The Wood Shop is looking good. I can't get over how industrious you are, and when I think back to not that long ago when you were putting up wainscoting in your entry hall, or making storage pieces in your old little garage, and now you have the big shop on your ranch, and the Wood Shop. Just totally impressed. I admire you so much, and had to let you know.

I like to watch the creativity of wood working UA-cam has. I really love this channel because you not only create wonderful things you make a point of using scrap wood! I have yet to hear any channel talk about the hazards of working with some wood types. Fumes and/or dust from them can be toxic. Ironwood is one type. It is very common in the south western states like Arizona and Texas.
These kind of projects are a lot of work but I get how good it feels to complete one. These are the kind of projects I enjoy doing. Can't wait to see your completed project and see it working. Thanks for sharing

I would have installed rigid foam board over bottom side of roof purlins and foamed right up to it or just foamed over if your not going to apply a sheet good finish. There is a bunch of radiant heat that comes through from roof.

Between yourself and Wranglerstar fitting out your workshops its nice to see the unique features that suit you both. Lovely stuff.
You'll never regret going with spray foam. I live and work in a metal building fully spray-foamed and the level of insulation is astonishing. Also, I have 2 mini-split ductless which chill this 1500 sq foot down even on the hottest gulf-south summer days.

I installed a MrCool 36K unit in my RV garage shop and love it! I did have a problem with the original condenser unit and was very impressed at the level of customer service they went to in order to send me a new unit in just a week and picked up the original unit. I love the MrCool split system unit and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I am insulating my old barn right now, and your space is way bigger. I totally get how much work it takes to insulate all that space.

A.W. First, congratulations!!! What an awesome journey you're on. Second, I'm a recently retired (6 months now) VP of Operations with experience managing manufacturing operations just like yours and have a few suggestions. 1. Keep your heat and cooling bills low by installing some Big Ass Fans in the ceiling. They're awesome.2. Read up on Lean Manufacturing and the philosophy of Kaizen. Implementing the key Lean tools and making Kaizen (continuous improvement) a way of life in the factory will make your production operation soooo much more efficient and profitable. Best of Luck

@@AprilWilkerson probably shouldn't have used craft faced Batts over the spray foam, should have been unfaced to keep from creating a double vapor barrier and trapping moisture in between.
