We're smoking/grilling up a gigantic T-bone porterhouse steak on the Kamado Joe Classic 2 this week. By reverse searing it, we lock in the juices before finishing it off over a super hot fire.

You must be a carpenter also because you flat out NAILED it. Awesome finish. I would prefer that the sirloin was sliced just a little bit thicker. Thanks for the video.

Wow you solve my heat shield problem after getting the basket. You put them on the plus shaped rack 😱. Why I didn't think about it my self. It's not faling any more. Thanks.

I’m grilling a Florentine Steak tonight for the first time on my new KettleJoe. Going to set it up for with Big Joe deflecting plate, it fits great. Then sear the heck out of it and see how it comes out. Thanks for some great grilling advise thru video content. I appreciated our!

Nice grilling! Can't get that on my gas grill (even with a Saber grill). Just ordered a Classic 2 and can't wait to cook on it.

New Kamado joe 2 user here but trying a t bone tonight, so watched your video for an idea 😄😋. I assume you warmed your steak to room temperature prior to cooking?!
Do you use any mesquite or applewood chips ?
    Thanks for the video
    Dee

Hi Dee! Thanks for watching! Yes, I let the steak come to room temp or close before cooking - usually around 30 minutes or so. On this particular cook, I did not use any wood chunks, just the natural charcoal flavor!

I like your effort, execution needs alot of work before you put "perfect" in the title.
    Keep trying :)
