I love these trucks, not to old, not to new, they’re just the perfect amount of tech, not that having new things ins bad. It’s just the right amount of modern and old stuff where it’s easy to work on and understand, cheap, simple, effective, good looking, transportation and fun.
Watched this video along with some of your other uploads and was very impressed with the simplicity, knowledge, and the remote shifter in the console. As well as the ease of reinstallation in this video. It makes me want to redo the interior of my Lb7. Absolutely love it man.
My favorite part of that beautiful truck is definitely the giant, unobstructed back glass! I learned to drive and tow in an 01 Silverado, so this video was extremely nostalgic for me.
So detailed orientated. Alot of asmr vibes. Love it! I just bought a truck like my first one i had new back 20 years ago. I dont want to wait until I retire to get that loving feeling back!
That's a beautiful truck man and I love that the video was straight to the point. Will defiantly archive for future references. Should be getting started on my own carpet install soon for a 95 chevy 1500 extended cab :)
We don't deserve this video it's too pure for this world. I am definitely going to take apart my entire interior and fix all the rattles and put sound dampening now.
@@Jeff-jr3sg Man let tell you, I was getting so annoyed with all the rattles, I basically started fixing each and everyone one. The biggest one yet it's the actual truck hahah
Incredible.. hope to do this one day w/my single cab 04. Waiting another year for the seat to wear out then reupholstering both and purchasing a console to replace jump seat. This is a great representation of what I aim to achieve great work
I redid the interior of my 1999 Silverado and while I was at it i installed dynamat sound deadening insulation covering all metal surfaces inside the truck. Including inside the doors. It made it so quiet and much more solid sounding.
I have one of these trucks in almost (not quite) as good shape as yours. I have the tendency to catch and release trucks but I cannot bring myself to let this one go, they are so simple and so functional!
I got my Dad's rust free 2002 Silverado extended cab 2500 HD and I'll be doing the carpet and recovering both front seats, rear still looks new. Great video your interior looks awesome!
I just got my 05 ext cab cranked back up after it sitting a while. Electrical issues. It’s the same color interior and I’m on a mission to restore the inside. Looking at this made me realize I have such a long way to go!! Your truck looks amazing!!! I have a 2018 crew cab but I still enjoy driving the 05 a lot more lol
Have a silver '06 long bed I'm piecemeal restoring. Love the old fashioned basicness of the interior. No big fat computer screen in the middle of the dashboard , as if it's the main attraction of the truck. Not interested in the new trucks. I'll plug in my GPS, thank you, or use my phone. Bought it new and that interior is my cockpit. It's my comfort zone. Those wheels look outstanding. They do that truck justice big time. Good for you, drive it with pride.
This truck always had carpet, I just put new in. My dad and I just put carpet in one of his trucks as well which did have vinyl floor. We found it's a lot easier to pull a floor mat out to clean it when you have carpet than it is to keep the whole vinyl floor clean. It's as simple as keeping your feet on the floor mats.
This is a sweet looking truck, I have an 02’ Silverado that’s automatic would like to convert to manual, and I love that short shifter, not long like most you see
dont ever do that! the magic eraser is like super fine sand paper. you'd be damaging the leather that way, just use any car leather cleaner. i like using maguire's leather wipes for my leather steering wheel.
Inspiration for my 2000 Chevy Silverado rcsb. I currently have the rubber floor in mine but basically rebuilding the truck so deffinetly upgrading to carpet
@@dexterpowell2483 I got it from the Chevy dealer. I showed the oem part number in the beginning of the video somewhere. The holes don't come cut for either of the shifters so you just have to cut them yourself.
My mom has a 2006 4 door sierra that weve had for about 10 years and she loves it shell never sell it it was her first car so down the line i wanna do something like this replace everything make it look like new even tho we still have it in decent condition
great job on truck looks great. I am changing my 2005 carpet as we speak. I ordered one from GM dealership, had the in laid attached square mat, but not small part where the shoe would rub. I see after market ones offer it with both but not sure I can return the OEM one. I had watched some time ago the videos where you made the console.. very cool. I have a 99 parts truck and Im thinking of changing the center lower dash piece that has cup holder that flip out. The 2005 console has two at the the floor level. But if I add these there will be a place to hold the phone... anyway got the idea after watching your video. Many many extra parts...if you need anything... You can have for your generosity with the great videos...
Thanks man, that is a pretty good idea to gain a couple cupholders! The interior color may just be a hair different even though they look very similar, if you have dark gray that is.
me gmc truck does not have the insulation - sound deading on the floor as yours does. good idea to cover up the vent holes in the back, that makes a lot of noise.
that's odd I thought they all have that under the carpet. Covering the cab vents made the doors close harder and things like that so I really should let a little more air pass through but it hasn't bothered me too bad
My truck is the same base model as yours minus the standard.... I bought the door panels and harness and switches to convert it to power but later found out there were some pins in the dash wiring I didn’t have to make it easy to just clip in and operate like stock. I resold the switches and still have the door panels and harness. If your interested and want to take a look at them let me know.🤝😎
Interior goals right thare. Except Im staying with my short console now all I need to do is convert my seats to leather. And find a way to use the power door panels with the manual window crank.
Really like how this video isn’t ruined with the typical non copyrighted montage music. Like hearing all those clips in the interior 👍🏻👍🏻
Theres nothing worse than what youve described in my opinion
This video was so satisfying idk why
I completely agree.
It made me want to take apart my interior
This is borderline therapeutic. Something about seeing a truck I’ve seen hundreds of times be so well kept/redone
Finally somebody who does shit right! No half ass job, No annoying uncopyrighted music and all oem parts. Hand’s down best video.
Interior so clean that i would take off my shoes when getting inside the car lol
Almost be a shame to take it off road
@@joedelgado8467 it’s meant for off road but yes you’re right
Cleanest Silverado interior ever
LOVE that truck man! And the remote shifter is awesome AF... if ever I gets a 5 speed truck I’m gonna make one too

You have set the standard with quality content and simple, relevant explanation. Outstanding work sir!
Your videos are almost therapeutic.. it’s nice to see someone else care so much for the GMT800
Fabulous. I have done that twice to two of my vehicles over the years. Looks fantastic when they are done. Great job!
Keep it all manual.....
Very very rare

Not sure if fixing the rattles is possible on this year truck 😂
Carter I got a gm900 so while nearly impossible it’s still possible with a bunch of title life hacks

don't see guys with your attention to detail and patience much anymore man. great video. subscribed.

Could've put some real sound deadener on the floor while all that was out, but awesome job nonetheless
What you recommend?
Like dyno Mat maybe
I was thinking the same.
Love the sound of those clips
