Lol, yeah, the days before the Gameboy Advance Special and its backlit screen. That first GBA was murder on the eyes. I had the Gameboy Player for GameCube, so I could play them on tv
Yes, it's a very cool Castlevania, but the navigation through the castle is not the best (because most of the time you will be going up or down) and not to mention that the chances of dropping the cards are ridiculously low. I would say that if you want to have a better experience with the game it's good to apply the "Card UP Patch" (And that's exactly what I did), which makes the cards to be acquired by exploring the castle and enemies are more likely to drop healing items.
My first Castlevania game that got me into the series as a whole back in the day. Definitely one of the most difficult incarnations of Darcula. Other honourable mentions are Adramelech and the twin Zombie Dragons.

Yeah, Camilla was the one who resurrected Dracula in this game. Death was a mere security guard this time. Still no clue why the necromancer had dialogues rather than Death, tho.
Ironically, the first time I fought the Necromancer I was like "What? Death this early?" and just thought it was called like that because of localization issues (like the cross beign more of an x rather than an actual cross)
Yeah and I find it odd that he's so good at it. The double tap dash is the whole reason most people take damage in the game in the first place. We can't rule out that he's used a hack to be in permanent run state.

I faintly remember getting to Adramelech and couldn’t beat him without using the boomerangs. Then I remember getting to the dragons and giving up thinking they were mandatory. Also loved how the *whip* sounded like a punch. Also 17:48 lol
Not really? He was hit by 4 hits of 21 equalling 84 damage during the move, in comparison it restored 300 HP, meaning a net gain of 216 health, which is a positive total for the dragon and damage that you'll have to deal back, they aren't considered the difficulty spike of the game for nothing, if the dragon could do this indefinitely it would be almost impossible to beat with pure whip.

The last boss of this game was definitely the hardest. Dracula is a cakewalk on his first phase but Demon Dracula is a friggin’ nightmare because his attacks can nearly KILL you! I mean, he has meteors, lasers and friggin’ poison bubbles! They are DEADLY! After you get through that, he will start to rush into you, it can KILL you!! Then he becomes a floating eye shrouded with bats and it’s equal as deadly. The hardest Dracula fight next to PoR and OoE imo. But the other final battles are equal as challenging, I found Dracula Wraith from HoD the least difficult but I think Chaos (totally not Dracula!) and Dmitri transformed (also not Dracula!) are still a decent challenge though. How were you able to beat him that fast?!? I can’t even do it that quickly. For all you struggling to beat Demon Dracula, I suggest using Tonfers or Swords or summoning a monster like Cockatrice or some giant Electric Bird (or Dragon or whatever it was) or the Unicorn (to restore health). By the way, the final battle music (Proof of Blood) is the best final battle music in the entire series. All those final battles are awesome in those games. It is satisfying as ever when you kill them.
GBA and DS Castlevania is far superior to the Game Boy games, truth be told. I really like how the GBA and DS Castlevania follow the SOTN formula, I really like that. They have RPG Elements and Levelling Up and take much longer to beat (a common complaint from me in RPGs but they’re still awesome).

Even though Circle of the Moon isn't considered canon within the Castlevania time-line, it sure does have the tight ass stiff movement of a real Castlevania game ;)
Well it was never made to be part of the canon, the devs themselves even say so as part of the Japanese announcement that this takes place as part of a different timeline where the Belmont clan doesn't exist. The part with it being removed from canon (and by Iga) is misconception, it never was in the first place, it was made as a fun and very difficult Castlevania game.
That bubbles poison you, and the poison actually deals quite the damage, considering that finding antidotes is quite hard, and it's even harder to find potions

This guy made the final battle with Dracula look easy. That shit was hell for me as a kid...
You are super pro man 🙌🏼always watch this video before boss battle thank you for the upload 😘
Even though Circle of the Moon isn't considered canon within the Castlevania time-line, it sure does have the tight ass stiff movement of a real Castlevania game ;)
Actually, Circle of the Moon was placed back into the timeline. Infact, Legends is the only game not to be reincluded into the timeline.
What? When dis this happen?
It was in the timeline that was part of a pre-order bonus bundle with Portrait of Ruin.
I can't believe they just slid under the Cerberus and hit it without being hit. The play almost seems reckless it's so good.
Some of those close calls made me flinch
Always have loved this version of Dance of Illusions
i guess this is the hardest castlevania that i just quit in the first 15 minutes of playing.
Essa batalha final contra o Dracula tem umas das atmosferas mais loucas de toda a saga. Sensacional!
My ranking for the COTM bosses:
1. Dracula
2. Death
3. Hugh Baldwin
4. Camilla
5. Zombie Dragons
6. Necromancer
7. Cerberus
8. Iron Golem
9. Adramelech
Adramelech kinda makes me think of the Icon of Sin from the Doom games.
i swear its my best game ever !!
4:57-5:07 it's perfect!!
I love how so many of the boss's attack with what bubbles of pure evil?
That bubbles poison you, and the poison actually deals quite the damage, considering that finding antidotes is quite hard, and it's even harder to find potions
Aaah yes the great Eclipse! Fighting the new member of the God Hand!
You leveled up at least twice in almost EVERY boss fight!!!
damn dude how many resets did that last boss fight take you? That was a pain in the ass in my playthrough..
What shader do you use ? Reply plz
I remember this game being difficult as fuck, coming from symphony of the night
I was always wondering why Nathan did not suffer the negative effects like John Morris did when using the vampire killer.
Lol circle of moon is not canon story, more like spin off castlevania
What emulator and video setting is used here ?
Probably VBA (VisualBoyAdvance) with Sal filter, but not 100% sure
3:46 Iron Scotsman.
