It's good to know that after so many years, Konami of America correctly translated the Symphony of the Night and allowed the narration in Japanese to understand how sad this game is and the final showdown between Alucard and Dracula has nothing heroic, just the lamentations of being the one misunderstood, he sold his soul in pursuit of revenge. Castlevania is much more than a struggle between light and darkness, it's about what man is, what power is, what eternity is and what we must choose and abdicate to move forward.
You're a bit overthinking. The dialogues take the minuscule amount of a game. And it's just what you expect from a gothic literature, a bit depressing and looking at what happens within the human soul.

It's not half bad! But I like the English Dub version of the final conversation between Alucard and Dracula better, where Alucard says his mother told him "if you cannot live among them, then at least do them no harm, for theirs is already a hard lot". This mention of this struggle humanity faces on a day-to-day basis is completely absent in this original Japanese version. Instead, Alucard's mom simply asks him not to seek revenge on them without that explanation as to why they don't deserve it, which feels shallow and doesn't make Alucard's heroism very believable. I also like how in the English version, Dracula quotes a bible verse, which shows (alongside the fact that he had a holy chapel in his castle) that despite being a prince of evil and darkness he was (perhaps) a devout Christian, or at least held onto religious beliefs which deepens his character. It showed (alongside the mentions of Lisa) that he wasn't just evil for the lulz, and he was probably at odds with himself until the very end. Also I like at the end scene when Alucard brings out one of my favorite quotes "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph... is for good men to do nothing.", instead of in the Japanese version where he arbitrarily lectures Belmont on how only humans have the power to 'destroy the world' and somehow not the cataclysmic forces of Dracula and his many world-endingly powerful minions? lol Honestly the only thing I DON'T like about Symphony of the Night is how Dracula's story didn't end there when it CLEARLY SHOULD HAVE.

Alucard has such a crazy move set towards the second half of the game that it's nearly impossible to die. I love the game and played it a great deal, but they needed to tune the difficulty a bit. Death was an easy fight. Death should NEVER be an easy fight.
+Nice-Guy Hunter Depending on what tools you equip, Galamoth is either extremely hard for incredibly easily, with very little in-between, from what I have played/seen. If you have the item that lets you heal from electrical damage as I did, for instance, the fight just became so long, monotonous, and boring for me, because he has so much health yet you get practically all of your life back every time he tries to zap you. (Extra Thoughts) As much as I loved many parts of this game, I felt that it suffered from extreme “feature-bloat” that made the gameplay feel needlessly convoluted, without a challenge that is hard/multi-layered enough to warrant all of that. Plus, certain power-ups felt overpowered and/or made some of your other abilities pointless (like why would one ever use the wolf form when Alucard has the upgraded bat form, and why would one use the bat form when his fog form is fully upgraded especially with the poisoned cloud). I also felt that the game should not allow you to get universal stat increases via experience points (like a turn-based RPG), only by the power-ups and new tools/abilities you gain, like the Metroid games. I never got the point of trying to master your platforming skills and reflexes (as I would for a game like Super Castlevania IV), when simply grinding for more experience points will eventually allow you to kill everything in one hit and barely take any damage from the current enemies/bosses. Meanwhile, if one is really good at mastering the game’s action platformer controls/mechanics, then the added challenge of trying to grind for more experience points against higher level enemies and strategically use or equip weapons/armor/items/spells/etc. (as in a turn-based RPG) becomes almost redundant, since you can just keep dodging their attacks and whittle away their health until they die. That is why I still like the combat of Super Castlevania IV significantly more (and possibly the first Lords of Shadow game’s combat slightly more than SotN’s), out of the three Castlevania games.
i was actually expecting a boring video with a fucked up overpowered alucard defeating the bosses with a few hits. but thankfully i was wrong . you were pretty low leveled allowing the bosses to fight back and having a real fight and all, really a nice video to watch, very nice. i really love this game, but the developers made the main character way too powerfull, and the bosses way too powerless. i mean really you don even have to grind a long time, the bosses become jokes with just minutes of leveling.
Actually, he wasn't low leveled at all, he was using the max luck mode which makes you a third as effective as normal, which again, is why he actually has the Medusa Shield considering its insanely low drop rate. Judging from his gameplay of practically only getting the life max ups from bosses, he's between levels 15-18, which isn't as low as you think it is considering how easy the game is. Worse, is the part that he's using what's essentially the starting sword which is literally replaced in 30 seconds in the luck mode with Baselard, then again with Jewel knuckle. Both of which are not only faster, but stronger than the weapon he's using. TL'DR he's doing far less damage than he should be, not even including the MS+SR combo.

If you have the item that lets you heal from electrical damage as I did, for instance, the fight just became so long, monotonous, and boring for me, because he has so much health yet you get practically all of your life back every time he tries to zap you.
(Extra Thoughts)
As much as I loved many parts of this game, I felt that it suffered from extreme “feature-bloat” that made the gameplay feel needlessly convoluted, without a challenge that is hard/multi-layered enough to warrant all of that.
If you grind exp and weapons it gets pretty easy.
I found the continuous fog ability to be a bit too overpowered
wow, you have a credit of not using Beryl Circlet to fight Galamoth and you still manage to do well. Nice, man!!
i was actually expecting a boring video with a fucked up overpowered alucard defeating the bosses with a few hits. but thankfully i was wrong . you were pretty low leveled allowing the bosses to fight back and having a real fight and all, really a nice video to watch, very nice. i really love this game, but the developers made the main character way too powerfull, and the bosses way too powerless. i mean really you don even have to grind a long time, the bosses become jokes with just minutes of leveling.
Thanks! I'm glad that you like it.
Shadowserg THANK YOU! Always love your video.
Especially with the Crissagrim and Muramasa, this game can be exceptionally easy
Well, except Death. That one he completely roasted in SECONDS.
32:48 that japanese voice for Shaft though
(From his brief monologue to that laugh... uh the laugh especially was especially scary. Hats down to the man behind Shaft for the japanese version)
Kiyoyuki Yanada, who also voiced Richter Belmont in Castlevania.
funny few years ago (like 15) I thought I beat the game until buddy of mine told me don't kill ricter not true ending lol
Using unofficial translation of the japanese version eh? Nice choice. I use that translation too.
