is perfect. Can't wait to see the next video on this truck.
I know this is from three years ago but I am about to do this in my 00 single cab did you just get the original 99-02 plugs that plugin to the seats and wire those to the mbec?

I know this is 3 years late but I want to swap the inside of my 2000 gmc sierra 1500 sle and I’m looking to get new seats. Is there a certain type of seat I need. I just don’t know what to look for. Is there like a size thing I need to look at or something. I don’t really know what to do
I did a similar swap in my 07 with 03 seats. In 06 they changed the plugs and pin out. Lot more wires on the passenger side for the air bag swich and seat belt sensor. I only have power driver. But I still had to depin the 03 seats and put the 06 07 plug on them. On the driver I just added the t power wire and ground to the truck side.
I got that MBEC connector for my '01 to power my compact amp and powered sub. They both have 15a fuses. The amp has a 16ga power wire, the sub has a 14ga. So they don't draw enough to require large power wires, which is why I chose them. The sub was also chosen because I don't want/need massive amounts of bass, and it should small enough to fit in the space where the factory Bose sub was mounted in the '05 center console I picked up. If not, I'll just put it elsewhere. The amp is getting bolted to the console bracket where the Bose amp was.

Hey man great video I wish I would’ve found this sooner than running the wires my own method either way I have a few questions: 1. Did you source the plug in from the junkyard and just used the pigtail? 2. When running it to the box by the break pedal did you have to install the 25A (Seat)CB that’s located on the side fuse panel by the driver door? 3. Just to clarify you grounded both seats through the pigtail and gave power to the seats through that pigtail for the move function?
99-02 came with those seats. If your lucky you can find the door panels with the heater switch. It’ll probably be way more complicated than this install.
It looks better with those seats. My 04 tahoe use to have the middle jump seat and gray cloth seats but I ended up getting the same console you have and got all the seats redone to a beige color leather

Thank you Justin
Sourcing some nice quality door panels is going to be a tough one. The build looks great. How is the ride quality? I'm thinking about just doing a 2/4 but I don't want to sacrifice on the ride.
Ride isn't terrible but you can tell its lowered
Hey man great video I wish I would’ve found this sooner than running the wires my own method either way I have a few questions:
I listed all parts in video description. Already fused under the hood. Yes both grounded on chassis or floor. Power to pigtail
That’s a really good look
Thank you
Do you have a black carpet in you’re truck ?
No. Stock carpet
Great video! Thanks for explaining it so well.
Thank you. Hopefully it helps
Been wondering how to put heated leather in my 99 rcsb, is the 99-02 deal for the seats to the truck? Or seats from a 03-07 into the 99-02?
99-02 came with those seats. If your lucky you can find the door panels with the heater switch. It’ll probably be way more complicated than this install.
These are out of an 02 actually
Way more
It looks better with those seats. My 04 tahoe use to have the middle jump seat and gray cloth seats but I ended up getting the same console you have and got all the seats redone to a beige color leather
Thank you. I like the new look
@@TWAMotorsports have you ever painted the interior plastics on any type of vehicle or do you plan to in the future?
No. When I was in high school I did
I need to repaint the plastics on my 04 tahoe and I want to paint the plastics on my 06 crew cab too
Yeah original color would be all I would ever do
Cool trucks bro 👍🏻
Thank you
WOW...Thanks for the info Travis !
You're welcome. Glad I can help
Great videos as always, Instead of just cutting out the plugs and rewiring everything like u did could u not just pull the factory wiring out and transfer to your truck? Idk if that was an option.
Thank you. It isn't quite that easy unfortunately
Thank u for the timely reply, keep the videos coming. I have the exact truck like u have, v6 auto, manual everything lol. This would be a great upgrade as well as v8 swap like u did. Mine was a beater truck so have along way to go but I do have the interior looking nice with console. 1 day at a time lol, do u plan on doing power window and locks conversion?
You're welcome. Good luck on your build. I will do the power window swap but it will be a while
Do you know where your old black camaro is now? I sure would like to make a run at it
No idea.
What gauge wire did you use I missed it in the video. 14g or 12g?
12
If you add 2002 GMC Yukon Denali headrests you will not regret it, they’re soft leather and they support the back of your head alot better than factory headrests
I will check that out
Try to Denali arm rest too. I believe that's what the regency trucks used.
I have seen those.
Hi, can you convert the manual doors panels to electric door panels?
Buy panels from salvage yard
But what about the wiring?
Have to get that also
Anyone know the specific name or part number for the plug under the dash that he has in the description? Clicked the link and it’s not available anymore
Mbec plug.
@@TWAMotorsports thank you!
@Abraham_R_ you're welcome
