Not sure I can say I'm a 'new' player anymore, but as someone who is very unregimented and easy going in life, I can't overstate how much of a positive sea-change it was when I started rolling and running maps in bulk. This is so useful as a beginner, thanks! Maxroll articles on currency farming strats kept recommending to use Vaal orbs on maps and it would keep getting me killed lmao.
It’s almost never worth vaaling maps unless you have a large quantity in bulk to run unless your build can handle reflect and no leech/regen. I chaos spam mine to around 85-95 and load them with two scarabs, two fragments and exarch alter.
@@brandonkruse6412 I played an Elementalist so reflect wasn't an issue, however having lower energy shield recovery really messed me up. @@Rikent I just roll and vaal 50 maps at a time. Take out the small number that brick. The juice is worth losing 5 or so maps out of 50. Unid corrupted have the same mods as before, so they are fine.
one thing i learnt over the years is to not always focus on the meta maps sometimes your build is better at running things like toxic sewers and that okay you will generate way more currency going for a map that fit ur strategy and current build that going for something that meta and slows down ur income
Silo, beach, atoll, dig, and collonade are all ones I remember like that. They were easy to get but were great to run on a bow build when low on the maps with great div cards.
When do you start doing this (chisel 20 quality, chaos-or-scour&alch bad rolls)? Right from the beginning tier 1 maps? Or do i only turn those maps magic and wait till higher tier for alch? For chisel & alch? For chisel & alch & vaal? Is there a guide site with the recommended rule of thumb for what to do to each tier of maps before running them?
Might be a noob question, but on leaguestart how do you manage to hoard a lot of supplies (like a lot of chisels/maps/scarabs etc), do you just outright save currency and buy many maps/supplies in bulk?
So i downloaded X-mouse control and i binded mouseUP and mouseDown to leftCTRL but whenever im spamming the mousewheel,it doesn't go as smoothly as yours..also if i have currency/essences/maps etc, whenever i hover to stash it to the certain affinity,it swaps to the stash-tab automatically and i believe it makes it slower, any idea how to not auto-swap the stash tabs?if i mousewheel on essence,it swaps to essence stash tab to put the essence in it and so on with currency/maps etc..
Another alternative instead of using the .* (although you can't be as specific) is using tyty's vendor search method (i.e. b-b-b|runner). So for my build I avoid: no regen, enemies avoid ele ailment, no leech, less recov, and -max res then in the tab search bar I would put "leech|regen|rate of|avoid ele|player res" make sure to include the quotations I worded them that way to make it unique to that mod specifically and not get confused with other mods like player cooldown recovery I personally have this auto set up in my awakened poe trade, so I just roll all the maps and then just click the button and it will highlight everything. Very easy very comfy.
The pipe symbol is an "or" logical operation that you would use in conjunction with what I showed. You can also negate matches as well. Play around with the poe.re operations to learn more about how it works.
I also think so. Its the same map, but corrupted and unidentified. I think the Rule is, that the corruption-action can only perform 1 of the listed actions. And besides for example, "changing modifiers", the option: "making the map unidentified" is also 1 action. So no changes others than hiding the mods on the map happens.
If you are even remotely juicing your maps, i recommend running 8-mod maps! Just 48 Cemeteries with Gilded Cartho, a wandering path tree and the sextant mod net like 450 8-mod maps, and the ones that roll with unusable modifiers can still be sold on TFT for 12 : 1d
A thing about the Awakened PoE Trade Map Checker: Yes, it can only check one map at a time, but it is also a client-side tool without network usage. So you can spam it as much as you want. On top of that, Aw. PoE Trade has the option to save search queries as little button widgets. Combining all three, lets you get quite efficient. 1. Repeat 2, 3 until all are highlighted 5. Check all with the Map Checker Tool (here you put your build specific mods, like CDR, no regen, reflect etc) 6. Put bad ones by the side 7. Repeat until all good or start at 2 with all bad ones I got filters for quant (75, 80) and pack size (25, 28), and a lot of highlighted mods for the checker itself. Very comfy!

I am pretty new, only got to tier 10 maps, but i avoid "this area contains many totems" ( alongside - resist for me and anything that messes up my chaos damage or monsters have chaos resist > 30% or spell suppression ) like a plague because i am not sure will my chaos impending doom build work on totems. I encountered some totems in game that were totally impervious to anything i got... ( and some i managed to kill ) so was that a fluke or am i right to be careful ? Does anybody know, because i dont want to try it out :D I have some tier 11 maps that i want to try and from two i want to try one was 30% chaos resist before i corrupted it and got unindentified and other has many totems. So if i would be ok with totems then i would do this one, if not the unindentified one ( i believe it has the same mods as before, they are just hidden ). I can clear tier 10 maps pretty easy so i guess 30% less dps wont be that bad if totems are a no go.

Impending doom is not really a good skill unless you're backing it with a huge slew of curses (3+) to ramp up the end damage.
You probably encountered a totem with an invulnerability aura, making all the surrounding mobs immune to damage. You just need to kill the totem, usually at the centre of the pack
Great stuff... but you're using Awakened POE Trade and regex, and no mention of Sorting Panels (or whatever they're called)! You can assign each regex to a button in a panel, give it a nice name ("Normals", "Bad Maps", ...) and then just click down the line. Great for sorting loot or rolling maps or whatever. Easy to save bad map checks per-character too. Apparently not very mentioned in the docs, unfortunately.
Love the content. Playing your Fire Trap build, and liking it, since i cant invest 5h per day :). Just missing some DPS, survivability is rather ok with al your content on defenses. Now trying to see how to get DPS higher and keeping the survivabilty.
For me, I tend to be focused on just things I cannot do. I might avoid -max res or crit chance+crit multi maps if I'm near a level on SC, but most of the time unless the mod bricks my build, I just deal with the deaths. Now HC play is different entirely.
Also when considering damage modifiers, I tend to focus on whether or not there are multiples and how they play into each other. Crit mod on a map on its own can be scary, but it's way scarier if monsters have multiple Phys As Extra damage modifiers. Not to mention some builds can fit in gear or passives that reduce the danger of crits significantly. For instance poison builds can take a mastery node saying monsters you poison can't crit, which if you're ranged means you're highly unlikely to take a crit from any monster. Still technically possible but the risk is highly reduced.
great video sub! assuming that you you can't roll rare map with less than 20% quant, this should work for you as single regexp: "!tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma" "m q.*[1789]\d" or something like this: "!tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma" ti.*\+[1789] . personally, I like to highlight maps that I still need to roll (dark map = ready to run) and then regex could look like this "y: [nm]|tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma|ti.*\+[2-6]" (selecting normal/magic maps, scary mods and quant below 70) - it could only fail if you roll rare map with less than 20% quant but I don't know how to do it without annuls.

Thank you soooo much for this. I have not been playing this game that long. so this helps me sooo much. mwha
great video sub! assuming that you you can't roll rare map with less than 20% quant, this should work for you as single regexp: "!tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma" "m q.*[1789]\d" or something like this: "!tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma" ti.*\+[1789] . personally, I like to highlight maps that I still need to roll (dark map = ready to run) and then regex could look like this "y: [nm]|tal d|f ph|eec|h tem|% ma|ti.*\+[2-6]" (selecting normal/magic maps, scary mods and quant below 70) - it could only fail if you roll rare map with less than 20% quant but I don't know how to do it without annuls.
I have a guide: Chisel -> alch -> vaal. Not 8-mod? Vendor.
