like the first tip, I was always salty about the tab mess at the start of each league

It took me many leagues to actually do it xD
the master of toxic rain arrow :D i always watch your guide and it work somehow
tip 1: set up stash tab on standard so it shows up on temp league NICELY
tip 2: set up loot filter for new league
tip 3: set up atlast and POB level tree
tip 4: have trade search for uni or items your build needs (better trading extension)

I highly suggest a similar setup but only using 3 tabs. Put armor/weapon in one. Put gloves/boots/helm in another. And jewelry in the last. If you need to use a quad for one of the first two sets, then go ahead. This is most important for easing the sorting when you put them into the tabs. And then pulling them out is still easy to remember what you need to grab out.

I'm a tually using chaos recipe enhancer. Using 1 quad dump tab and let the app work with what i have to click in what order. It also highlights what i have to pick up (what is missing for recipes). You don't have to sorr items yourself. 1 quad tab is enough for 12 chaos recipes.
Choose a character name that doesn't suck and reserve it.

If we set up better trading links now, will it search in the right league when the league starts or will it search in standard since that is the only league available right now?

Also don't forget to choose a good name for your char. I often found myself struggeling to find good name which is not already in use by others. Otherwise it can take a few minutes until youre in the new league.
You can check in standard if the name is available.
I always find names on fantasynamegenerators site.. lol

Nice Tips! Also i Love autohotkey + lailloken UI during leveling to see what to do next each step of the way. Also you can link your (leveling) pob which then shows every included gem, where you can get it earliest / should pick it as reward. //Ziggyd made a video about it

How do you specify the prepared search for the new league instead of standard. Since standard is the only option till later tonight?
You can manually edit the bookmark link, but last league when I prepared searches with standard selected, they all worked for the league after changing the trade website selection to the current league, just make sure to check.

You can confirm for yourself that the bookmarks automatically change when you change league by flipping between SC and HC on the tradesite, for me it does, which is convenient.
